The 80/20 situation relates to how technology has impacted human choice and decision making by offering a daily roll call of every available mate within a geographic region. No group of people in history had access to anything exactly like that.

Maybe its just something fashionable to write on a dating app where most people honestly can't think of anything to write about themselves. If everyone is intelligent in their own way then the term doesn't mean too much. And if the woman is conventional they may not have any interest in an intellectual or outsider.

Most men I've seen approach come up with some pretext to get a number. I would say the era of being overly direct with a complete stranger is long gone, perhaps by many decades. The problem is some are not skilled about making uo a pretext even in situations where it appears there is mutual interest

You cannot go into most bars alone. The vibe is so oppressive towards anyone the minute you walk in. But at the same time drink prices are way up due to lack of people going out. I couldn't believe how much a small music venue charged for Pabst almost ten dollars. The last concert I went to the band was shocked at how uptight the patrons were. But a lot of single people who might enjoy live music probably just opt out.

Well # 1 it's probably mostly imitation. You have to write something on dating sites. Actually the funniest thing is fake profiles outside the U.S trying to describe American women as "humble God fearing optimistic" ect Everyone in trp therapy knows that "funny guy" is often part of the approval seeking nice guy routine that women don't like. Smart is a very subjective term but this is funny because I like intelligent people but most women in the dating world don't seem to feel any responsibilit…

I just think they are hyper-empowered and don't care about any guys opinion of anything they do. Thus they are constantly talking about their sex/dating life to anyone who will listen and dgaf if it bothers you or if you lose interest.
/r/askTRP23/11/18 05:59 PM

Just ask them. They will not only tell you the number but very graphic details as well.

It's the marketplace and marketplaces are not fair. All kinds of average women can get casual sex with younger and more attractive guys . Next time you go on a Tinder date ask them about it. Most of them love to blab about their sexcapades. And all the guys driving long distances to hook up with them

I do it if I can think of something topical to say. I don't just go up to people and introduce myself. But the internet is becoming more and more useless every day (for dating) so not much alternative.

I wouldn't take what most people claim to be seriously. Judge people by their actions. Do feminists date "nice guys", do marxists give away their wealth and privilege? But as far as acedemically the biggest experiment with marxism was the Soviet Union 1917-1930's especially. Case study on why this philosophy will never work.

This is like one of the all-time top questions along with "what are you looking" for and yeah I think a lot of people try to be too logical and answer it from the male pov.

You're right I don't think most women are studying up on how to talk to men. Probably a few of them do read self-help books. Overall they have natural abundance due to technology and other factors. It's good to recognize these constant tests. But honestly sometimes it makes me want to just not meet the person. Especially if the date is going to be a chore. The complexity of it all is a bit mind boggling some days. You practically need to be Freud to meet an average looking woman for a beer and c…

entertainment in general just doesn't deal with reality on any level. All you get with movies are brands and agendas. So to the extent that rp is trying to describe things (people/life) as they actually are, you are correct. I don't even watch television but movies for many years have been a complete wasteland. I remember how some people complained about The Wire because it was too realistic. Or if you want to go back to the year that Precious won best picture and see why some critics said it wa…

If you say one wrong word or sentence they will ghost you. If you make plans days or a week away most likely will never happen. Most guys are talking to a few women at a time. Most women talking to dozens or more guys. You get bumped out of the rotation in a nano-second. Worst thing about Tinder is it creates the mindset that people are disposable commodities.

Good question . I guess if you are in a good frame of mind asking for a number or date will just come out naturally. If you are not feeling abundance it's very hard for it not sound kind of weak .

I would say that women are looking for all sorts of arbitrary reasons to screen and disqualify men due to the abundance they are experiencing. In general I feel that women are just empowered and like demonstrating that they have numerous suitors and can reject you for whatever reason they choose.

A lot of women view themselves as human resources directors now. They are looking for any arbitrary reason to disqualify people. Whether you want to try to win over the shallow minded ones is sort of a judgment call.

Dates these days too often mean falling into their frame of trying to over-analyse and screen you from a long list of candidates. I would especially flee from anyone that suggests a coffee date to "see if there is a connection ". That means they are not that interested and don't want to invest more than five minutes on you. I would say go on a date if you have some common interest and they are willing to invest in doing something that's going to be enjoyable

They really don't care what you do. The question is just a knee-jerk reaction which is I why I would go with safe and boring careers. They will believe almost anything but probably not a stripper and do male strippers make a lot of money? I know the female ones do.

well if you have the energy patience and creativity, just make up something that you think women will consider respectable like professor of sociology, unionized parking meter reader, ornithologist or whatever you feel like talking about. That way you can skip over this absurd speed bump and if they aren't into you it will be at least be because of something relevant.

It's really such a pointless thing to talk about. Women write love letters to serial killers in prison but they are terrified of someone responsible who has a job that they don't approve of. Lately my instinct is just to avoid anyone who wants to talk about work minutiae.

