I know a guy who says things like ‘pft, I’ve cheated before (and had a child with this other woman) and the wife stayed. She’s too lazy to leave. She’s so dependent on my income for our kids. I could do whatever and she’s not going to leave.’ It’s sickening to hear. So you mistreat her, trap her in homemaker mode for multiple kids, and then hold the money over her head too all while banging other people?!?! I mean, I can’t even ‘blame’ her for staying because this dude has been manipulating her …

It coincides with her education It’s the reason her skin is excellent, dumb ass It’s her money, go get your own

What in the actual f? Press charges sis!

I was going to say the same thing. Men who cheat are typically men who manipulate and abuse as well. I feel sorry for the women who truly believe the other woman ‘made him do it’ because you know she’s been beat down and lied to over and over to get to that point. It’s stupid because he’s making the choice to cheat but also sad.

Independent - I’m not giving you anything. Dependent - hostage. Maybe we should look for the one that doesn’t demand a damn thing but for you to be you?! Simple but asking for too much as usual lol

I couldn’t agree more. I see those types and think ‘just let me belittle you and be an all around asshole and you should just take it’. And they wonder why they are single...

Exactly! Oh trust me, I giggled when I saw it. It was clear it wouldn’t work as soon as he asked that bullshit question. I too relish when they see themselves out. Saves me so much time in the long run.

It is exactly like this on all old apps. This one is E Harmony that I freaking paid for. I do not recommend.

Oh yeah it was early on, and yes he wanted kids so that’s why I was open and honest. What got me fired up is his question back... why would it matter if it was my choice or not?! Yes, sir, I chose to stop hemorrhaging on my bathroom floor and okayed the emergency hysterectomy... so sorry for your inconvenience... ugh

My ex just pulled this the other day. Me ‘telling everyone lies’ about the things he’s done in the past. Sadly, it’s 100% truth and I have everything to back up what I say. So happy that I walked away from him. Just trying my best to ‘co-parent’ with a compulsive liar and all around lazy person. Sigh ... talk about projecting his own guilt onto me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/08/20 07:17 PM

Wow... not surprising... but wow the laziness. Rather be single then to not know my worth and to not be worth it. Sounds like they just want a high value hoe.

My first thought was another woman... cleaning a garage my ass! If ANYthing is more important than your wife and brand new little baby... kick his ass out to that other thing. I’d have said, ‘good thing that garage is clean, your stuff will be dropped there by the end of the day tomorrow!’

My oldest son has been ‘buying’ me flowers since he was 3. Every time he comes with me grocery shopping, he picks a bouquet, runs back with a HUGE smile and says he wants to buy them for me. He’s 7 now and amazingly still doing it every time we shop. It’s the sweetest part of being a single mom. He’s teaching his little brother how to do it now too. Raising these boys to be gentlemen!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/05/20 01:15 PM

I think that’s exactly it. I truly believe he could tell I’ve got too much experience to buy into any bullshit. I’m not the easy mark I was years ago. And if that’s what it was, then good! Thanks for not wasting another moment of my time! :)

A girlfriend once told me ‘girl, you’re a million bucks. You can’t force anyone to accept a million bucks and honestly, do you want to be with someone who isn’t ready for that kind of value?’ Nah, sis. Take your million dollar ass and keep walking. Their loss, not yours!

Same issue with my only it’s my siblings and their spouses. It’s never them, it’s always me. That’s gas lighting and abusive. If you cut off the ability or chance for the comments, etc to be made, you’ll be so much happier. It’s freeing really. But hard because it’s your family and you want to have that relationship. But it’s a toxic relationship that isn’t going to change.

It is truly amazing how these people react to you shutting down the opportunity to crush your soul some more. I ended that opportunity with some very close people in my life almost two years ago. They are still enraged to this day. Because how could I have the AUDACITY of sticking up for myself? Lol not my monkeys, not my circus!

Some days I wish I was that delusional. But then again it’s more ignorant and stupid and that is not something I’d like to be lol. If this guy ever had to be afraid to go on a date, tell someone who they were meeting where and when, or even survive assault etc... I think he wouldn’t make it too far in life.

I first started to read all about narcissists and sociopaths. Gaining the knowledge in the men that were seeking me out helped identify that it wasn’t something wrong with me. I was just the weak, easy, prey. After that, I did a lot of self exploration with journaling. I also wrote and publicly shared a 20ish page account of my 10+ years of abusive men. That, should have been a book. Still tossing around the idea of writing one honestly. It was hard and enlightening and devastating and freeing. …

You should be very proud of yourself for realizing your worth at such a young age. I’m a decade older than you and only recently am seeing how I abused myself and thus was abused by my past significant others. It’s such a vicious cycle to get sucked into. We’re all in this together here. I wish I had a place like this to have gone to years ago! Utilize the wealth of knowledge here.

