Money and status just get you to the front of the line. It doesn’t guarantee you any attraction from anyone. There are those that are fine with transactional relationships however, it depends what each person is looking for. To each their own.

But women are exciting and magical, that’s why men keep chasing them.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 02:21 AM

What were they about then?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 09:22 AM

Right? Negative criticism would go along way to “improve” ourselves if is constructive and honest.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 01:30 PM

I would never cheat even if I had the options. I’d forgo any relationship if I wanted to “cheat” in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 12:01 AM

Fitphobic, that’s a new one. I kind of like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/26 09:06 PM

You get this across the board. If someone expresses a disinterest in something, they’re told it’s phobic. Fat phobic, trans phobic, homo phobic, etc. the best we can do is to try not to lump legit hate in with preference. It’s our choice whether or not we listen to the nonsense phobic claims on everything.

If a shack-up produces a shacklett, it’s only fitting that I would step up and take care of them. It’s probably the only way I’d ever have kids.

Not wanting to lower one’s standards is fine, but expecting more from your partner due to bitterness and resentment is where problems start. That is if you do indeed ‘lower standards.’
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/26 05:50 PM

Might just end up seeing more violence from frustration and desperation too. Who knows. Like any other cornered beast, men becoming obsolete won’t go down without a fight. We’ll get through it.

I’m 36 now, but came to this conclusion around 32/33.

Some of us are subpar and don’t have the best track record while talking with women. Creepy, weird, whatever you want to call it. For me personally I got to an age where nobody seemed interested in dating with any real purpose. Everything has a low ceiling with no room to grow a real relationship out of admiration, love and respect, just convenience.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 11:50 PM

Even though that’s my only hope, I still say it’s a terrible idea. You’d have to be extremely tolerant and accepting of everything. Odds are your partner would have more irks than quirks.

I hope I lose my virginity just so I can laugh at the terrible experience and the reaction of the seasoned companion I’m with whom can’t figure out why I’m so bad at it. Virginity is something to be amused by at the very least, but yeah, it’s not something any of us poor saps advertise to the general public.

Sometimes I wonder if these types of people are in love with the idea of a ‘relationship’ instead of the actual person.

It sounds like a major facepalm to me if a guy is comparing their ex to a current partner. Why do they think this is okay, it’s weird.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/25 11:53 PM

If I got attention from someone pretty, I’d at the very least be skeptical. The attention would become unwanted as soon as I found the intentions all just to poke fun of me.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/25 02:24 AM

Yes. It wouldn’t be ideal, but at least then we could focus on an actual relationship omitting a sex life neither of us would enjoy.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/25 02:46 PM

This is outrageously crazy!

People tend to say one thing and do another, it’s nothing new. Maybe they think a man in connection with his emotional side is attractive at first, but after they see it, they develop that dreaded “ick” thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/25 10:39 PM

Good sentiment, but he’s probably terrible at sex and most likely flirting too if he’s a virgin. The poor guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/25 07:49 PM

That’s right. I think a little bit of chase is beneficial. Nothing should be too easy.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/25 01:10 AM

Not always. I guess it depends on how far you’re “chasing”. I’m sort of envisioning the chase but never catching up.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/25 10:28 AM

True. But then he can be the simp. Eventually that guy will figure things out too.

Correct, there’s no reason to “fix” the apps because they’re not broken. They draw money with ease. The fact that people insist on using them versus meeting organically in person is the problem. But let’s face it, society is broken, and I’m quite sure nobody will attempt to fix that either.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/25 03:44 AM

This hits the nail on the head. I’m at a point where dating feels next to impossible. With no experiences, everyone just assumes you’re weird or creepy and there must be something wrong with you. Truth be told, I can understand the perspective. Who wants to dedicate their time and energy to someone who doesn’t know have the knowledge of a relationship. Teaching a 30+ year old how to date, have sex and other activities doesn’t strike me as fun. It does get old when the only responses to said prob…

Normally I hate being arbitrarily politically correct, but “unfortunate looking” definitely makes light of the situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 12:09 PM

I don’t think anyone realistically expects men to just flip a switch and be gay. It’s more or less that they just don’t care that many guys struggle since they don’t have the problem themselves. They’re content to have more options for themselves and don’t really know what else to tell you. It’s just another arbitrary response they give, while casting the blame on said struggling guy, all while they go out and practice faux serial monogamy.

