Not sure your marriage stat mean people should give up on ever having sex and romantic relationships. It’s a lot harder to get/stay married than to just have sex or have a relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/22 11:42 PM
1

Not necessarily. Some people just like feeling of possessive. And some people like their partner being possessive.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/22 02:27 AM
2

Insecurity can be part of it. Sometimes it’s possessiveness which kinda is different.

Men have free options too they just gotta dig deeper in the bottom of the barrel for the ugliest, brokest, most unstable, untrustworthy woman around. She’ll be your gf, she might not have anywhere else to go and she might also lie and get violent and steal the silver ware but whatever.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/22 01:41 AM
1

I want: smart, nerdy, good face (by my standards), emotionally mature, good communicator, financially independent, sexually adventurous, fairly lean body, politically progressive, ok not having kids. He wants: nice figure, pretty face, smart, emotionally supportive, kind, politically progressive, enthusiastic about sex, financially independent. FYI your original questions were both y / n so for future reference maybe phrase differently
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/22 01:27 AM
2

Well if we’re including fake relationships where one person is just using the other then men can get those too lol. Just find a woman who’s willing to be your “girlfriend” for the right price.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/22 12:47 AM
1

I’m talking about men. You claim a woman can always get a relationship but women have standards and that’s what stops them. I’m saying men also have standards for who they’ll LTR.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/22 12:36 AM
5

And what makes you think those woman have more options for real relationships than their male counterparts?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/22 12:34 AM
4

How many men do you know that would accept literally any woman as his gf? Like it doesn’t matter her how ugly, unstable, untrustworthy, and generally messed up she is, he’ll get into a real LTR with her (not just use her for sex).
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/22 12:28 AM
10

Women at the very bottom also struggle to get LTRs. Let’s not act like ugly men are jumping to date them. A lot of guys will aim for more attractive women even if there chances are very slim. And lot of guys would rather pay for the company of an attractive woman than date an ugly woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/22 12:15 AM
4

What “men’s plea” are you talking about getting ignored? Being lonely sucks but that’s not really a standalone topic of debate here on PPD.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/22 12:02 AM
1

Yeah keep it adventurous and you’ll never get bored and once you’ve switched it up for a while sometimes the old stuff starts to feel new and exciting again so you can go back to that.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 11:31 PM
2

In general your sex life should get better not worse as your LTR goes on
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 11:15 PM
2

I hadn’t noticed but these trends have a way of shifting over time so wouldn’t surprise me
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 10:52 PM
1

I’d have questions but as long as he didn’t have any serious feelings for them I don’t think I’d care
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 10:31 PM
1

You asking what I want or what my bf wants?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 08:50 PM
1

Yeah I know what I want in a guy. Don’t know about guys generally but yeah I know what my bf wants longterm.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 08:16 PM
1

Care to elaborate what you mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 07:55 PM
1

Plenty of people lie to their gfs/bfs and wives/husbands. Getting serious doesn’t guarantee honesty at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 06:56 PM
1

This dude’s not trustworthy. That’s why you’re having trouble trusting him. You like him so you’re probably trying to believe the best about him despite what you know.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 06:41 PM
1

Have you caught him in other lies beyond the first one? Has he done things that show he’s inclined to be honest and transparent even when it’s difficult or uncomfortable?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 06:36 PM
1

An essential question is whether he actually deserves your trust. Has he generally behaved in a way that shows trustworthiness?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 06:29 PM
2

If he’s talking about the study I’m thinking of I believe the study showed men and women sexual images and measured physical arousal. Men’s statement of when they were aroused more closely tracked physical response than women’s did.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 06:06 PM

Oh I don’t usually argue with the super extreme people since it’s pointless and it’s way more fun and effective to just mock them lol. I just try to inject reasonable takes into the overall PPD discussion so young ‘uns will have a non-extreme viewpoint to consider.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 05:23 PM

I’m here half for entertainment and half to counter the extreme bullshit with more reasonable takes
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 05:05 PM

Your grammar makes it sound like you’re saying the liberals have more in common with her Edit: your edit clarified the point
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 05:00 PM

Probably not
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 04:42 PM

There are a couple dudes who seem ok, but by and large no
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 04:23 PM

Immigrants being racist toward American-born black people is basically a rite of passage in the US
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/22 04:23 PM
16

This post is so delusional. Everybody knows women don’t exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 06:06 PM
2

That depends on how their sexual desire works, doesn’t it? If you only desire to have sex with women who actively desires you, then I don’t consider that as objectification. The idea of having sex with somebody who doesn’t actually want you is repulsive to some people.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 05:10 PM
3

And if you want somebody to like you and think highly of you? What kind of object are they in that case? If the point is just that we understand people to have a physical form then yes of course we are thinking of them as “objects” in a sense. But as you point out to objectify somebody you have to deny their agency, not merely understand that they have corporeal form.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 04:47 PM
2

I don’t like a wide jaw, narrow set eyes, or strong brow. Assertive is good assuming he is also capable of being chill and going with the flow. If he has to be in control all the time that’s not attractive to me. The rest of the stuff is either neutral or positive.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 04:41 PM
1

I wish somebody would tell me I should get a diamond or that my rock isn’t big enough or whatever. I’d laugh in their face lol. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time people disapproved of something I did.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 04:22 PM
3

Care to elaborate?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 04:13 PM
1

Bored could mean a lot of different things. She could be bored because she doesn’t like the conversation topics you like. She could be bored if she likes going on adventures and you don’t. She could be “bored” because she just isn’t attracted to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 04:06 PM
1

No it’s not the same. I understand that it’s a social nicety and that I will never know their real opinion. It’s much more akin to not knowing what anybody thinks, which is perfect. If both my bf and I love it then that’s all that matters to me. It’s a symbols of our relationship after all.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 03:58 PM
1

I don’t care what other people think about my engagement ring which will probably not be a diamond. Everybody I know will say they like it no matter what they actually think because they understand social niceties lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 03:45 PM
1

Who cares what other people think? I’m the one who’s going to wear it every day for the rest of my life so I’m the one who needs to like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 03:30 PM
2

