"This is abuse. Stop yourself" is a fallacy, surely? Abusers either know they are abusing and are happy to continue to, or they see absolutely nothing wrong with their behaviour. Some would think they are just ousting men as an abusive gender. Shocking.

I dislike when articles try to make social issues as black and white as possible like this. It's interesting and important info but to analyse questionnaires and not take any other factor into account is really irresponsible of the writer.

When calling someone a dick, do they think "they are comparing me to a penis" or do they think "they're using a vulgar term"? Genuinely curious here. In Ireland, the word dick is just thrown around with little to no angry connotations whereas vaginas sort of only has one meaning, and to boil down everything about a person to a vagina is notably heavier than an everyday term (that's also a name, and entire etymology is based around the name)

Downvoted or whatever, but the general attitude seems to be quite dismissive and under the idea that to split up the movement is to weaken it. I still think this movement is quite young so if it were ever to build proper traction I think sub-groups would become more prominent but at the moment it's considerably more focused on the male population as a whole

It's us feminists disliking Dove, not the other way around. It's the entire thing with the "Real Beauty" campaign and how they basically retouched and edited all the "real" women in the ads. Also Dove is owned by Unilever, who also own Veet who try to set standards of "beauty" like an iron fence (eg, that advert where sleeping with a woman with hairy legs is as bad as waking up beside a man).

Well it's fine that you care, I'm just saying that the source of the problem is a male-dominated society and can be fixed with the mutual interest of MRAs and Feminists in this particular example and is not exclusive to Men's Rights. And I just find it super hard to believe in a religion where a man is allowed to do whatever he wants with his wife with no repercussions (in Islamic countries, at least) that women would not be victims of forced, unwanted sex and sexual assaults. Also statistics.

This is kind of a different situation, in fairness. Pakistan is majorly Muslim country so, even though I know MRAs here don't believe in the Patriarchy, Patriarchy is pretty much the foundation of their beliefs. So men are seen as "men" and women "women" such that if a boy is sexually abused he doesn't bring attention to it because he should just "be a man," you know?
