I dunno about this one. Sure it was an overreaction, but Linkedin is used for professional reasons and that guy should have known better.

Because taking someone's hand and guiding it to your smoldering crotch whilst in public is actually pretty indecent imo.

Totalitarianism? Really? I agree that we should fight false rape accusations etc but lets not get crazy here with the namecalling...

Right, but people go through life encountering a wide variety of experiences, a lot of them bad. Not letting these bad past experiences bring you down is good general life advice not even exclusive to the RP. Everyone who has access to the internet has no doubt heard this phrase in some form. It is condescending to assume that there is someone on this board stupid enough to miscontrue "deleting the past" as "never learn from the past." Godamn look at all this advice about what you should/shouldn't do and how you gotta always be on your guard 24/7 against shit tests and this and that. Relationships with women are such a pain in the fucking ass.

You said that it was stupid that his father recieved a scholarship and called him "not valuable." Your words. You're an idiot if you don't understand how someone might take that as an insult. Everyone agrees that you were in the wrong, dude. You have no argument to stand on. You've lost. Use this experience to better yourself and move on with your life. I'm done arguing with you.

I didn't say you were incorrect in your opinion, the market value of a degree is definitely something worth thinking about. However if you want people to take you seriously and not get defensive you have to approach the subject with a lot more tact than you currently are. Straight out insulting someone's father is not an effective way to carry out a meaningful conversation.

It doesn't really seem as if you're really looking for an actual answer, just someone who will validate your childish attitude. You were in the wrong socially, regardless of whether or not your opinions were factually correct.