Materialism means having an excessive concern with material things relative to other things
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 03:28 PM
2

Why are some of y’all so desperate to find a way to consider yourselves cucked lol
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 11:22 PM

Not recently. Are they writing a lot of articles about getting rid of men?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 10:57 PM

Where are you seeing all these articles about woman led utopias with no men?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 10:47 PM
2

I absolutely think that being sociable and friendly is a good way to increase dating options. I’m not sure why you think I disagree with that?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 10:43 PM
1

With a total stranger? If I’m trying to get something out of the interaction then yes. If I’m just chatting in the dairy aisle for no reason at all, then no that’s just small talk.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 10:35 PM

Dating somebody with kids doesn’t say anything about self respect tho
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 10:34 PM
1

Do you mean cold approaching? That’s extremely inefficient. Warm approaching gets you more bang for your buck imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 10:22 PM
1

Only you can decide what you’re comfortable with of course. I will say that seem to be assuming a lot about what’s going on in her head. Different people have different reactions to having a crush. Personally liking somebody has never gotten in the way of me staying friends with them. It’s not a traumatic thing for me. Having them cut me off if they found out would have been more harmful. For some people it’s the other way around.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 09:54 PM

Man people play such stupid games lol. I’ll never understand.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 08:31 PM
1

You keep saying the original comment was crystal clear, but then you say that your comment included the (unspoken) point about men not vetting as much as women because they have less options? You’re communication isn’t as clear as you think. That’s not an insult, that’s true of pretty much everybody myself included which is why it’s good to ask for and give clarification imo
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 08:12 PM
1

Oh I read it and understood you to be making a new point, since you had already “clarified” and insulted me for trying to read between the lines of your original comment lol https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/yg77q1/dating_would_be_a_lot_more_easier_for_both_sexes/iua0ket/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 07:45 PM
1

So you’re saying this comment was actually about vetting? https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/yg77q1/dating_would_be_a_lot_more_easier_for_both_sexes/iu9xce4/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3 Because I’ve been trying this whole time to get you to explain what point you were trying to make about vetting in that comment. Feel free to explain or you can just resort to personal attacks lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 07:33 PM
1

I never said otherwise
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 07:05 PM
0

So your reply to my original comment didn’t actually relate to vetting got it
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 07:05 PM
2

Yeah I’m trying to understand how that relates to my comment about vetting that you responded to I assumed you were saying men can’t afford to vet because they have to approach as many women as possible even if they don’t know them (cold approach)
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 06:51 PM
2

Are you saying guys have to cold approach? That’s definitely not true. Lots of men pretty much never cold approach.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 06:29 PM
1

Depends on whether / how you’re making money during the marriage
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 06:12 PM
0

Would you watching porn bother her?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 05:51 PM
1

Sounds like your in a place where assets from before marriage aren’t up for grabs in divorce. That’s common and usually a trust isn’t even necessary to protect the assets. That doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t have to pay her anything on divorce though.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 05:48 PM
2

And they said put your assets in trust and you’ll be protected? Maybe that’s true where you live but it sounds like a solution cooked up by somebody who doesn’t know the complexities of divorce law. It’s rarely that straightforward from what I’ve seen.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 05:20 PM
0

Was this a divorce attorney?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 05:08 PM
1

For a relationship? Probably not but for casual sex yeah I bet they do. Isn’t that basically some guys’ strategy for getting laid?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 04:54 PM
1

Talk to a lawyer dude they can help you come up with an actual plan lol
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 04:52 PM
2

Yeah sure and now albinos in America are all white Americans lol. Let’s not act dense.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 03:54 PM
2

The trauma of rejection probably depends on how stable your self-esteem is and how often / brutal the rejections are.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 03:52 PM
2

He’s still not African American though lol
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 03:36 PM
1

I don’t know. Maybe she expects you’ll value her friendship enough to reconsider the rule. Maybe she expects you’ll end the friendship and that’s the price she’ll have to pay for confessing. Maybe she really does want you to end the friendship. I get the feeling that ending this friendship is hard for you so you’re trying to put the decision on her to ease the pain. But it’s not clear that is what she wants.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 03:30 PM
1

How so?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 03:13 PM
1

I’ve bought some comfy stuff from Adore Me. Not sure how it compares to VS.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 03:11 PM
3

Vetting is a good way to avoid wasting time on people who are total non starters
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 03:06 PM
1

Or maybe she wants to stay friends but also wanted to confess her feelings to get them off her chest. Confessing feelings may have just been what she felt was the right the to do. Bottling things up isn’t always a good solution.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 03:02 PM
2

Cold approaching seems like a giant waste of time. You’re going off very little info. I’ve only ever made a move on guys I know.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 02:52 PM
2

I don’t think it’s fair to assume she doesn’t want to be your friend if she hasn’t said that. It’s your rule and not hers that is ending the friendship. Not to say you are in the wrong for not wanting friendships with people who like you, but saying it was her intent to end the friendship is a little presumptuous.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 02:42 PM
1

Who said anything about being afraid? I’m aware of the concept of sexual compatibility and went and found myself a bf that I’m compatible with. No fear required.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 02:34 PM
1

In my basement. Wire me 200K and I’ll build one for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 02:26 AM
1

True very expensive to build from scratch
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 02:22 AM
5

Yeah he’s not a keeper
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 02:08 AM
3

Nah that’s an excellent reason for a breakup lol
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 02:06 AM
1

Not saying they’re doomed especially if they have attractive qualities but I think it becomes a lot harder around those heights
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 12:58 AM
1

For super short dudes like 5’5” and under I think it’s pretty tough
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 12:49 AM

A lot of them are teenagers who are catastrophizing
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/22 10:13 PM
1

Your friends are annoying so you’re dumping the nice guy? Make it make sense
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/22 04:55 PM
1

Right. If there’s a rapist hanging around I think most people would want to know
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/22 10:01 PM
1

If she indicated that she’d seriously date them and never intended to, that would be leading them on imo. If she’s just casually flirting that’s no big deal. Flirting is not a promise of an LTR, as the vast majority of women already know lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/22 09:40 PM
1

