Like, just imagine the world you would have to live in to you think that going outside you have a chance to just be brutalized at any moment. I used to think the same thing, until I met a girl who is genuinely dyslexic. Very bright, quick, clever, but letters are merely random, disorganized squiggles that rearrange themselves before her eyes. Stupid people(she isn't) typically can't help it. Whether or not one earns more than their (former)partner has no bearing on which party pays child support. The non-custodial parent pays the custodial parent.
