The culture in the army taught me to value constructive criticism, but one thing I like that the military does, that a lot of men could benefit from (a lot of guys will recognize this) 3x changes/3xkeeps. For every self-criticisms, you have to give yourself one complement. EVEN IF IT IS UNRELATED (I am getting fat/I did a good job shaping up my beard). This keep you from spiraling into self hatred. I am always suprised that Machiavellianism is considered appart of the "dark T". So many profession require strategic backstabbing as a survival mechanism. I think by it self, it could be classified as a survival mechanism
