3	Teen accused college football players of rape. They lost their scholarships and were expelled. Now the "victim" admits she made it all up. As a society we should absolutely be more responsible and not jump to conclusions. 11	Student accused of false rape allegations claims mental illness Because as terrible as it is to be a rapist, it takes a certain degree of disdain for another persons life to falsely accuse someone. In addition, a person who falsely accuses someone is really screwing over real rape by stopping them from being taken seriously. I'm not saying rapists are not shitty people. They are some of the absolute worst, but to falsely accuse someone is to ruin that person's credibility at best, and their entire lives at worst, for a crime they didn't commit. 22	Student accused of false rape allegations claims mental illness I think I would rather be falsely accused than actually be raped... that said, I think it takes a shittier person to falsely accuse someone of rape than it does to be a rapist.