Led them on how exactly? Sounds like she flatly turned them down when they asked her out.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/22 09:24 PM
2

You LARPing today?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/22 09:20 PM
1

Incels are a radical fringe group and I see no reason to give them cover by lumping them in with normal virgin men
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/22 09:19 PM
5

The soyboys that I know both date and fuck
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/22 09:14 PM
1

This can’t be a serious question lol
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/22 09:07 PM
1

That made way more sense than I expected
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/22 08:56 PM
2

Wat
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/22 08:55 PM
3

I only apply the term incel to men who subscribe to incel ideology. I don’t lump all virgin men in with that cesspool. Being a virgin and trying to get laid is perfectly normal and fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/22 08:52 PM
1

Nah some women like dating guys causally and not getting committed
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/22 08:47 PM
3

“What matters” depends on what the woman wants
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/22 08:40 PM
2

A lot of men care about status more than they admit when it comes to dating
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/22 06:23 PM
2

Eh I don’t see much of a difference IRL. I think the tanning is actually less extreme than when I was in high school lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/22 08:35 PM
1

Yeah that’s a good alternative too
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/22 08:33 PM
1

I’m a big fan of gemstone rings especially different color sapphires 😍 but you can also get lab diamonds for way cheaper than 10K
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/22 08:14 PM
1

Never watched it tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/22 08:09 PM
2

He could have gotten a ring with a return policy. I’ve seen return policies between 30-90 days.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/22 08:07 PM
5

I’m so confused by the post about and the supposedly new SMV arms race. Like tanning, teeth whitening, styling your hair, and working out aren’t exactly new phenomena.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/22 08:03 PM

Nope he’s talking about catfishing read it again https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/y8jto5/daily_community_chat_megathread/it52tge/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 01:43 AM

If the shoe fits 👟
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 01:42 AM

Of you mean attracted a girl who was trying to beta bux
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 01:29 AM

Not sure I qualify as a beta lol but I make a lot more than my bf, more than double
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 01:24 AM

Imagine catfishing people on OLD then acting like you’re the real victim lol
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 01:22 AM

Is it somehow harder for men to recognize desperation when they see it?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 12:49 AM

I prefer that he have been in love at least once before so he has some perspective
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 12:44 AM

Looking at him do what? If we’re talking about still images then yeah I feel little to no attraction. If the person is actually speaking, moving, and doing stuff that’s different.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 12:40 AM

Looks are just part of the equation. If a guy’s looks are terrible that will disqualify him completely, but looks alone aren’t enough to make me want to date or have sex with someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 12:31 AM

Sounds like a dog whistle
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 12:24 AM

The desperation is reaching critical levels
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 12:15 AM

The idea of discouraging kink-shaming comes from people who think kink shouldn’t be stigmatized. That’s obviously contested. Some people think it should be stigmatized and usually speak and act accordingly.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 12:06 AM

Women bad! What part don’t you understand?? Hmmmm????
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 11:50 PM

If you know who down voted you report them dude. It’s not that complicated. Happens all the time to men and women alike.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 11:33 PM

The US healthcare system is shitty and expensive
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 11:26 PM

Everybody gets downvoted dude
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 11:24 PM

Yeah social media can’t be good for the youth. I’m not going to have kids but if I did I’d give them a flip phone and dassit lol
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 11:02 PM

Yeah that may be true among like 18-21 year olds. I feel like that’s a time of peak insecurity for all genders.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 10:53 PM

IRL hardly ever see anybody stressing about people who are hotter then them
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 10:49 PM

I don’t think Stacy is worried about Becky tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 10:40 PM

I’m not clicking that link lol. Your vibe is way to scammy.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 10:38 PM

I’d say the same for men honestly
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 10:35 PM

I agree that women don’t worry about it as much. I thought you were saying that men obsess over Chad because they are constantly being compared to him by others
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 10:33 PM

Don’t women get compared to Stacy too? I’m not following.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 10:28 PM

Such as?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 10:27 PM

Where?!
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 10:26 PM

Are men more stressed about Chad than women are about Stacy? 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 10:22 PM

Jealousy is a disease bruv
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 10:13 PM

All men are submissive for the right woman. It’s just natural, as men chase.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 10:03 PM

Dominance which lots of men also find quite hot
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 09:41 PM
2

Black hair and dark red hair are the prettiest imo
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/22 11:08 PM
1

Not sure and didn’t ask. I met one guy and he was like 5’10”ish. Another guy she mentioned was like 6’5”. So a range I guess?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/22 10:54 PM
1

Years ago my older cousin used to keep a list of the guys she was talking to on OLD, with notes about each one so she could remember which was which. That’s when I realized the numbers are stacked online especially if you’re an attractive woman. Sounds like it’s gotten worse in recent years.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/22 10:23 PM
1

Why would they be more humble lol. Because men they don’t want to sleep in the first place might try pump and dumps them if magically given access to sex with lots of attractive women?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/22 07:26 PM
5

Pumping and dumping usually refers to a situation where the woman was interested in something more serious
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/22 06:48 PM
3

Most people know that a good chunk of men prefer casual sex over commitment, given either choice
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/22 06:34 PM
1

So now you like thicc thighs? Flip flopping all over
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/22 06:24 PM
4

You can have thick thighs and still be well within a healthy weight range lol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/22 04:15 PM

Yes but I have basic internet literacy lol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/22 01:14 AM

You’re a mod. Can’t you like ban them or something 🤷
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/22 11:36 PM

Just boomer tings ya know
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/22 11:25 PM

Casual sex doesn’t rob a person of any of those things lol
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/22 10:48 PM

Sadly this is actually a controversial take
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/22 10:44 PM

The equivalent would be a guy telling his girl he’s obsessed with a fictional character which is also 🤷
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/22 10:23 PM

My bf and I have a shared interest in conspiracy theories and weird internet subcultures so we talk about this kind of stuff
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/22 10:19 PM