We establish our own standards just to justify the work of a relationship being worth it. I’d like to think my standards are fairly acceptable, but given my success, I guess not. Someone who has a handful of similar interests as myself and a few more that they can do for themselves that don’t include me. Someone who’s not huge and has no kids. Someone who doesn’t judge or hate base on political preferences. Someone who is more simple and doesn’t require a lot of money to please.

Good ol competition. You’re absolutely right, everything is a competition as it should be. It just sucks being the team that finishes last in the league all the time. Showing up for participation points doesn’t get one very far.

The only options I ever got were drunk women showing up flirting, showing interest, then their angry boyfriends would show up wanting to fight.

It was hypothetical. Many women don’t want to deal with men in this age. Their social life is satisfied with friends at work and after work and then with a pet when they live at home, alone. That doesn’t shirk their interest in sex all together. When the feeling hits, they simply hop on Tinder, figure out which product they want, order it to go, and that’s it. I was being pessimistic with that low conservative estimate of 2-3 times, but the same criticism applies. It’s similar to those stuck in …
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/24 04:43 PM
1

It could be. Hypothetically speaking, if her libido only spikes 2-3 times per year and she’s not in a committed relationship, then it’s about being in the right place at the right time. It helps if you’re Chad because she’s not just going to give it away to a meh individual. If she’s only making a potential partner wait until date 3, that still sounds kind of quick. So we shouldn’t complain, there’s still hope!
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/24 03:44 PM

That’s true, but how many people don’t care about looks? I know they exist, they’re just marginally rare.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/24 01:17 AM

Attractive people utilize their looks for leverage in most aspects. It seems average or sub par looking people preach the idea of prioritizing personalities. Let’s be serious though, both are important.

Whoever came up with NoFap could probably be smacked upside the head once or twice. The reality is that nobody is going to have any form of relations with most guys up on here, myself included. And if nobody does things with me, I’ve got to do it myself. So all hands on deck people, get back to work.

You can try, try and try again, until you can’t try any longer. And if that doesn’t work, you’ve just wasted all that time trying to do something you just couldn’t do. People will reserve the right to complain if they always draw the short straw.

There is merit to the ideology that you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. But unfortunately, most people (men in this case) only have so much energy to put forth “effort” and have it all be in vain. From a guys perspective, if you have to try that hard, it usually means the lady isn’t too interested.

If your friend is ridiculous enough to put up with that nonsense from her, then he’s got no reason to be with her. It’s therefore his own fault for being in this situation. The biggest point of interest here is, what exactly does he do to make $400k? I’d rather make that kind of cash and leave women in the rear view, no looking back.

The spark can fade. Infatuation often turns to disillusionment. Looks certainly change, so that can affect the libido for either party too. Dead bedrooms are a terrible thing.

Well there’s me, I don’t really know why I’m not good enough for women. But my best friend, he’s a different story. He’s a straight up simp. He spent so much time fawning over this girl, whom was pursuing a different guy all together. I’m not sure how many kids she has now, but he’s gotten himself a court mandate to pay child support for 4 of them, and none of the kids are his. Most of the posts around this sub are about the same thing, it is a little tiring, but it’s easy to explain. Most of us have two options: keep trying to earn the attention of a girl we like and ultimately fail, or, give up and don’t talk to women ever again. Option 2 is what the women subject to these posts would prefer, but that would be admitting failure on the part of said guys. Giving up is a bad choice. Repeated failure with option 1 on the other hand just adds fuel to the fire for many of …

Let’s assume the original argument of men not caring about women for reasons other than sex to be complete nonsense. In case anyone is wondering, it is nonsense. It still doesn’t matter if incels “suffer” and you still don’t have to give them a chance. Nobody likes incels in the first place. But don’t generalize all men, everyone is different.

Always being turned down for dates with consistent fibs or lapses in logic. For example, I’m always described as super nice, dependable and loyal, funny, a good catch and not bad looking. None of these features are insulting, in fact they can be supplemental in a relationship. But they’re not good enough to be significant or get you started.

Ironically, most feminists don’t actually have balls, as it were. It would be interesting to see media and woke culture reaction if feminists were to attack Islam. Race is a tool of the media, “weapons of mass distraction” as I like to call them. Most people get a rise out of ridonkulous things. Realistically speaking though, the vast majority of Americans probably aren’t too concerned about issues like race in dating, at least not as it is made out to be.

Probably. I have a lot of things I’m looking for in a relationship personally. Realistically however, I don’t suspect most of those boxes will be checked. Don’t consider it “settling” if you can find just a couple of things about someone you adore. The rest, can be worked out.
