I lost my dad when I was 14 due to an accidental drug overdose (he was addicted to pain meds from a prior surgery). The feeling of losing someone that close never really goes away, but I find serenity by believing that he’s truly in a better place. Stay strong, brother.

Buy as much high value property as I could. Assuming I get to keep what I bought, I would just sell it all once the 24 hrs is over. If I DIDN’T get the keep what I bought, I’d probably just take the most expensive and luxurious vacation there is.

I have a friend in a similar situation. I don’t tell him how he should live his life, but every once in a while I’ll mention how awesome being single is. It’s like a little nudge in the right direction.

There were a lot of reasons, both big and small, but I’d rather not get into it. I’m also not going to sit here and pretend I was a saint because I had a lot of issues as well. I just wanted to make this because regardless of who’s fault it was, my life has gotten drastically better since I’ve been on my own.

I mean there’s nothing wrong with dating a little more if you want. A lot of people truly find the love of their life and are happy that way. I just think I’m better off by myself. There are too many things I want to have and want to experience that will ultimately be halted by getting into a relationship. Again you’re young, so maybe experiencing more relationships might be good for you. Eventually you’ll figure out what you want.

Or maybe you don’t have any friends. Before I met my current friend group, I’d been the most mentally drained I’ve ever been in my life. I know that it’s not really “forced” but I still consider it a factor.

Unfortunately my dad passed away when I was young so we never got to talk about stuff like this, but my mother actually doesn't want me to get a girlfriend/wife. She wants me to focus on myself and become the best version that I can be. I love her so much.
