Most men who fail aren't putting effort into their dating lives outside of dating apps. They throw up a quickly made profile, swipe between Call of Duty matches and the complain they are putting in effort with no results. Most of the complaints come from dating apps. These men would do best if they went outside more assuming they are in somewhat decent shape and can dress themselves.

I am 39. I've dated down 12 years. Beyond that I have not gotten much attention other then an occasional girl that wants an older guy to hook up with. I'm not too interested in early 20s though since there are too many differences. A lot of red pill content is made to make men feel angry and sell them a bunch of fake lies to make them feel better. That 45 year old balding guy isn't going to "spin plates" with a roster of 5 21 year olds.

I make an above average salary. I also live in what I would consider an average house, drive an average car, etc. I could live flashier, but it is not something I value. I did not come from a fancy household growing up. I did have good people around me at all times though. That's what I look for now. Most of my money gets saved or invested. It's nice to have, but I value people more. Most people today only dream of owning a home, have tons of debt and/or are living at home much later in life. A …

Plenty of people in the real world dating and in relationships. How many of them used a dating coach? Next to none most likely. I don't think dating coaches are really all that popular. Most people learn how to date on their own after a little trial and error. Most of it comes down to finding someone you really connect with, which can take a variable amount of time due to timing and a bit of luck. Coaching won't really help that. Especially if using some idiot from the internet.

Red pill usually says womens beauty typically peaks by 25 and then declines from there. I don't think there are any statements about how fast it declines. That doesn't mean "no value". If somoene's looks are at 100% they could be at 98% at 26 (or whatever). I don't think it ever states specifically not to date somoene over 25. That would sound a bit crazy to me.

Every woman I know says they would rather meet someone naturally/in person rather than swiping on some lame app. “Dating apps are the only way” is a cope for men who are afraid to get out of their shell and meet women in real life. They want to swipe on an app and tell themselves they are putting tons of effort into their dating lives. It’s really the opposite where they are putting in next to no effort. Low effort will yield low outcomes. Men like the OP have convinced themselves apps are the o…

I am very much against dating single moms. It is not something I want to deal with. I don't talk against dating single dads since I do not date dudes. But I think most of the same reasons for not dating a single mom would also apply for women not wanting to date a single dad.

lol...I am probably older then you. I only talk about lived experiences. Your post says nothing about the quality of singles in the dating pool after 30.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 01:12 PM

It is common sense. Decent, family oriented people will get snapped up by 30 or a little after that at the latest. A lot of the people left will be unserious, have too much baggage, unsure what they are looking for or have various other issues. As I’ve gotten older I’ve had more options than I have had in the past as a man. The quality of the dating pool diminishes as you get older though.

Yes. 30s you are sifting through leftovers trying to find the few decent people out there.

I went out with a girl who on the third date revealed she had $200k in debt and made life choices by tarot card. She had a fortune teller lady she saw for more major life choices. How am I suposed to take that shit seriously? It's all made up garbage not based on reality and a major red flag. If someone likes astrology but doesn't take it too seriously and can have a sense of humor about it that doesn't bother me. But people into it always take it as reality. I don't care about Taylor Swift. The…

Most of the people complaining are probably below average and won’t admit it. Social skills are probably the most important thing to have. Most guys are probably lacking there. A lot of guys on Reddit also count creating a dating app profile and swiping as maximum dating “effort”. Then instead of putting in any real work they will endlessly quote manipulated statistics to feel bad and act like the world is against them. As a guy that went from no dates at one point to regular dates it takes effo…

Reminds me of a date I went on earlier in the year. The date was going really well and I was walking her to her car after. She asked me where I was parked and I said "over there" pointing . She then asked me which car was mine and I said I was around the corner so she couldn't see it from there. She paused for a few seconds then in a really blunt tone said "well, what do you drive". I drive a Honda Civic. I'm not a car person and it's a reliable car for me. I work from home so I don't need anyth…

I’ve dated plenty of women from various age ranges that are not like that. Not every woman is hooking up with a different man every week. Vet women better and avoid those types. Dating is largely sifting through a lot of people you are not compatible with to find those you are compatible with. Who is the “we” in the “we are telling” statement you made. You seem to look through everything from a hive mind perspective.

Yep, you can spot the chronically online people who spend all their time watching content easily. They will quote statistics all day as validation for their own failures and use phrases like "beta bux". As a man I've always looked at any problems or low points in life I have hit and said to myself "what steps can I take to change this" to reach whatever goal I have wanted to reach. Lots of guys today would rather act like everything is completely out of their control and quote statistics from ra…

Enjoy living life by random percentages and always being an imaginary victim. We can sit there and argue over which study had which percentage. The bottom line is the majority of people do not meet on dating apps so there are other options. You don’t have to play in an 80/20 rule environment if you don’t want to.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:05 AM
11

“Online” is a broad term. It can mean a lot of things such as dating apps, Meetups, Facebook groups, Instagram, etc. It is a large pool of different things. The 80/20 rule was created based off swipe dating from Tinder, as mentioned in my original post. I haven’t seen a study that had online around 50%. Probably shows you how useless most of these studies and statistics are in reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 03:54 AM

It leads to dates within the online dating environment. Some of those lead to sex. Some don’t. The overall point is you can’t base the overall reality on one smaller environment that is hostile for men by design.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 03:43 AM

The data the 80/20 rule was created from is based off left and right swipes. The app data cannot be used to tell who slept with who.

