Arse Technica? Fuck them. Aren't they one of those cunt sites that jumped on the "gamers are dead" bandwagon? No doubt some cunt will write some snarky article where she holds forth that "men cannot be discriminated against because blah blah blah..."

Why are NOW against this kind of reform in the first place? After all, parental roles are one of the main example of traditional gender expectations in our society, the very kind of traditional gender roles NOW (and other feminists) claim to be against.

This isn't real feminism guys! Yeah ok, this screed may have been written on a website called Feminist Current by a self-described feminist, a feminist who majored in women's studies, and the supportive comments may have been written by people (women?) calling themselves "tired feminist" and the like, but these aren't real feminists" and this isn't "real feminism". Oh no no no no...

"White older men, however, may be less psychologically equipped to deal with the normal challenges of prostate cancer, likely because of their privilege up until late adulthood, Canetto asserts." You see how it works? "Privilege" can be used to rationalise anything men experience, giving society (and governments) licence to set these issues aside completely...

No, I'm not a troll, but yes - fuck women. "Most women are good people". That's why they support feminist politicians whose main agenda is giving wimmin even more free shit. No, I have no respect for women. These are the people who laugh about men being raped in prison, boys being beaten up by girls, men being treated like shit by the courts, they laugh when men are ill, sick, dying or dead. Well fuck them.

"Better representation in games"? Odd thing is, when I play Mass Effect I always have my Cmdr Shepard as a black man (I'm a white male). I don't know why, but I always thought a black face fitted his voice better than anything else. So am I discriminating against myself because my Shepard is of a different demographic to me, or is the whole idea of "representation" in video games complete bullshit designed to give people something to complain about? Hmmm...

Prior to 1918 a man's entitlement to vote in the UK depended on income and property. Around 40% of all men over the age of 21 (the minimum voting age of the time) were ineligible to vote. Being ineligible for the vote didn't make these men ineligible for conscription however...

As I said elsewhere on r/mensrights, Julie Bindel isn't some extremist who's "out there" somewhere, she's pretty much a mainstream feminist who is frequently employed by mainstream media. She is a mainstream feminist, not an "extremist".
/r/MensRights05/09/15 12:51 PM

But they are her opinions. It doesn't matter where they are posted, the fact is she is a feminist who has a regular column in a national newspaper and is quite well known. The fact she espouses such opinions and yet continues to write columns in mainstream publications speaks volumes...

Is she really though (so out there from the mainstream)? Short bio of her from the Guardian, for which she has written a large number of articles: "Julie Bindel, a freelance journalist and political activist, is a founder of Justice for Women. She is the co-editor of Gaze: A Modern Review..." Seems pretty mainstream to me, to the extent that she has a regular column in a national newspaper in the UK.

The "MRA" you quote is Jill Kirby, who is a conservative family policy expert. This does not necessarily make her an MRA. As for the article I linked to, which you seem to see as a feminist rally-cry for help for struggling males, all I see i a "ra-ra-ra you-go-girls" article, with only one line - "Where boys are failing, schools should question what's happening in the classroom" - going anywhere near mentioning helping boys at all. Nice try at derailing, now kindly piss off.
/r/MensRights09/07/15 07:19 PM

Stop being bloody stupid. MRAs do not think "men are entitled to higher pay than women". Why don't you go back to Gawker where you came from?
/r/MensRights09/07/15 05:04 PM

So feminists have no problem with the fact younger women earn more. Your cherry-picked paragraphs are full of the usual male-shaming language that MRAs are now used to. "Champion for equal treatment and equal benefits"? How? What have feminists demanded of education and academia to bring boys up to girls' level? More male teachers? Ask teachers to grade boys' and girls' work equally? Or do they merely want to turn boys into girls and hope they can adapt?
/r/MensRights09/07/15 02:54 PM

Pay inequality that favours women is fine to some feminists: http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2011/nov/27/young-women-earning-more-men As for our "lack of concern", well that sounds like you're the one who's projecting...

Yes, that was the point. The problem is it's feminists (or at least most of them) who don't get it. Plus, there's nothing stopping a woman from getting a job where she needs to wear a hard hat and risk early death, but a male model wearing a bikini or high heels? Eesh...

That would be like a feminist saying "I don't have to wear a hard hat, and my chances of dying on the job are much lower, so I mean, more power to the guys". ...yeah

I'll never fall for the WAW effect personally because I loathe women anyway. /s And isn't a healthy does of misogyny a good counterbalance to all the women-worship that goes on nowadays? /s In all seriousness though, isn't the WAW effect going to turn some men into misogynists, merely as a kind of psychological self-defence against the prevailing culture? I have to play Devil's Advocate here and say all I heard was a mother losing her temper with her kids. Some interesting insights from the female panellist, demonstrating that women judge men based on physical characteristics as much as men judge women. The idea that women are disproportionately "objectified" by the opposite sex is bunk, and is easily disproved when you just ask women (not feminists!) about their experiences and attitudes.