You’re not alone! I pulled up old notes and screen shots of why I don’t go there. It helped. This huge change has made me feel extra lonely and needy. I’m glad this was posted as a group reminder. I know I’m not the only one having these thoughts!

Thank you so very much for saying it!!! Strong women and children can overcome a LVM. It’s nice to be recognized for that. And seeing as though we’re both on here trying to educate ourselves and do better... I’m proud of us both!

I must be the ‘exception’?! I got rid of the LVM and planned to raise my beautiful boys all on my own. It’s hard but so rewarding. Yes, I wish the circumstances were different but their still my babies. The first LVM and I were married and trying for a baby. His colors didn’t show until after I was pregnant. Second LVM was a mistake. I gave him a shot and once he proved himself completely unworthy - out the door he went. I don’t have time for men like that. But if you do bring a child into it...…

Same here. I’m raising two gentlemen. They don’t need a bunch of fuck boys in and out of their lives showing them how to treat women. If I find a HVM that makes it far enough to meet my boys, that is saying a lot. I’ve made the mistake with my first born by allowing a bf to be in both our lives. Bad, bad decision. But I’m learning and growing. I won’t ever do that to him again and it isn’t going to happen to my youngest.

Single momma and recovering pickmeisha here... yes, yes and yes!!! I have limited time, resources and energy to deal with bs. I’m ‘nexting’ dates left and right with all the red flags and standards I’ve set since finding this sub. All the things you shared and more. First signs of rushing, insisting on meeting my kids, etc. this instant family some guys think we single moms want (heavy eye roll). You can’t fund my family so you can act like a shitty fool. Not tolerating that. My kids have me as …

Not necessarily true. Some of the best ladies I know have been stuck and eyes shut with LVM. Just because they are married and have been for a long time or seem to have their shit together, you might find out they’ve been surviving hell too without realizing it. Stick to the ladies on here. It is the best thing I’ve come across so far. Read all the articles. Study what’s healthy. Be vigilant.

Also see: - making jokes at your expense - making you feel guilty about money, your success, etc etc - keeping relationships with other women regardless of your gut instinct (your gut is always right) - blaming alcohol or substance abuse for behavior

I had a total hysterectomy done last October. Part of the OB GYN consultation was asking me ‘what if you meet Mr. Right someday and he wants kids, can you live with the fact that you can’t give him kids.’ Uhhhhhh... so I should be worried about a mythical or hypothetical man who is dating a woman without a uterus and guilt tripping her because she can’t give him kids. My reply to my (female) OB was ‘Dude sounds like a real Dick’. I was literally bleeding out all the time and before doing surgery…

Oh definitely. Men KNOW how they’re treating women. They KNOW the results as far as hurting us physically, emotionally, mentally, financially, etc. But they also know in this society, the consequence is a slap on the wrist. It’s infuriating.

Right? I see this more and more. I’m grateful people are speaking up and talking about the issue. Now if we can just get our justice system behind these survivors and quit pleaing them out, maybe men might think twice.

This is amazing! I’ve finished the whole series. The giant mental fuck of living with a sociopath is something not many share publicly. You feel guilty like you should have known. You feel stupid because somehow you should have known. You want to throw up and crawl out of your skin thinking he did these things and came home and was intimate with you. You left him alone with your kids. You took care of him while he was out doing x, y, z... this sent me triggered and panicky the entire time I watc…

Learning to live alone is HARD ladies. And though I get lonely and sometimes even desperate (recovering pickmeisha here) it is so so so worth it. No more being weighed down by their poor financial decisions. No more cleaning up their dirty underwear and dishes. No more wondering who is blowing up their phones or where they went after work. No more excuses. I get to make all my own decisions, raise my two babies myself the way I want to, make my own damn living which is twice as good as if I had …

Yes yes yes. It is so hard to see through the bullshit. But a HVM will take his time to be there for you. Even if it’s not convenient, even if he gets nothing out of it and you reap the rewards of his help, etc. LVM show this effort in the first 3 months or so of dating. If you’ve made it passed that mark, still keep your eyes peeled and standards high. Because LVM will slowly take off the mask and stop pretending after this point.

Men our age (I’m 31) don’t want a woman, they want an app. They want convenience and instant gratification. They want something that is devoted to making them happy at all times. They want to remain children without returning anything to the relationship. This isn’t a new concept though. Women have been dealing with the issue for a very long time. However, we no longer depend on them for survival. We can now live independent from a man and be just fine. The only problem I see if the innate need …