Dating apps account for 11% of relationships per Pew Research. So the other 89% are meeting elsewhere. Since 89% of people are not meeting on dating apps that means dating apps are not the only place to meet people. That's my overall point. Stop meeting people on the internet and acting like that is reality.

With a name like "uselessloner" I wonder what types of men you are surrounding yourself with. Women tend to date a little older. Since you like statistics I believe the age gap between men and women is 3 years on average. If a woman is 28 and dating a 30 year old man then your "under 30" statistic has a woman in a relationship and a man not in a relationship. But realistically there is not really any real world difference between that and a 26 year old woman dating a 28 year old man other then o…

Go to any large public place. You will see tons of couples paired up. Usually they are around the same level of attractiveness. Most of the guys are not chads. The stat being also taken from OKC doesn't matter. That's another online dating platform. All online dating statistics are going to be far swayed from reality due to those environments consisting of mostly men. In real life there is a 50/50 split of men and women. On dating apps there are going to be a majority men. Then it gets even wors…

It is a true stat from the place it was taken from .... Tinder. A lot of men take online dating stats and apply them to everything. Online dating is 80% men to begin with, so it is not an even market to draw comparisons to the real world with. The people that constantly use these stats are typically the terminally online people that spend all their time watching content rather then going outside and interacting with people.

A lot of replies in this thread say women shouldn’t have to go 50/50 because they are expected to cook, take care of the house, etc. obviously these people have not dated women in the current environment. I am a very average cook and have yet to come across a woman that can cook better than me so I end up doing most of the cooking. Women today are not being raised with these skills like they used to be. They are being raised the same way men are to go after career. A lot of these skills have als…

A sex worker will still have more options then the average man. They may not like all those options because the majority of decent men are going to be turned off by sex work, but it is not impossible for them to find a relationship. Might just take some extra time and effort. The whole “OF girls will never ever meet anyone” isn’t true today.

Yep. As someone finding himself single again in his late 30s I agree with this. I'd really like to meet someone great, get to know them and fall in love again. But the dating world today mostly feels like people trying to determine as quickly as possible what resources I have or what material/status gain they would have if they were with me. If I put in a lot of effort planning creative and romantic dates I will get almost no effort back from most women today. Everyone goes into dating today thi…

Men and women can both make bad choices. Most of the threads on this subreddit can be answered by telling the OP to go outside more and stop basing your perception of reality on social media comments from random people.

It's a true statistic for dating apps. Most men on Reddit don't do anything for their dating lives aside from unsuccessfully swiping on apps with no results year after year and call that "effort". In real life you will see couples matched up around the same level. Plenty of average people are with other average people. Solution: Don't rely on low effort dating apps that are designed mostly to suck money out of desperate men.

I don't get this either. I live in the suburbs and there are plenty of places to socialize. Churches, bars, clubs, gyms, hobby groups, parks, local events, concerts, etc. all still exist. Once someone is beyond college age they are no longer surrounded by people of the same age and situation anymore. It takes effort to put yourself out there and be social. A lot of people seem to think things will happen automatically like it may have in the past, but it gets different when you are older. A lot …

This is a post I can get behind. I think a lot of men would do best breaking their lives down into different categories and finding activities and interests to fit each. For me I look for these things myself: Physcial activities - I left weights and take a kickboxing class for my cardio. There are people at the gym and kickboxing is around 90% women. Unwinding activities - videogames, movies, etc. Won't really be social, but sometimes can be. Creative activities - I do studio photography. I most…

I would say a lot of the men’s complaints around here are often delusional. Sometimes there are some good points. Some are bad. Women always make these posts about how they are so happy by themselves, they are all expert cooks, have perfect emotional health, great with money, etc etc. This is simply not true of a lot of women. Just as there are lazy and delusional men I would argue there are the same amount of lazy and delusional women. A lot of women who struggle finding decent relationships si…

/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/23 10:41 AM

I am a bit older. The 30+ market of women isn’t that great. As another person replied, most of the good ones are off the market before then.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/23 10:40 AM

Another "women perfect, men bad" post. How original. Meanwhile there are plenty of emotionally damaged, lazy women out there. Plenty of women who are terrible with money, have no idea how to cook and live off premade food or takeout. A lot of women simply are not relationship material today. I won't comment on men since I do not date men. Maybe the same is true of men. But it is obvious the OP has no idea what dating women is like.

