No I get the purpose. But it would take a very specific type of vibe, specific man, and specific woman to be able to say that off the cuff without it seeming gross, forced, cringy or all 3. In a perfect situation for that, then it could work. But in a regular situation with an average mindset for both sides…that shit would come off incredibly “trying hard to be suave”.

Because that was some corny ass shit. Sure, maybe you have used it before and it happened to work, but as general advice? That’s a terrible “game plan”. It’s not that deep. It’s just not drinking alcohol. He should just say he doesn’t drink casually and then keep the mood somewhere light and fun.

Frankly, the whole thing is weird. The message on a phone thing was lame as hell lmao. She came in there to study and focus on something…believe it or not, tons of women don’t like the idea that everywhere they go they will have to reject advances. Especially when they are busy and focused. He called her a “gorgeous birdie” and a milf, and said he should’ve asked if she was “happily” married. This dude is whack as hell and the archetype for type of dudes women talk their shit about.

I don’t think you did anything wrong to your friend at all, but I’m curious, what were his thoughts about it all? Did he stay at the venue with y’all when you were dancing and making out?

Sometimes it has nothing to do with mistakes. Some people simply don’t connect. I wouldn’t phrase it in a way that makes it seem like if you do everything “right” then there WILL be a connection, because that’s just not true. It’s all extremely case dependent

It’s not. Women generally enjoy sex (though not always, due to many factors), but most aren’t consumed by it the way men are. Women’s arousal/sex drive seems to be more finicky than men’s on average, just in the sense of what it takes to get them going or even desire it, as opposed to an average dude

This is one of the most accurate comments I’ve seen in this sub

I don’t think he cares. If he wasn’t comfortable with knowing that stuff about here, I’m sure they wouldn’t discuss it

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