I don’t know if it’s lovebombing, but if he’s only known you a week I’d at a minimum question his judgment
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/22 07:09 PM

Among regular non-celebs I think kink is probably your best bet for getting a harem
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/22 10:36 PM

I don’t know about any harems. I know of two poly/open marriages but I don’t think that’s what you mean.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/22 10:20 PM
1

Lol nice
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/22 08:22 PM

I thought you got banned for three days ?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/22 08:16 PM

Stacywidowed without ever dating Stacy 💀
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/22 08:11 PM
1

I guess I really am a unicorn lol. Fwiw if a woman feels she is settling for a guy who makes less then her thats’s a problem, but if she never cared about guys making more than her then I don’t see why she’s any more likely to cheat
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/22 07:20 PM
2

I thought all women can easily get laid so not sure why you think this specific case makes it more likely
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/22 07:02 PM
1

Being very good at cooking and fucking is certainly not universal
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/22 06:54 PM

Worked for my bf too haha

Pro tip for men who want to date a woman who makes a lot more money than them: Learn how to cook and fuck real good
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/22 04:43 PM

I’m sure it happens. I just don’t know of any women who do it. If they are doing it they’re keeping it quiet probably for obvious reasons.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/22 09:40 PM

I dunno some of the men PPD seem to want women to date guys they aren’t that into
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/22 08:55 PM

Have you tried?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/22 08:54 PM

I don’t know any women who go after barely legal guys who aren’t barely legal themselves
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/22 08:51 PM

CMV Being in a relationship with somebody who isn’t that into you is worse than being single
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/22 08:49 PM

I never “approach” because I’m not going to date some random stranger. I have made the first move by asking a guy I know out on a date or just telling him that I like him.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/22 08:48 PM

Only have a bf but yeah I make a lot more
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/22 04:51 PM
1

’Cause honey I'll come get my things, but I can't let go
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/22 12:03 AM
1

That’s fine? I’m not trying to convince you to change your dating habits
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 10:07 PM

Hemsworth lacks the cheekbones to be a 9
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 06:31 PM
1

Yeah
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 06:22 PM
1

That’s a good one. I always thought he was kinda overrated.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 05:24 PM

Seems about right to me

Q4All: Which celebrity (or random stock photo) is an example of a man who you consider to be a 7?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 05:08 PM
0

Yeah that’s very weird
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 04:54 PM
3

Based and cannibal pilled
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 04:33 PM
8

I agree that he needs to communicate how important having a strong sex life is to him. How he has that conversation is essential. I don’t think “making her understand the gravity” and convincing her to “step up her game” is a good idea. That’s setting up an adversarial dynamic instead of a collaborative one.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 04:25 PM
3

Sound like incompatibility. She’s probably not going to suddenly like doing those things so if that’s a dealbreaker the relationship is probably not going to last. One alternative is to see if she’s interested other things that could help spice up your sex life, and that would be mutually enjoyable.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 04:13 PM
1

I prefer to avoid having sex until I actually feel like having sex
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 12:16 AM
1

I’ve broken up with people that I loved before so it’s not that scary a prospect for me. It’s one of the risks of dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/22 10:08 PM
5

Yes I met all of them in person. And no I didn’t have any regrets about waiting until after we were in a relationship. If it was bad I could have just ended the relationship I suppose but that never crossed my mind.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/22 09:44 PM
8

Sure, that’s been the norm for me. In 3 out of 4 relationships, I waited until I was in a committee relationship to have sex. In one instance it started off casual then became serious.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/22 09:00 PM
5

This dude really said people who oppose slavery are the real baddies
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/22 05:11 PM
5

Is this supposed to be ironic because that punch line had me rofl 🤣
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/22 03:33 PM
7

So the fact that the partner is attractive isn’t the issue here, it’s their behavior that you don’t like? Literally nothing in the OP said you’re not allowed to take issue with your partner’s behavior. It’s about being aware that hot people get attention no matter what, and not being insecure about that fact.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/22 03:11 PM
5

So you’re talking about a situation where your gf isn’t actually attractive, but she’s dressing in a way that gets attention? That’s not the situation we’re talking about here lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/22 03:01 PM
3

Everybody is allowed to have boundaries in their relationships and expectations about how their partner will act. OP’s statement is still true.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/22 02:58 PM
7

If your partner is attractive they’re going to attract people, even if they aren’t seeking out attention or testing their partner. That’s a fact.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/22 02:44 PM
2

Excellent point
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/22 02:39 PM
1

Using OLD is it exchanging quality for quantity
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/22 02:23 PM
1

Maybe this is a better question, how do you convert your observations into a specific IQ? Do you have a benchmark IQ (your own for example) and then compare other people to yourself in terms of intelligence in order yo guess their IQs, or do you have some other method?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 08:57 PM
2

Yeah there are IQ tests out there but I’m guessing most women don’t know or volunteer their IQs, so I’m trying to figure out how people are estimating this
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 08:50 PM
2

And what’s your benchmark? Your own IQ?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 08:49 PM
3

My understand was that those conversion tables are not very accurate. I’ve looked at the charts but I wouldn’t affirmative claim to have the IQ they ascribe to me, though it would be a nice ego boost haha
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 08:41 PM
2

How do you measure the IQ of women you interact with?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 08:13 PM
3

Curious how you measure that
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 07:31 PM
17

I think most women have know since at least adolescence that they are romantically in competition with other women, especially when it comes to appearance. Do I actually spend time worrying about it? No not really.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 06:57 PM
1

If they conceded the first point there’s literally no point in arguing it anymore
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 06:47 PM
1

I never said it wasn’t hard. You claimed they’d already reached their natural limit, but sounds like you’re backtracking now.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 06:37 PM
1

It may be funny but it’s not moving the goal post. Whether a building is 6 stories or 4 stories is a different question then why the number of stories is significant.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 06:36 PM
2

How is that moving the goal post lol
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 06:26 PM
2

How is that moving the goal post? Sounds like they just don’t care
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 06:25 PM
2

Care to provide an example? I don’t think most of them are actually trying to max out their size tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 06:22 PM
2

