Ok, I’m middle aged. What does drive-by mean these days? To me, it means shooting people from a car. That’s definitely a crime, so I assume the meaning somehow changed in the last few decades when I wasn’t paying attention. I still think body count refers to murder, btw. I have to wonder, is there any social significance to this change? Like, I’ve heard violent crime has dropped since the 1980s. And society has gotten more sexually conservative too. So maybe the concerns have flip-flopped? Or am…

I had to look her up. She’s an academic who has influenced public policy. She’s not exactly a household name though. I don’t find it surprising that many feminists don’t know who she is. She may be important, but more behind the scenes.

What does this have to do with the Democratic Party or leftists in general? Like, were prominent politicians or activists among the commenters?

Ok, I’m completely new to this sub. Last week I had no idea it existed. I know none of the backstory you might be hinting at here. Are you saying feminists on Reddit have attacked this sub? I’ve been on r/AskFeminists for a while now, and I don’t recall this sub being mentioned. Granted I don’t read every post & comment. I’m just saying I don’t know the story here. My question is, which groups or individuals do you believe are gatekeeping LWMA?

Who do you consider the gatekeepers of feminism?

Pretty clear op just wants a punching bag, given how he’s bitching about domestic violence laws. He needs to go to a sporting goods store and buy one. His anger issues are his problem, nobody else’s.

Are you assuming all Thai and Philippine people are poor? I actually know a Thai guy from an affluent family whose “uncles” took him to brothels.

I’ve already married and had a kid. I doubt I will ever want to marry again. I would date or consider a relationship with a single dad, depending on what he’s looking for. Companionship? Occasional help with child care? I could do that. But if he wants to re-marry, well I’m just not looking for that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
