This is actually important. There is kind of a "ha ha men are men and men snore" attitude. Snoring is bad. It's oxygen deprivation when you sleep. You wake up several times in the night but don't remember. This causes a person to feel tired from lack of restful sleep. More seriously, after a decade or two or three, snoring can cause cumulative, irreparable damage to heart muscle causing heart attacks in 50's, 60's. Weight is a factor, but so is the structure of soft tissue in the neck/throat. It…

MS does ok in the internet space. IIS with ASP.NET isn't quite dominant, but it certainly is popular. The "new" Microsoft under Nadella is doing a lot better. Azure seems to be doing quite well and it espouses platform independence. The Surface line of laptop/tablet are remarkable devices and sales are doing well. MS has the best dev tools available. Their recent purchases of Xamarin and Unity shows they are thinking multiplatform. Also, I'd argue that MS is well positioned for the next-gen of A…

Well, he kept the company profitable, but he was a money guy NOT an innovator. He couldn't seem to innovate on the tech side. He either torpedoed innovative stuff from within (cough cough courier cough) or he made fun of and dismissed innovation when he saw it (iPhone). He royally fucked up on that iPhone thing. At the time iPhone was released, Windows Mobile 6.5 was fairly dominant in the 'smart phone' space and available on all carriers. Out of the box the UI/UX fucking sucked in a typical "de…

That has been my experience. And when I started my professional career I was the most non-biased employee ever. I'm still am non-biased, but my experience speaks for itself.

I can't have a woman boss that acts like an idiot even before I join the company. You dodged a huge bullet there. All of the absolute worst managers I've ever had have been women.

I've got to chime in here too - some of the absolute worst managers I have ever worked with have been women. It was as if they "had to prove themselves" and "show everyone who's in charge" and they did so by micromanaging the shit out of stuff that the people who worked for them should have been assigned to handle automatically. Then when things inevitably fucked up, the female managers became petty, emotional and vindictive. One manager I had was originally hired at an organization because "she…

You might want to seek help; suicide hotline, group therapy (Buddhist ones seem to be my favorite), something. Find some kindred spirits in a support group first. There is no shame in this. Everyone has crisis moments, and they pass with time. I've been mired in dark pits of loneliness - it does suck horribly... but it doesn't last forever. There's ways out. Find some kindred spirits in a support group first to get stable; THEN reconcile TRP, loneliness, etc. Hang in there.

See, this was an excellent post. So many people (mostly women but even some men) think TheRedPill is nothing more than complete moronic sexism. This post is just good advice for pretty much everyone.

Don't talk about you? Talk about stupid shit like the weather or TV shows like Parks & Rec, etc. Still though, talking too much can backfire and hurt you. Maybe try putting yourself in a different frame of mind. Maybe put in a conscious effort to not act like 'you' and instead act like a male character you're familiar with (Coach Ditka, Captain Kirk, The Rock... Someone who doesn't talk much.)

You bring up some good points, but, no, its unlikely I personally would get blindsided by something like this. I'm a web dev with years and years and years of experience. I'm pretty sure I can cover my tracks online if I want to.

Yeah. I don't care if the data gets spilled, my personal info is not on it. Why? One of two reasons: 1) I never signed up on it, or 2) I signed up on it and didn't use my real name because I'm not a total dumb fuck. Although now that I write this, I'm thinking "What's to stop the 'hacktivists' from adding names to the list of people they want to fuck with?"

Ayn Rand frequently wrote about the same concept. I find it amusing that the current tax code in the US is nearly 75,000 pages long. If printed, it would stack about 23 feet tall. Its unreadable too. Its mostly written in legalese gibberish that is difficult to make sense of.

Interesting. The stuff I'm talking about is the typical "I'm here to deliver your pizza, hey let's fuck." kind of porn, except two or more chicks.

Although something curious I've noticed: Many of the girls I know who do like porn, like (sometimes even prefer) girl-on-girl porn. And I'm referring to straight girls who exclusively date guys, not bi or lesbian girls. I don't have any statistics on this, and my statement is completely anecdotal. I just wonder how this plays into OP's post (which is actually really good and thoughtful. I'm certain there is significant truth to it.) So... Girls who like girl-on-girl porn... Is it a preference th…

Well there you have it. You showered FantasyGirl with poems, and showed zero affection towards FantasygirlsFriend. FantasyGirl poo pooed your attention, but told FantasygirlsFriend all about it - probably to make herself feel awesome. "Guys love me? See?" FantasygirlsFriend is jealous. Why isn't she the one you show attention to? What's wrong with me? I'll bet I can win UnclePuma and make FantasyGirl jealous. So it probably went one of two ways: FantasygirlsFriend hooked up with you, demonstrate…

I find reddit to be more than simply entertainment. There is a certain educational value to it as well. As an example, /r/TheRedPill has been very enlightening. Of course, everyone should take everything they read with a grain of salt.

eh... 4chan itself might be dead (or dying)... But you can't kill the human spirit that is responsible for those types of posts... 4chan will resurrect someplace else as something else... This has all happened before, and it will all happen again.

Didn't they turn down a generous donation from an adult website?

I don't think that's sufficient. I'd expect a few officers, one with gun drawn, the others with batons, mace, and tazers. That'll teach 'em!!! (that was all sarcasm).

Eh, it wasn't that much work. I knew the guy for a couple of years (all of which he was a pussy whipped bitch). I was sick of watching it I guess. I got to know kinda hot girl from work. It didn't take too much to put 'em together.

the best way to dispose of that situation is to help him become an alpha and find his own way into getting laid. He will dissipate naturally out of her life and give you a good reputation, further cementing you as an alpha. I did this once and pretty much everything you described happened. Its a long, complicated situation, but this dude I know was totally pussy whipped on this girl who had no intentions of ever really dating/fucking him. She 'loved him as a friend' but found him 'gross' sexuall…

Women have to be shown things. Yes. I've found this to be true. Strangely, words don't seem to be as effective.

I've been to bachelor parties on the whole spectrum. Some have been total lameo siting around playing cards drinking Bud Lite. Some have been filled with party busses, topless waitresses on the bus, dominatrixes, strippers, hookers fucking each other in some full on lesbian sex show and then later 'accepting clients'. Both end so the spectrum have their merits. :D Edit: Sorry OP, but I've never been to a bachelor party where the dudes wear sashes and do all that other stuff you described. I gues…

Honest Answer: The idea that a girl/woman thinks its acceptable to 'friend zone' a guy is disgusting to a lot of people. I've seen situations where the girl is stringing along some poor guy, teasing him with some prize that he hopes to get but never will. I can certainly understand someone's disdain for the woman playing games with another person's emotional well-being. I can relate to someone feeling a tad disgusted/sad with the man for not seeing the trap he is in, and/or not having the balls …

I frequently make references to concepts from fiction, and how those concepts reinforce a point about real life. Sometime these references are dismissed out of hand, but really the author's idea was influenced from someplace. George R. R. Martin for example was influenced by history and society and other authors who were also influenced by history and society. So yes, on one hand Dothraki warriors do not really exist; but on the other hand, they were not created in a vacuum. Dothraki warriors we…