True some of them are def fit, but they are far from the super bulky guys that some PPDers thing every woman wants
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 05:23 PM
6

But how did they get loaded and high status in the first place? By appealing to a lot of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 05:16 PM
1

Yeah that wouldn’t surprise me tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 05:03 PM
1

That’s how I ended up with my bf. He’s shy and I put the full court press on him haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 04:59 PM
2

In my experience the guys with these traits (except maybe unable to carry on a conversation) are more likely to approach. That’s partly why I do the initiating when I see a guy I want, rather than waiting around to see who approaches me.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 04:49 PM
0

Some problems I’ve encountered include: To loud or extroverted Don’t like the topics I like to discuss Kinda basic Uncomfortable or incapable of carrying on a conversation that has a good give-and-take Rude Too fixated on appearance Too macho
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 04:44 PM
1

Of the guys in my dating age range who I encounter (which is not a random sample) I’d guess about 5%? Maybe a little higher?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 04:39 PM
2

Super jacked, like Hemsworth at his biggest, is overshooting the ideal. And at that point I really think it’s for men not women. Hemsworth is getting cartoonish in his proportions, but it’s an unattainable body so that makes it desirable for an action hero who is supposed to be ultra masculine and powerful.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 04:32 PM
5

Pretty close actually. Slightly smaller and you’ve nailed it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 04:30 PM
2

I don’t know the demographics breakdown of viewers, but its a successful industry and it’s cranking out romances and romcoms left and right
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 04:25 PM
3

Did you think there was a rule that no ‘roided man can be attractive? Obviously that’s not the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 04:21 PM
2

Ah you are unfamiliar with Kdramas I see
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 04:14 PM
3

There’s a reason most of the super ‘roided actors are action stars and not romcom stars. That juice is for you, boys!
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 04:09 PM
3

You got something to say then say it lol
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 03:59 PM
3

Let’s be real, that’s a good looking guy with out with steroids. If he was fit and natty he’d probably be like a 9.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 03:54 PM
1

Nothing I said implied fault. Not sure why it provoked such a defensive reaction.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 02:32 PM
1

In retrospect there are things that I now realize were signs of his issues, but to be honest he presented himself as a more stand up guy than some of my other exes who were actually decent human beings. So if I was being that strict, they’d all have gotten filtered out and I’d be a FemCel or something lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 03:18 AM
1

The worst guy I had a relationship with came across as the most clean cut, respectable guy. Didn’t ever swear or raise his voice, calm demeanor, stable job, clean apartment, polite to everybody, close with his family. But once I actually got into a relationship I realized that he was deeply fucked up like psychopath level shit for real. Like if I told his family what I know about him, they probably wouldn’t believe me.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 03:08 AM
1

If a woman left the apps because she got tricked into thinking she’s in a real relationship, then she didn’t get what she wants lol. She’s getting played. But anyway, the fact remains that the dynamics on OLD are based on the active users. Inactive users don’t match and don’t swipe so who cares.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 03:01 AM
1

So then she’s taking him off the app with her, no?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 02:53 AM
1

Yeah. If you don’t know somebody that well you’re basically just red flag spotting, which is a pretty crude method
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 02:53 AM
1

I think you’re saying you have to spend enough time around him to see how he reacts to a lot of difference situations? I tend to agree, problem is that takes quite a bit of time.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 02:51 AM
1

What do you mean “get what they want?” Does that include the woman who tried it out and decided she didn’t like it or what?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 02:49 AM
2

That my thinking too. Though it doesn’t even have to be that he’s trying to hit it and quit it. Even guys who are looking for an LTR often put on a fake good guy persona at the start.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 02:48 AM
2

That’s a good trait, though hard to gauge if you haven’t known somebody very long because people often act extra nice at first. It’s easier to gauge when you date somebody in your social orbit.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 02:46 AM
2

Active monthly users are the relevant pool if we’re talking about what the experience of being on the app is like
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 02:43 AM
1

Q4All: How can you tell if is potential bf is a proverbial “good guy”? I know there are lots of ways to tell that a guy is bad news, but what ways are there to tell if he’s good? Or is that something only time will tell?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 02:35 AM
2

How dare you
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 02:24 AM
2

Which dating app stats are those? The ones that say the male to female ratio is fucked on OLD?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 02:09 AM
4

This is not an answerable question. There is no single “level” of difficult that men face. Extroverts are playing a different game than introverts. The guy who’s above average in appearance (but not a Chad) has an advantage over the guys who is slightly below average. The guy in a small town faces a very different dating landscape than the guy who lives in NYC.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 12:54 AM
2

And that is…? Come on man, if you can’t even bring yourself to specify the definition you’re referring to I’m guessing your point isn’t that strong
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 12:03 AM
2

I’m can’t Google the specific definition that’s in your mind bro, especially since it’s probably more of a vague feeling than a proper definition lol
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 12:00 AM
2

And what are these multiple definitions pray tell?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 11:53 PM
4

Anybody who dates non-virgins is a cuck now? That word really has lost all meaning huh.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 11:37 PM
1

Brutal
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 10:50 PM
1

You’d prefer that women who get boob jobs be less happy afterward? That’s cold man 🥶
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 10:39 PM
1

That’s messed up. I knew a few girls like that growing up.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 10:12 PM
2

Wait are you married? Or are you saying hypothetically you wouldn’t marry a woman if you had those feelings.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 09:58 PM
2

Ime most men who are super into the woman they are dating will turn down the offer even if it sounds appealing. This obviously doesn’t apply to people in the poly scene, but it’s what I’ve observed among guys who expect their gf to be monogamous.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 09:52 PM
1

People are entitled to their simplistic opinions and ideologies, but if you make of nonsense and call it science that whole other level of buffoonery imo
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 09:33 PM
2

When I say biology here I’m referring to the field of study. It’s a valuable field imo and there’s is important knowledge to be found there.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 09:23 PM
3

I wish random laypeople would make up theories for physics and chemistry they way the do for biology
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 08:32 PM
10

PPDers talk about biology the same way Flat Earthers talk about astronomy 😂 just make up any old story and call it science
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 08:27 PM
3

