It sounds like the best way to weed out people who care about you vs your looks

Why are you discounting the fact that those half put together looking women are secretly envying you and wishing to be you. They might even look upto you as inspiration. Don't just project your negative thoughts on them maybe look at it the other way as well

" I'd be a little wary of looking to others to find reasons to not date someone" What made you say this?

Yeah start out by building neutral relationships with the opposite sex in nonpressure situation like a dance studio or places where men hang out in a class of some sort. Have no expectations and just get a feel for how those men interact and are around each other and with you. Think of this more as a fun experiment than a pressured situation.

Lol a bit harsh but I can see why you interpret it like that. I wanted to say in this post there is more to me as a person than just the external we have to show to the world

I never intended to mean it as shallow. I was just stating how it's a strange skin we live in where our oustides matter a lot and we live so much on the inside. I love the fact that we have a body that we can adorn and it tells a story about who we are almost like a billboard of what we chose to represent and show about ourselves

Anger is a more acceptable emotional mask over something more deeper the person is facing like envy, greed or jealousy. Its a strange society we live in we have to conceal our emotion in more socially acceptable way by calling is something like anger other the actual source of the emotion we really experience.

You could start off by writing out the feelings that you notice arising within you you said "I really want him in my life". Now notice this thought and write it out everytime you have a thought about him. Question this and list out all your reasons, it could be 100s of reasons. Then read it to yourself and try to find alternate ways of thinking. If one of the reasons is you didn't get closure, ask why? answer it. Help bleed out all your emotions on a journal so you can observe them. What you cou…

I like this post. She's right time is on your side. Moping around for the wrong person or going no contact doesn't do anything if you aren't growing in the process.

lly relate to your not wanting to "waste" your education. All my life I've been "the smart one" and my family has just assumed I'll be able to have professional success and a great family life basically whenever I want. That's possible in our home country, where medical training takes half the time it does in the US--not so much here. So I'm finding it hard to consider the idea that being a doc might not be the best path for me, even if I am academically capable of it. Since you've been in med s…

Please don't go for medicine. Even if you have find option 1 the time to get there, mental pressure will break you down physically and mentally. The dating pool option also narrows down to me who are not secure to see your over earning, so you will be going after a much smaller pool of men older than 35 year assuming your in residency

male feminists are inherently dishonest men. They are filled with covert contracts and fake concern.) You haven’t talked about sexual attraction y I see what your saying but why would you say male feminist are dishonest men?How do I detect that? I have had sexual attraction for him years ago, but I have been quiet guarded with my approach to him now, I don't think there is anything lustful about him but I think he has a way with words on me and that charm works I find the fact that he fills my n…

It depend on your definition of what you want to do. You are exactly where you chose to be. Adding on activity to your everyday routine tom improve your fitness involves joining a group where you make a commitment by having a group or paying for a membership(dance, yoga, qi gong, ymca, pick anything you enjoy) where you are forced to go to take care of yourself , set aside time and be strict with yourself, tap into your femininity positive affirmation, self care tricks that you incorporate one b…

Age Gracefully This is more advice to work from the inside out. If your talking about just the physical I would say pay attention to what you put on your skin, lose weight be fit, watch your diet, drink plenty of fluids, take supplement that you lack in daily diet.

For someone who hears you talk till 5 am you guys are communicating and connecting on some level. I'm sure you feel guarded and he must also have skeletons in his closet for now its completely your choice on if you chose to be vulnerable or want to wait it out. Do you see this changing your relationship with him in any way?are you afraid of losing him?if so what makes you think that? What do you expect to accomplish by revealing things? I'm guessing you guys spoke so much already that you can ga…

quiet frankly its ok that it happened already now that he got a job be happy and for now let him do a little bit of gift giving. Don't feel guilty thats just how you expressed your love. If you feel all that guilty make him feel more masculine in the relationship in some other way, make him pay the bill if you guys go out, make him do some manly task and thank him for it.

This is such an interesting question, I am so torn while typing this out. So I'm 27 year old F and I spend the good part of my 20s in medical school and college and in clinicals I travelled from state to state all over US. So most of the time I was studying, working or stayed home with parents, not leaving much for dating life. While I did date it was with people in my med school time where I had people who said all about being egalitarian and as I age I feel resentful when I see my friends outs…

Hey I have been in your shoes and I am in my late 20s hearing similarly from my own SO. I also understand your struggle of no having an significant strong female role models in life who emulate such habits of carrying themselves in a very feminine way. I have started a journey of my own in understanding myself on changing this not necessarily due to a SO issue but as i went through college and daily life i felt like parts of my was being ripped aways specifically, my time for self care, at some …

So tbh most guys now a days has to play the social game due to the political climate we live in any wrong thing they say or say to women that they cannot have hobbies, need to be a housewife or take care of my kids or anything too traditional they say can get them in trouble. So cut them some slack a lot of guys are scared of being grilled by women for it, you really will only be able to tease out the diamond from the rocks with time and observation.

See recognizing your self worth and seeing through men who tells you how they see you but don't follow through doesn't mean your charms are backfiring it just means you have to "try again" the pain of trying it over and over again is a struggle. You seem like an intelligent and sensual women that understands respect and want to be treated the same way it's just going to take a of frog kissing before you meet the prince. When you say you want men to look past the fantasy if I may ask how do you m…

Then long distance must be a miserable experience for you. If your expression of love is physical and his is also physical then its a hard way to communicate. Look at an image search for the book 5 languages of love there will be a table you can find to see different forms of love languages. Find out what is his by communicating by asking? There must be some thread what is keeping your relationship going. find out what it is by asking him he is the best source.

I am in a similar situation.I understand your dilemma. I have been on plenty of dates and didn't really click with much people and found someone I knew from high school years later we talked and texted and clicked but I wouldn't rush things in fact after having this person in front of me spend some time to get to know him when he not LD so to know if we really have similar values and what he says matches what he does. Likewise he will be looking for the same in you. I had difficulty finding like…

I would suggest reading sacred success. I personally completed this book today and loved it, learned a lot about being in my feminine essence to put my best foot forward. A lot of enlightening pearls were found there a really good read.

He is recipocating. As a women sometimes it's ok to get that kind of reciprocation of care. If I were you I wouldn't purposely sabotage myself or my paycheck just to make someone happy, Remember you can't make anyone happy unless you are happy. Just be feminine enough to graciously receive this help and support you are getting at this point in your life
