Today, game developers shoehorn female soldiers in WW2 games, unabashedly erasing men's coerced sacrifice from popular culture, all for money. Here's another thought: It's a company trying to make money. They will do whatever is necessary to appeal to current day society such as genderequality = adding playable female characters to the game to appeal to a broader audience. Also, it's not up to a company designing video games to teach the kids about history, and if you want to expand on that logic; it's also not logical that everyone was running and gunning about like spastics back in world war 2.