You just made that up and called it biology, didn’t you?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 08:24 PM
1

It’s dipping on your commitment
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 08:00 PM
2

Doesn’t matter if my man never gets a bunch clout. If he’s the kind who would dip out once he does, then I don’t want him at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 07:42 PM
2

Sounds like you’re saying it’s a bad idea to date or marry guys who don’t have prior dating experience because they don’t know how to behave
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 07:41 PM
3

You’re saying all average and below average guys will cheat if they eventually glow up? Sounds like a good reason to go for guys who already have options and yet choose to be faithful.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 07:37 PM
1

Suits are for work and special occasions, that’s all.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 07:31 PM
1

Are these your only friends? Or do you have other friends you can rely on? It’s generally not a good idea to go into a relationship and socially isolate yourself from other sources of support.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 07:21 PM
1

You don’t just have to listen to what a person says, you can also watch how they behave. If she’s a gold digger she’s gonna try to get some gold.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 07:06 PM
1

I just threw up a little
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 05:35 PM
1

Who are you talking about? Because I’m talking about my own experiences.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 05:02 PM
1

How so?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 04:59 PM
3

I had one guy get super uncomfortable with my offering to pay. I insisted and he acquiesced but it made him visibly uncomfortable lol
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 04:57 PM
1

I typically go Dutch but I won’t force the issue if a guy insists on paying
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 04:51 PM
3

It should be very easy to tell if money is the primary factor, or even close to 50%. A woman who doesn’t care that much about money isn’t hard to spot. She’ll live her life in a way that demonstrates it.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 04:39 PM
3

How many woman are capable of convincingly pretending for decades to be a loving and caring gf/wife who doesn’t care about money, when she’s secretly a heartless gold digger who dgaf about you and is looking for the richest man around? That’s beyond academy award level acting skills 😂. Also there are plenty of men who are happy to date and marry gold diggers so there’s no need for for such women to resort to this kind of elaborate scheme.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 04:30 PM
3

I thought you were worried about women who don’t actually love you and are just using you for money. That should be easy to spot. If you’re trying to find a gf or woman who doesn’t consider money AT ALL when looking for a partner, consider looking for a woman who subscribes to either asceticism or a boho lifestyle, or a woman who is independently wealthy and looking for a boytoy / stay at home husband.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 02:44 PM
37

You seem to know a lot of women who feel that way, go ask them. I’ve never been in that position before.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 02:22 AM
54

I wouldn’t be mad, I’d just say we weren’t compatible and move on
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 11:47 PM
2

If I consider it “dating up” then I consider the guy a catch
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 11:37 PM
1

Consider clarifying your question to make clear that the 1.5x salary may be the only thing this guy has going for him. But let’s be real. No woman in her right mind will consider a man who makes 1.5x her salary “a catch” if he sucks in every other respect.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 11:18 PM
2

She sounds like a patient woman
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 11:03 PM
2

No I don’t think a 1.5x salary automatically puts a guy into a higher league
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 10:53 PM
4

You got answers you just ain’t like ‘em 🤣
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 10:47 PM
2

Are you asking if a 1.5x income, by itself without knowing any other factors, is enough for me to consider a guy in a higher league?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 10:38 PM
2

Not enough info. What other traits does he have besides making 1.5x what I make?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 10:27 PM
1

No that’s just science 🧪 🧫
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 10:17 PM
3

I believe OKCupid did research that had a subset of people rate the attractiveness of profiles pics. There wasn’t a universal “rate” function or anything like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 09:15 PM
1

No no no the device you’re thinking of is called a bra
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 09:10 PM
1

Man that’s tough, sounds like you had strong feelings
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 08:46 PM
34

Is it hard to tell if a woman is with you for money? Seems like it would become pretty obvious but I could be wrong
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 08:36 PM
1

What did you like about her?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 08:23 PM
6

The era of the soyboy is ending. The era of the oatboy is now upon us.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 08:22 PM
3

You’re sounding hotter by the minute. I love a man who can cook 😍
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 06:47 PM
3

Spend them on me and it goes up 10x
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 06:45 PM
4

Take a friendly but casual tone Bring up some topic of mutual interest and mention how it made you think of some positive memory that the two of you share Ask how she’s doing and ask specifically about something that you know is going on in her life (eg working toward a degree, some hobby she has etc)
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 06:24 PM
2

That might have actually worked IF you indicated that you were NOT into that other guy because he lacked [insert positive trait that your actual crush has]. But honestly just be truthful next time.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 06:16 PM
4

Depends what went wrong in the relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 06:09 PM
2

Yes of course, neither women or men are total lemmings. I’m talking about trends not absolutes. Some people truly don’t give a shit what other people like. I personally prefer finding the overlooked diamond 💎
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 05:54 PM
2

Guess we’ve read different studies 🤷
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 05:48 PM
2

Theirs a lot of self-reinforcing going on and it affects how men act even before they’ve locked the woman down. I’ve been the woman around whom the consensus forms, and it’s a totally different ballgame. In other contexts there are always guys who find me attractive, but once you are crowned the “it girl” the way guys react to you is on a completely different level. It’s truly fascinating to watch.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 05:46 PM
3

He probably liked you. You indicated that you chose somebody else so he’s keeping his distance now, which is reasonable.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 05:36 PM
6

True 😭 imagine fumbling so badly. She already had this guy in the bag and then blew the whole thing up.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 05:33 PM
6

There’s a lot of discussion of pre-selection by women on PPD. But I think guys do a lot of pre-selecting too. In my experience men will often look to other men for confirmation of which women at the hottest, and then afford those women higher status in dating because other men think they’re hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 05:32 PM

Nope I’m talking about egalitarian between men and women
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 05:22 PM
3

😂 why are your friends so terrible at giving advice?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 05:21 PM
2

Has male domination been the norm for most of human history? I thought that there was evidence that hunter gathered societies were fairly egalitarian.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 05:00 PM
2

