The problem is that the Left now appears to be just a competition for handouts, with identity politics and anti-work/anti-reponsibility attitudes being the main philosophies driving the push for free money and debt forgiveness. I still consider myself a "live and let live" social liberal but it's just not compatible with the social causes of the Left which are anything but liberal and fair.

Yeah, you hear plenty of Israelis calling for peace and condemning Israel's own use of force, but you never hear Palastinians condemning Hamas or their attack on Israel. All the defenders of the Palastinians like to point out that the ordinary citizens are innocent and Hamas is a separate issue, while failing to acknowledge that Hamas continuously recruits ordinary citizens. Their ideology is not totally out of sync with the general feelings of the Palastinian public toward the Jews.

You're paying a lot of money for this class. Or even if you have a full scholarship, your goal is still to just ace the class and get your degree with a respectable GPA. Don't risk that over a disagreement with the curriculum. Your degree/GPA are just a right of passage to prove you can work hard and follow a program. In the workplace, there will be plenty you disagree with but you still have to go along to get along, unless you're OK with never being promoted. A lot of workplaces additionally h…

I'm not so concerned about privacy issues as I am the possibility of normalizing this behavior resulting in an increase in wait times for men to use changing rooms. If women have a habit of spending more time in changing rooms, men should not be obliged to deal with the overflow in their own section.

They are converting them into "family spots" for pregnant women and people traveling with children. This of course is going to still disproportionately advantage women, but now inclusive of other people who need more protection. Pregnant women can certainly benefit from being closer to the building entrance, and children are probably more likely to be hit by cars in a busy parking lot than women raped by strangers. Beyond that, making these spots less woman-specific makes sense anyways in a worl…

You can talk about legal/tax benefits, but really the main benefit is that it's harder to break up, therefore your kids have a better chance of growing up in a 2 parent household.

I'll add one more observation - the size of your average mask is more accommodating of a female face. Can't tell you how many masks feel uncomfortable to me with my prominent nose, strong jaw and overall larger sized head/face.

I caught COVID a couple weeks ago at an establishment that required me to wear a mask the whole time. I complied with the restriction and yet I still caught COVID there. I'll be less inclined to mask up in the future seeing as how it didn't do me any good when I actually needed it, and besides, the illness was less severe than an average cold. Perhaps this line of rationalization is a more common thought process in men, as opposed to with women who might on average be inclined to listen to "expe…

Mental health issues or not, she maliciously tried to cause you as much physical pain as possible, she's a liar and manipulator, and she's clearly not faithful to her wedding vows to treat you this way. In short, she's evil. It's big of you to put up with these issues of hers, but it's self-destructive for you to continue along with this road. Women like her are not marriage material. Lawyer up and protect yourself. Good luck.

Let's just pause for a moment and reflect in how much of an era of privilege we live in that these are the kind of issues we spend our time thinking about.

Most guys who have dated a range of women know that the ones who are most "fun" sexually tend to also be the most crazy/dramatic/manipulative types. That said, always take the maximum precaution when bedding a woman who isn't marriage material, and don't trust her is she says she's on the pill. We all know the laws are stacked against us but we have other ways of controlling the risks and we shouldn't rely on politics.

Agreed. Based on my own experiences with women, I can attest to tattoos being strongly correlated with "fun, but not long term material". Perhaps there are exceptions to the rule but usually you have to be a little bit unstable to get to a place where permanent ink seems like a good idea. And the more visible, the higher the red flag.

You were coerced to do things against your better judgment but ultimately you went forward with consent so I wouldn't call this sexual assault. Of course, this doesn't excuse her from being manipulative, and doesn't invalidate the negative feelings you have about it. She sounds like an obnoxious slut and it never feels good to be involved with that type of person in the end - definitely makes sex feel more cheap and dirty. There are better women out there - just take the lesson learned that sexu…

Obviously she overreacted, but it might be less a product of toxic feminism and more a result of the COVID fear mongering. Despite the risks being very low for that age demographic (and even lower if she's vaxed), there are definitely still people who are afraid to even go out in public, nevermind be tapped on the shoulder, no matter how low the risk.

Same here (I'm not a cardiologist, that's just the random name Reddit gave me). There are numerous "networking groups" at my company, most of which are based on gender, race, sexual orientation, etc. There are many women and minorities in high level positions, and when you look at their LinkedIn profiles, it's common to see that their claim to fame is their participation in these things or in 3rd party groups of the same nature. So there's far more opportunity to succeed if you're not white and …

You could make a case that it's privilege to be spared from a pure survival standpoint, but a glorious death while sacrificing yourself for your people has long been a common theme in the course of mankind, and some might argue that that's more preferable than surviving on the losing side. WWII probably did have some genetic imprint on certain populations. The main drivers though of the relative lack of paternal haplotype diversity are the events over the millenia wherein nearly entire populatio…

This is due to historical patterns of war where the winners tend to kill the men of the opposing side, while women were more often spared or raped/ taken as wives. It has nothing to do with men's/women's righs/privileges in my opinion - it's primarily the biological differences between the sexes that have caused men to be more active as war fighters throughout the history of humanity.

In the US I've mainly only heard of landlords avoiding renting to a women becuse of the perception that men are less likely to be high maintenance (will change light bulbs themselves, won't call the landlord for minor things they can fix themselves or put up with, won't come up with cutesy little emotional victim excuses if they can't come up with the rent money).

If a man wants to get married despite these risks, the best thing he can do is focus on finding a partner who isn't narcissistic, which is extremely difficult these days. Apart from that, avoid these women - they can be tougher to spot than the more obvious ones (drug addicts, single mothers, alcoholics, etc): 1) Very sexual type: She will have higher chances of slipping up and cheating on you, especially if there ever comes a point in your life where you physically can't give her enough. 2) Ver…

I work in a large company who recently sent out a survey for employees to "self identify" their race, sex, pronouns, sexual orientation, sexual identity (though I thought this was supposed to be "gender" identity), military background, marital status, disability status, etc. It said right at the top that the purpose was to assist with the company's affirmative action program. Naturally, as a straight white male, I chose "prefer not to answer" for most of the categories - I'm not going to willing…

This is why you don't hook up with sexually aggressive women (apart from STDs) - they tend to be more drama than what it's worth. Gotta go old school and get to know them first if you want to avoid this kind of thing in the age of narcissism that we live in.

Feminism is fizzling out because BLM, LGBTQ+ organizations, and even Asian advocates are now competing harder for victim status.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
