DEI doesn't exist to give unqualified non-white non-male applicants the job over a qualified white male applicant, it exists to prevent organizations from hiring unqualified white male applicants over qualified non-white non-male applicants.

DEI practices are meant to ensure that opportunities are provided based on merit, instead of based on discriminatory factors like race, gender, disability, etc. DEI doesn't exist to give unqualified non-white non-male applicants the job over a qualified white male applicant, it exists to prevent organizations from hiring unqualified white male applicants over qualified non-white non-male applicants. There are studies where identical resumes are submitted for a job application, and the one with a…

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices exist to try to ensure opportunities are provided based on merit instead of on discriminatory factors like gender, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, etc. One way I've heard it described: DEI doesn't exist to give unqualified non-white non-male applicants the job over a qualified white male applicant, it exists to prevent organizations from hiring unqualified white male applicants over qualified non-white non-male applicants. We benefit by livin…

You are stupid. DEI doesn't exist to give unqualified non-white non-male applicants the job over a qualified white male applicant, it exists to prevent organizations from hiring unqualified white male applicants over qualified non-white non-male applicants. We all benefit from this.

The ways in which men and women both suffer are different. We can and ought to fix both. There are some delusional people out there who see victimization where none exists. However, this is a loud minority. You only hear about them more often because they are uncommon, rage-inducing, and drive clicks. The overwhelming majority of feminists are going to be decent people, just as the overwhelming majority of men's rights advocates are going to be decent people.

That is a false equivalence made in bad faith.

Okay. Fair. I assumed the worst based on the rest of the comment section, and I was mistaken. My mistake. I apologize.

Being a feminist ≠ hating men. Just like how advocating for men's rights doesn't mean you hate women, and doesn't mean you want to take women's rights away.

That's not most women. That's not most feminists. That's a small subset of psychotic women.

What the hell is this comment section?? Just because one side is suffering does not mean the other side isn't suffering. We are both suffering in different ways, and we should strive to work together and help each other.

Of course! Just because one side is suffering does not mean the other side isn't suffering. We are both suffering in different ways, and we should strive to work together and help each other.

I don't understand how I'm supposed to interpret this

First thing I notice: hair and face. But if you want to get the guy, just make a move. Make an excuse to spend time with him, like studying together or something. This is a lot easier if you have mutual friends. Make him laugh a couple times, then ask him out on a date. If he's single, he'll probably take you up.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
