I used to think that the mentality that your friend has is wrong, but I had recently come out of a relationship with a girl who’s been with a guy that showed her little to no affection for 4 whole years and I had treated her in the opposite way. Once the guy found out she dates me, he texted her and guess what, she went back to him. It was a tough pill to swallow, but at the same time a very useful life lesson.
