So you've got a situation where 25% of the homeless getting shelter can and does prevent the other 75% from getting shelter even if beds are available. You've got it all backwards. It's not that shelter is provided for only 25% of the homeless population... it's BECAUSE there are homeless shelters for women that results in the majority of the homeless population being men

rich people get taxed at higher rates well in that case, considering the marginal utility of money, it's equitable because every person gets taxed to the same amount of "hurt". A person making $10mil a year being taxed $5mil isn't going to have his life changed much, but someone making $40k being taxed $20k will have their standard of living crippled

I move for the elderly, the handicapped, disabled, or a parent with a kid. I don't move for adult women or men. Because there's no guarantee that person won't give up the same seat for elderly, et al, if I do.