Sounds like you’re saying men don’t like women having the right to impose their own standards and preferences by saying “no”. That’s undoubtably true of some men on PPD and maybe your right that this explains the grievance against women having preferences but men supposedly not being “allowed” to impose their preferences on women. It’s a grim interpretation of what’s being said but that may be the root of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 04:52 PM
2

So you’re saying they’re mad that the women they want don’t want them back, and they think that’s happening because those women dislike their internal dating preferences?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 04:41 PM
2

True they may be able to persuade people to approve of their preferences, but my question was more about why they care so much about that approval in the first place
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 04:32 PM
4

I don’t know, I keep lots of my preferences to myself because I’d be judged for them and because they’re nobody else’s business. Every thought and judgment I have about dating and sex doesn’t need to be aired. To the extent your problem is with people disparaging and insulting certain body types yeah I agree that’s shitty. But I will say that fat women get made fun of all the time so the idea that they are immune from body shaming is just made up.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 04:28 PM
2

And what does that mean in this particular context?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 04:23 PM
2

Could be but I think at least some of these guys genuinely feel persecuted
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 04:19 PM
3

My opinion on whether / why it’s wrong depends on your reasons. But my question is why do you care about my opinion of your preferences? Personally I don’t go around laying out the specs for my ideal man because that’s weird. I just live my life and date who I want without ever telling anybody what the ideal shoulder to waist ratio is.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 04:17 PM
7

I was thinking of the PPDers who claim that men aren’t “allowed” to have preferences. Like what are the consequences?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 04:12 PM
2

Persuaded to do what
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 04:10 PM
13

If other people don’t like your dating preferences, so what? Why does it matter?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 03:55 PM
1

Yes I think that’s probably true
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 12:29 AM
2

Some men are very uncomfortable being complimented or hit on, like they think it’s a trick or something lmao. I’ve had dudes get bashful and even confused lmao. One guy asked my why I liked him and when I said I thought he was cute, he deadass said “that’s a lie.” Fortunately some other dudes are chill with it so it’s all good.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 12:25 AM
2

I had an ex like that. Dude deadass said that as his gf I should “just know” what’s upsetting him. I broke him of that real quick.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 12:20 AM
1

Why?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 10:55 PM
5

That’s wise. It all starts with a simple cavity filling then next things you know you’re selling your soul to Satan in exchange for a slightly longer rinse.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 10:36 PM
2

Exactly so they can seduce you to the devil’s ways
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 10:34 PM
3

Few peope realize that only men can practice Dentistry. If a woman works on your teeth it’s called Dentcraft and it’s the devil’s work.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 10:31 PM
2

On PPD, yes I do but otherwise no
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 09:59 PM

How many 18 year old girls who date 30 year olds or vice versa do you even know? I’ve literally never met somebody in such a couple.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 04:02 AM

Just say you’ve enjoyed spending time together but that you don’t see the relationship moving forward
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/22 09:21 PM

The cost is spending my time in an unpleasant manner. The likelihood that I’ll click with somebody I barely know is very low so the cost outweighs the likely benefit.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/22 08:16 PM

Cost outweighs benefit
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/22 08:01 PM

I’ve always found these games silly. If I like somebody I make it clear. If they act disinterested or play hard to get, I move on.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/22 07:30 PM

People who get in fwb relationships then act like victims when their love isn’t requited annoy me. That’s childish behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/22 07:18 PM

Sounds like your girl is in denial about the status of her situationship. You should tell her to stop lying to herself. He’s not into her and FWBs aren’t boyfriends.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/22 07:14 PM

And why do women treat men badly? Is it also because men reward and respond positively to it?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/22 07:04 PM

How did this conversation even come up? Did your gf ask their opinion or are they giving unsolicited advice?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/22 06:46 PM
8

Person A is literally under a magic spell lmao. I prefer to date real people who posses free will.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/22 06:27 PM
3

Zero effort is the optimal amount to put into OLD
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/22 03:17 PM
2

Lol I have a guess who it is. DM me if you want to hear who
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 11:58 PM
1

Was it one of the PPD regulars?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 11:52 PM
1

Sounds like it
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 11:35 PM
2

Was it the guy who asked about how many partners in the last 5 years?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 11:34 PM
1

It’s third on my list after Jean Luc bot and batboy bot
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 11:28 PM
1

I was just about to say subsidize R&D for dem bots
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 11:19 PM
7

Two, my ex and my current bf
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 10:34 PM
8

Not a good idea to be financially dependent as an adult if you can avoid it. Anything can happen and you need to be able to take care of yourself (and your kids if you have any).
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 10:25 PM
1

5’6” and 118lbs
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 10:12 PM
5

So we’re not talking about a situation where the woman is financially dependent?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 09:58 PM
1

I guess I don’t think receiving guidance from somebody makes them a role model per se. Might just be using different definitions.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 09:57 PM
1

Yes I’ve had several mentors and I agree that they can be a huge help
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 09:34 PM
1

You could do worse than Old Benny
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 09:22 PM
1

I usually think about traits I want to have or goals I want to achieve, not people I want to be like. Like you said, I try not to idolize people because everybody has flaws.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 09:18 PM
3

I love my parents and admire things about them but I’m not trying to be just like them. Some things I emulate and some things I reject.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 08:59 PM
2

Is having a role model a popular thing?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 08:54 PM
1

How so?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 08:30 PM
2

Works out great for me and my bf and I doubt that will change once we get married
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 08:21 PM
8

I don’t have a role model of either gender
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 07:38 PM
3

It’s definitely games but it’s ok, lots of people play games so you’re not alone
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 07:33 PM
3

You may or not be messing with her head depends on the woman but you’re definitely playing games
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 07:25 PM
3

How dare you
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 12:27 AM
1

In their primes Angelina Jolie and Cindy Crawford come to mind. Tina Kunakey is a more current one
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 11:46 PM
2

She’s cute but no I wouldn’t say she’s a beauty
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 10:55 PM
5

I guess beauty really is subjective
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 10:43 PM
25

Make everybody hot
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 08:35 PM
1

Breaking your jaw like that can mess up your facial structure so I don’t begrudge him some additional cosmetic work to try to make it work as best he can
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 08:24 PM
2

