Don’t overthink it. One thing to remember is that she’ll probably be feeling nervous too. What helped me is if you ask a girl out and she says no, don’t view it as a failure instead view it as the norm. I expect girls to turn down my offer, the ones that don’t are an exception to the norm. I don’t know if this view would help you but for me it’s better than looking at it as success versus failure.

I too was referred the shitty website, have not used it. I Generally feel better though I still have off days. You have to be doing stuff, need to catch up on uni work? Do that. If you don’t want to go to the gym at least do some exercises in the gaff. Just anything productive to keep your mind occupied and less focused on depressing thoughts.
