Well I did still have three hickeys from a few nights before, so that might be possible...

I can't really offer advice, cause I'm in the same jam you are, but PM me if you need to talk.

Ah, I misread your first comment. Thanks

I... know? I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you're trying to say. A man with many plates wouldn't care if a few fell? Cause I already know that.

I didn't know Alice thought I fancied her until a day or two before this post. How could I have? The situation was so illogical it never entered my head as a possibility. She never crossed my mind, how could I have known I crossed hers?

Now i like what you did to start this whole shitstorm off by taking alice's hand instead of some stupid arm lock bullshit. Alpha. I'd hardly call that alpha. It was the most innocent thing, I literally only held her hand cause it's easier to skip that way

Um, no offense, I appreciate the anecdote, but how is this story relevant to the post? It seems like two completely different kinds of story

This was a lesson that took me far, far too long to learn... I mean, I always knew, but it wasn't until like this happened that I really understood

Just to clarify, he doesn't work for them, he works with them. He's not a counselor or a professional, he's just volunteered with them before. I'm not even sure he still works with them. Doesn't change the fact that he should've known better, but I just wanted to clarify

Yeah, that's what I mean. I was insecure and it caused me to blame myself for things they did, thinking I caused this situation. It's not my fault this situation happened, but it is my fault for not dealing with it as well as I could have.

Ah, the soft next. Simple, yet effective.

insecurity Nailed it. Until I found out the real reason, I blamed myself for this. I saw being nicer as a way to improve on negative characteristics I couldn't see in myself, but eventually realized that no, this actually isn't my fault. And when you say "my intentions", what do you mean?(I assume this is the unnamed girl we're talking about)

Oh, I'm not wasting too much time on this. I'm giving them all one conversation each and they become difficult? Next. But I just can't shake the feeling the feeling that there's one more layer I haven't dug through yet

Aye, that's the plan. But not until I pull the full truth out of them. There's too many missing pieces in this puzzle

What does it mean when OP's name disappears from under the post title, but it's still there in his comments?

I second this. It's a bad idea giving out personal details online in general, but there are a lot of not very nice people on Reddit that don't like TheRedPill. Just be careful giving out details like that.

I just have one question. The numbered chips, what exactly do they represent? The woman's SMV? Or is it the effort she puts into the guy?

If you only discovered this sub tonight, you still have a lot of reading to do and things to learn. But I hope things turn out for the better, for both of us!

I hear about expensive medication a lot, but where I'm from, when you're prescribed medication by a doctor it's actually very cheap. I hear that America has problems with expensive healthcare though.

I just see "stop being fucking depressed" as a way of saying "don't just sit there feeling bad about yourself, do something!" (which I feel is only realistic after the person begins getting professional help and possibly taking antidepressants). I've been getting professional help since the problems started becoming serious several months ago. Thankfully, my college offers free counselling and since I'm not in America, the antidepressants I've been prescribed are really cheap (I hear horror stor…

Ah, I'll make sure to use the separate Ask TRP subreddit if I ever post something like this again. Guess I'm just not used to being an active redditor. My realization that I can't lean on people was one of the things that pushed me to self improvement. I've been helping friends with depression for a long time, which was both a blessing and a curse (some accepted the help, others... didn't). Eventually I had to learn to deal with the circumstances I genuinely couldn't change, but I'm doing whatev…

Just to clarify, when I said circumstances, I didn't mean lack of motivation. I meant actual circumstances. I feel for you btw, I have a younger brother too, and taking care of him is one of the most important things to me. I can't imagine what life would be like without him.

I'm know exactly what you mean, I had to ask myself that question too. Once I told myself to stop whining and began focusing on self improvement, I started feeling so much better! I just wanted to hear other people talk about their experiences unplugging and making themselves into better men.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