You should post a pic of your thong bikini show all of us dat ass
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 08:07 PM
1

5’11”
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 07:55 PM
3

He got into an accident that shattered his jaw apparently. I feel bad for the guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 07:53 PM
2

Oh you like food. You know who else likes food? Dogs!
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 06:21 PM
1

Having rules restricting sexual relationships between superiors and subordinates is common sense. People shouldn’t have to compete with the bosses gf/bf for a promotion, people shouldn’t be in a position where putting out can affect their for job advancement, and companies don’t want to deal with the fallout of allowing all that to happen
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 05:52 PM
1

Not having a gf or having had several break ups can be a dealbreaker for other people sure. It just depends what they’re looking for. Neither is inherent defective.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 04:03 PM
1

19 years, 7 years, 7 years, 6 year, 3 years. One of them is now my bf. All other guy friends who wanted “something more” are no longer my friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 12:16 AM
15

IRL insulting or degraded men for being short is something I’ve seen more often from women than men
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/22 09:57 PM
2

PPD is simultaneously mad about overpopulation or panicking about underpoplation and low birth rates
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/22 08:52 PM
6

Yeah that’s entirely possible. Women might also decide to make men set money aside for them in advance before having kids, basically you have to pay all the child support up front if you want to have kids as insurance.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/22 08:50 PM
3

Ready to be in an individualist relationship where there’s no obligation to support your kids? Yeah sure
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/22 08:42 PM
3

True for mistresses and wives alike lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/22 08:33 PM
6

Mistresses aren’t any worse off than wives in your scenarios 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/22 08:29 PM
3

I’m not sure the pairings will be any better. It’s a recipe for more individualism in romantic relationships and higher levels of child neglect.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/22 08:27 PM
1

Everybody gets matched with their looks-opposite!
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/22 07:53 PM
5

Seems like that would incentivize women to prioritize financial independence over getting married or having kids. I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but I strongly doubt it would improve the dating prospects of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/22 07:50 PM
2

You’re missing half the other half of the equation
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/22 07:35 PM
4

I assume men also can’t see women? Either way you’ve probably just spelled the end of OLD.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/22 06:48 PM
1

How do you figure that?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/22 04:04 PM
1

Yah well I don’t like men with vertebrae
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 08:41 PM
3

By attention do you just mean getting hit on?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 08:27 PM
4

As the child of divorced parents I can confidently say that you’re being so dramatic right now lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 05:33 PM
3

Or that abusers are good at pretending and lying about who they are
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 02:14 PM
1

I was using social extraversion as an example of a quality that he might want and which would require him to bring something other than $$. If money is all he brings then he’s a catch for a gold digger and that’s about it. I know you said he has intelligence, but people who have intelligence but lack social skills aren’t that fun to be around so that’s not as big of a plus as you think.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 01:22 AM
1

I’m trying to figure out why you think he’s a “catch” for the type of woman he’s looking for. If you want a social outgoing woman to be your girlfriend for example you probably have to go and socialize.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 12:33 AM
1

There are some elements like impact play that I enjoy in the right setting but overall the scene you just described doesn’t appeal to me, no
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 12:15 AM
5

Most women don’t want a committed relationship with just any random man. Whoever told you that lied to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 12:12 AM
0

That can easily be characterized as BDSM lol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 11:49 PM
1

What’s so bad about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 11:37 PM
1

What do you consider rough sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 11:27 PM
1

We’d been friends for about a year before we started dating
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 11:18 PM
-1

What kind of woman is he looking to get into a relationship with?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 11:17 PM
0

What is he looking for?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 11:11 PM
1

A few weeks
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 11:01 PM
1

That would be cause for fear, but sounds like he’s just conflict averse
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 09:55 PM
2

What is he afraid is going to happen?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 09:45 PM
1

Afraid of what?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 09:40 PM
0

No
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 08:05 PM
2

Sure dude
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 07:53 PM
2

All of them
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 06:48 PM
1

Right I think a lot of these celebrities have special arrangements in their marriages
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 06:33 PM
1

What age?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 06:04 PM
2

I mean from my perspective, what signs would I see that I’ve Stacy widowed somebody? I’m not checking on my exes’ dating lives so any conclusion will have to be based on their interactions with me during or after the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 06:02 PM
1

I assure you plenty of women fine Matt Smith unappealing despite his status lol. Also the fine wine phrase usually refers to looks not “get rich and famous” lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 05:54 PM
1

He’s an actor and a celebrity so yeah he gets attention from women
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 05:46 PM
1

What does Stacy widowing look like?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 05:33 PM
1

The man looks like he’s in his mid 50s even though he’s not even 40. Not hating on the guy, I actually like him as an actor. But if you think that’s a well-preserved 39 year old we have very different standards lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 05:31 PM
5

MATT SMITH is your example of men aging well?!
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 05:10 PM
4

Nope. I’m a pretty kinky person but choking just isn’t my thing. Your friend is projecting or possibly doing what you just did, claiming that any women who don’t like choking just hasn’t discovered it yet 😂 Great reasoning that
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 04:58 PM
3

Probably meant to switch to the alt 🤣
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 04:44 PM
6

She’s projecting her desire onto other women that’s all lol. I like experimenting with new things and I’ve tried choking. I found it boring, uncomfortable, and not very sexy.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 04:37 PM
3

There’s a report function in case you weren’t aware
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/22 11:23 PM
2

You’re not lashing out at women? Ok buddy lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/22 11:14 PM
1

Some people have it rough when it comes to dating and lashing out for attention is a way some of them cope, I get it
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/22 11:12 PM
1

Most people aren’t that desperate
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/22 10:58 PM
2

You really really want attention from women, we get it
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/22 10:53 PM
1

The vast majority of men are getting laid and also manage to care about things other than getting laid
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/22 08:56 PM
1

Some men are catches, but not all obviously just like how not all women are catches
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/22 11:20 PM
1

What are the qualifications to be a top 20% man? Asking for a friend.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/22 11:07 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
