Let's hope it's replaced by decentralized blockchain technology. I know the network effect is very hard to overcome, but there's potentially a lot of value added.

That's awesome. I love the idea but am leaning toward just buying a small plot of rural land somewhere and throwing a trailer up on it. It's more practical in the long run.

I'm in a similar situation and am seriously considering moving to Puerto Rico due to the crypto tax situation. If you live in Puerto Rico for 181 days out of the year, you pay NO federal income tax on crypto profits. I was looking on Puerto Rico craigslist and rent seems very reasonable. I saw an upscale studio in San Juan "steps from the beach" and the big hotels, in a big high rise with security and a pool for $800/mo. Oh and it offers 6 month leases. There's cheaper ones but if I moved to PR …

Not really a fan of "tiny houses" but I've been looking into alternative housing options, such as converting shipping containers. I've also considered van dwelling in a converted Sprinter.
