| – | Dear /r/MensRights, I am computer science major currently writing an essay for my philosophy final whether it is morally right to offer female only scholarships. Please post your best arguments for and against. There are a lot of comments about offering scholarships solely to women is sexist, but if that is the case, then is offering scholarships solely to black or Asian people racist? After all, they are not unsuccessful in the U.S. The way I see it, colleges like diversity, and scholarships are a way of rewarding people with unique backgrounds who can write a decent essay or break a stereotype. It is true there are many more women going to college now, but how many of them receive scholarships? Anyon… | /r/MensRights | 26/03/11 05:50 PM |
| – | A 79-year-old man can be prosecuted for allegedly raping his wife almost 50 years ago even though it wasn't a crime in 1963.I don't ever want to hear "Oppression of women is a myth!" again. | /r/MensRights | 20/01/11 02:17 AM |
| 3 | Male extremist feminists can be even more deluded than female ones...Right, and the only "proof" I see comes from articles on the Internet. Frequent they may be, they don't represent the "majority" of women at all. God forbid I defend my own gender from, based on my experiences, exaggerated and antagonistic claims. | /r/MensRights | 29/12/10 10:59 PM |
| 1 | Male extremist feminists can be even more deluded than female ones...Fair enough. I just thought you might be defending the quote from The Spearhead. | /r/MensRights | 29/12/10 01:30 AM |

| – | Male extremist feminists can be even more deluded than female ones...What's so deluded about this post? The post on The Spearhead is flat-out hateful and untrue, and it doesn't even make a case for men's rights. I know for a fact that it is not hard to find kind, fun, intelligent women if you open yourself up to people. So many women are unpleasant people? Women everywhere are burdens on society and completely retarded! Rage! No. How is it ethical to judge and condemn and entire group of people based on the actions of some individuals from that group? | /r/MensRights | 28/12/10 11:59 PM |
| 1 | Feminism and some views on the draft. They want rights first and obligatons only after women control everything.Yeah, I'm all for equal rights, but I believe there shouldn't be a draft in the first place. Government sending private citizens away to violently solve problems some politicians worked up among themselves? No. I don't want to do it, nor do I want my dad, boyfriend, or anyone else's loved one to do it against their will. | /r/MensRights | 02/12/10 01:31 AM |
| 1 | There's a lot wrong with this ad—see trigger warning, and of course the entire frame that suggests it's all hilarious because it's women doing it to a famous, powerful, privileged man.It was a joke, but maybe you're right and I don't have morals. I probably wouldn't boycott them even if it were a sexist ad against women. That chocolate is good stuff! | /r/MensRights | 29/11/10 03:53 PM |

| – | Guys, if you ever take your SO to the Emergency room, because she is in pain or sick, they will ALWAYS ask her this, once you are out of the room.I had no idea 5-year-old girls could be abusers. | /r/MensRights | 20/11/10 12:31 AM |
| 3 | Myth Of The Ghetto Alpha Male- I have made the same observations so many times. The tendencies aren't female. Anyone who grows up without discipline and without any good role models will act this way, but that doesn't make them "feminine." | /r/MensRights | 05/11/10 11:13 PM |
| 3 | Girl, 16, charged for sex with underage boys - The Local-both boys 13 at the time.I agree completely. My boyfriend was molested when he was 11 by a 16-year-old baby sitter. While he admits it was somewhat exciting since he was just starting to be interested in women, he still felt like it was wrong at the time and was very confused about it. He didn't tell anyone because he felt like he would be blamed (he grew up believing women didn't ever make sexual advances, and so the blame would be turned around on him for "initiating"). Today, he doesn't really feel like he was scarre… | /r/MensRights | 31/10/10 08:09 PM |
| 3 | How to Raise Boys Who ReadFurthermore, I also grew up with video games, and I still turned out fairly intelligent (I like to think) with various hobbies (like computers, languages, more advanced video games than what I had as a kid). I don't think the author has it right that video games will prevent a kid from enjoying reading. I think it's moreso parents who don't set limits, or get them a system when their five, six years old. Granted, my parents got me a Super Nintendo when I was six or seven, but they always made me… | /r/MensRights | 30/10/10 11:53 PM |
| – | How to Raise Boys Who ReadI'm insulted by the way this author talks about the "Goosebumps" books. None of them involve this gross-out humor that the author talks about. Coming from someone who devoured these rabidly as an elementary schooler, a kid could do far worse than read "Goosebumps." I don't see any real need to get a young kid reading "literature" anyway, so long as he likes reading something. Like I said, I loved "Goosebumps," but I graduated onto other things later on. Seriously, don't trash R.L Stine! | /r/MensRights | 30/10/10 11:05 PM |
| 1 | Girl Cyber Stalks BF, Finds out that guy was accused of rape and dumps him. Interesting esp. for how she speaks of social interactions.I can't stress enough how vital a simple google search can be. For about a year and a half I was in the habit of chatting with an 18-year-old online who seemed very intelligent, nerdy, and into the same stuff I was. Almost straight from the moment we started chatting, he openly gave me his real name, but it didn't occur to me to google him for a long time. After quite a long time of chatting and talking over the phone, I finally gave it a shot... and found out he was 27, engaged, and a fairly su… | /r/MensRights | 16/10/10 10:34 PM |
