lol, as if we needed more proof that no one in this subreddit is getting laid.

No, you are. You entirely ignored the fact that reporting crimes gets criminals off the street. Instead you just said that it's "up to the victims to report" as though that's the only thing that matters. Either you don't care about getting rapists off the street or you didn't think through the consequences of your argument. If that's not what you think, why would you not care whether or not people report rapists?

Defamation is pretty broad for false accusations. Especially ones that go public. There's already recourse for defamation. Why is rape special? Hell, defamation laws even take into account how serious the defamation is and the consequences that arise from it. So if you are making the case that rape accusations are especially damaging, this is already addressed by current laws. It doesn't matter if they're a particular prevalent problem. There can be many injustices at once and all can be fought …

OK, but is there any evidence that false rape claims are a particularly prevalent problem? As far as I know the conviction rate is lower than it is for pretty much any other crime, so it doesn't seem like you'd be in any particular danger of being falsely convicted. And why is rape special when we don't have a policy like that for any other type of false police report?

I don't know. I went to a pretty liberal school where they made us take diversity courses, and never once was it defined that way. IIRC the definition was more about historical trends of inequality favoring whatever group is in power. I can type it up if you're interested. It requires some background information though. Point is, I've never seen it defined with circular logic like "patriarchy is whatever feminism opposes" except here.

Out of curiosity, what do you think the patriarchy is supposed to be?

To each their own, but I think heroically saving the lives of others counts as a personal achievement. You describing that act as "throwing your life away" honestly makes me a little sick. To me, the other stuff is secondary. I think saving a human life is a noble achievement and that Aaron Feis deserves our respect. You can acknowledge that expecting a man to sacrifice himself because he's a man is toxic, while still honoring the men who do so. You don't have to cheapen their actions in the pro…

It was at +22 before I made a comment (now deleted) shaming /u/MRA-automatron-2kb and explaining just how dumb it was. After that his comment started being downvoted. I think the user base upvoted the comment and people from /r/all downvoted it.

I'm curious, what do you make of this set of comments. All were highly upvoted before the "brigade". https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/7wdr3t/menareawesome/dtztscm/

Female firefighters who risk their lives don't deserve credit? Or is this a "men vs women, who is better" thing?

I thought that was the problem with objectification? Even if you do all that, people still tend to ignore all that and focus on your sex appeal. It basically sucks for everyone except the shallow people you were just talking about.

I'm curious, what's the purpose of hitting on hundreds of people? Do that many turn you down? Nah, I'm just flirty by nature. It's a lot of fun. I flirt with pretty much anyone once I feel comfortable, even the occasional man. I understand some people feel awkward and might not enjoy it, but it's fun for me. You have to read social situations though. You can't keep flirting with people who don't respond to it or who aren't OK with it. But that's not very hard to avoid. That's just it, you can fi…

If you don't know how things will happen, how can you tailor an approach that is never clumsy, or scary? You can't. I don't understand this, could you clarify? As I understand it, it's actually incredibly easy to approach in a way that isn't scary. I hit on women all the time and I don't think I've ever seen one be afraid. I'm talking hundreds of people here. Sure, occasionally they get annoyed, but I've literally never seen someone get scared. I feel like this is something people with little to…

Social ineptness doesn't just mean words. It can mean inappropriately touching someone. Why did you zero in on words just now?