Most women I know are not sleeping around like crazy. Their social media has pics of their friends, family, vacation photos, etc. They are not posting thirst trap stuff and getting 1000s of DMs or offers to fly to Dubai. The internet looks at Insta models and applies that lifestyle across the entire pool of women out there. But in reality most women are just normal people living pretty average lifestyles. Party girls do exist, but they are not the majority.

It’s true on dating apps and mostly due to apps being mostly men. If roles were reversed men would be swiping on less women and going more for the top tier of women. It does have some spillover to real life as some women on apps may shrug off an average guy as they have a catalog of men on their phone. But I think most people would prefer to meet in real life, which is why most couples you see are around the same level of attractiveness, self improvement and self realization. If you don’t want t…

Read the first 3 paragraphs and though "this guy has to be a virgin". Then I kept reading....Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it doesn't sound like you have much experience in this area to make a realistic analysis. You are putting women on a pedestal. Most women I knew while in school were drinking and partying rather then focusing super hard on studying. Women also enjoy sex. Also, if guys are making fun of you guys tend to poke fun at each other to their face. Women will gossip …

Self improvement is a basic part of being an adult that a lot fail to do. You should always be a work in progress and bettering yourself in some way. How often do you seriously put yourself out there? A lot of guys work on themselves, but never put decent effort into meeting women. They'll continue swiping on apps just like they did prior to improving, not realizing it is going to be hard for decent guys to succeed in an enviroment that is mostly men and few women. Improving also won't mean you …
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 02:49 AM

I think the silent assumption is that the person would be improving themselves over that time period. They will struggle at the start, but put their head down, focus and do the work. Life eventually becomes easier. A 400lb unemployed guy living in a garage isn't going to suddenly become "chad" on his 30th birthday. That makes no sense. This is also true of most things. If you want to learn piano you have to practice regularly for several years to be really good.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 07:23 PM

I don't think I have ever heard anyone say 30s will be easier for men who slacked off in their 20s. Things get easier over time due to putting in the work for an extended period of time. It isn't a once you hit 30 life becomes easy thing. There's nothing magical about the number itself. Life becomes easier once you have had 10+ years to achieve things and gain experience.

Most dudes download a dating app, put up a few shitty pics, swipe and wonder why nothing works. Then they continue swiping for years feeling like they are putting in effort when they are really doing the bare minimum. I think most guys would do better if they went outside more often.

I count my macros, lift, kickbox and am generally active in some way most days of the week. I don't need someone who does all that. But I would like her to be in shape, somewhat active even if it is just walking regularly or something simple and doesn't always shovel garbage food in their mouth. I mostly just look for someone that can explore outdoor areas with me and values their health and body.

A lot of "milf" porn videos use popular pornstars. They are often in their 20s. Similiar to how you may see a regualr movie that takes place during college but all the actors are 30 or whatever. Plus pornstars are typically in shape, covered in makeup and have good lighting on them. You can't mix fantasy with reality. Women in their 30s can certainly be attractive. But saying they are typically just as attractive as someone 10 years younger is not realistic.

Men are allowed to have standards. Everyone can decide what is important to them. If most men you are coming across have an issue with high body count that should tell you something. It doesn't matter what your personal feelings are when the crowd you are trying to market to is disgusted by it.

Agree and disagree. I found the easiest time in college. Everyone is packed into the same area and around the same age/at the same stage in life. Right after college is the hardest because men are then at the bottom career wise and competing with men slightly older who have more. In my late 30s now it is easy to find dates. I keep in good shape, make money, volunteer in the community, dress nice, can socialize, etc. For people who kept on top of things it is easy. Not so much for people who did …

I don't think things are as drastic as this forum would make it seem. I also don't think the OP is correct either. There are a lot of women that have hooked up or had a hook up phase. Most women will not be honest about this so it will be hard to get accurate numbers. And other then your normal hookup, I do think a lot of women are shopping out of their price range thanks to dating apps. Red pill to me used to be about finding what areas of your life you can improve to reach your goals. Remain calm and focused. There are endless ways to find connection and meaning. Personally I am never bored when single. There are great people around me and I am always busy doing fun things. Having a partner adds a little to that, but not having a partner doesn't make things boring. If not having a partner makes life boring then you are simply a boring person an should work on that.

We live in an age where you can have information about any topic in the world beamed right into your home. You can travel anywhere in the world for the most part. If you are bored then you need to work on not being a boring person. Having a partner won't fix that. The point of cooking good food is that I enjoy trying new recipes and eating good food. Why does cooking for another person have to be the only reason to make a decent dish?

Best of luck outside of the apps. Apps don't attract the best quality people so sifting through things to find the right person doesn't always work. Don't be afraid to strike up a conversation with someone in real life that seems like they might be interesting. People met all the time before apps so it can be done with some effort. Have you taken an honest look at what you have to offer and your attractiveness? Men will often date down short term, but not want anything longer term with someone levels below them in term of attractiveness. Also, where do you meet men?
