1	Essentially a kid asking: what is an ideal salary? Work life balance vs salary. Just gonna throw this out there... I had no free time making 50-60k. As in: wake, work, dinner, bed. That was 6 days a week, and I was basically mowing and sleeping on the 7th day. If you have a six figure option, I promise you won’t have to work nearly as much as you think. 4	"Reversed" Salary Discrimination? Not to be a douche, but I’m going to tell you the same thing I tell women who say they’re paid less due to gender: 1) Research and learn about negotiation tactics 2) Take a business management course (some are free online) 3) If your employer is discriminating, they will continue to do so. Basically, get another job, make sure you start off with proper negotiation tactics, and stick to them. Nowhere will voluntarily pay you more. 1	Any software engineers here? Need advice. Welp... to date myself here, lemme tell ya that in 10 years you’ll kick your own ass if you live somewhere expensive now. It makes your life miserable and wastes tons of money. Take a cheap route, and focus on the end goal. FWIW, college is mostly a waste of money, but it teaches you business and economics basics that are good to know. Regardless, spend less, have more fun, and learn all you can. Read reviews, watch vids, etc. to figure out the best path. Everyone has a different opinion. Next, build a list of YouTube tutorials, online info, and pick a decent used textbook or ebook. Download the required software per YouTube tutorials. Follow along with vids, pausing if needed to research anything you don’t understand.