I think trp is a reaction to a more complex and alienating dating environment. I don't think trp is causing any of the alienation. The culture of dating is changing rapidly and people come on here to talk about it. The thing causing the alienation is not a discussion forum but real world situations. We go on dates with women who have anywhere from fifty to a thousand potential suitors on their phones at all times.

It's really irrelevant to the outcome. You're not going to get any credit for paying for anything. On the other hand going on a two dollar coffee date is like a job interview. What are you going to get out of it? You're basically devaluing the person or vice versa. I refuse to go on another date like that. I've noticed some women get really freaked out if you pay for anything. I would almost be tempted to just leave if they do that. Because it's basically an admission that they have no interest,…

I wouldn't completely dismiss your theory or anything but I would not say that opposites attract is universal. A lot of cultures tend to prefer people from their own background if you look at Asia, Latin America, Middle East. And I would assume that in Africa and the Caribbean there are plenty of black guys who are happy with the local options.

There is really no way of knowing what it actually means. I suppose all you can do is watch what they do and not what they say. If you just had sex with someone, or you are in a relationship and they tell you that you are attractive it might be real. I think you have a good point because a lot of times we are missing or forget about this aspect of dating. I went out on a date with this woman who was some kind of social worker/ inspector who goes into people's houses and observes everything about the family and writes a report about it for social services. It didn't even occur to me until later that during the whole date she is observing me the way she does for her job. I've noticed that if you ask women who ghost you for feedback they are us…

No I wouldn't say that that is really an honest statement. I was kind of making the point that women like being unfiltered more than men.

doing an approach where you say something honest and vulnerable like "I just wanted to talk to you" is basically good for someone coming from a strong position and a lot of recent success. I don't think someone struggling can quite pull that particular line off successfully. But I do agree for the most part that words don't matter as much as people think. I don't know because concerts are not really a singles scene. Most of the people there are couples. If there is a single girl wandering around a music festival they would probably get scooped up in a nanosecond.

getting sidetracked on bumble/tinder about "what do you do for a living" "what are you looking for" blah blah is a dead end. You generally just have to unmatch them once it goes too far down this road. The convo should only be about logistics with a little small talk.

I would personally say don't go to bars alone unless you just enjoy it for its own sake. I think most people who go to bars alone are serious about drinking. And a byproduct of this could be ocassionally meeting women (who are also serious about drinking).

society is all about power relationships. Remember its socially acceptable for women to openly seek more power and influence in society using history as a justification . A white man in a western society openly stating that men should have more power and influence would be pilloried. Certain cultural groups are allowed to openly support patriarchy because for the most part race trumps gender. Morbidly obese women and unattractive women in general are doing fine. This is the double standard I was thinking about the other day after a woman I went on three dates with told me I was "too nice". She was not all that attractive, not all that interesting, dressed very plain. But she has an abundance of options as a white woman in the Tinder world. Being too nice is a disqualifier for men. But weighing 400 lbs is not disqualiflying at all especially if you are Caucasian
/r/TheRedPill25/05/18 07:53 AM

Anyone who has the so called nice guy syndrome is conditioned to try and win the approval of women especially if they're attractive mentally and physically. The only way some of us can step out of this and see what dgaf looks like is when/if we go on a date with someone truly hideous. It's hard to change these behaviors but maybe just try to visualize how you would act on a date with someone that you found very unattractive

Woman I know has only dated addicts for years and years. I would guess its a combination of factors. Everyone talks about how homosexuals and heroin addicts are irresistible because they care the least about women. There's also the titillation factor. Online dating started decades ago and it's finally evolved to the point where it's absolutely useless for a large segment of the male population. Women can get sex whenever with whoever but I'm not sure it's making them happier. So you want to date some angry entitled woman who thinks she's too good for you. That's a Tinder date in 2018

A woman I met for coffee from an app told me halfway through "this isn't even a date". This same woman's last relationship was a fwb that she flew from USA to Paris to have sex with once a month.

Dating over empowered, over entitled women who are not even very interesting or attractive most of the time definitely leads to burn out. I don't know where it's going because technology and many other factors has created this quagmire.

I imagine some of these app companies have a lot of psychologists on staff. Everything seems to be getting more and more complex and a lot of us are settling for less and less. The matching process becomes an end in itself and in some ways may seem preferable to actually dealing with a person.

yes but the USA does not even remotely resemble what you describe. In the USA what you primarily have now more than anything else are these "sugar babies" that match up with you on Tinder. I am definitely not highly successful at it, especially in the area where I live. Understand all the stats on lower 50 percent of males. Have occasionally done ok in bigger cities like DC, Philly, Northern Jersey. Im just wondering if there is a tipping point . The women seem more disengaged. Successful or not anyone is going to experience some burn out. I get the feeling people are just swiping from habit but not really into it.

i think this a classic s- test but depends on the context. I get something similar a lot on dates. So you could either just laugh about it , or if you want you could say you have a part time job decontaminating radioactive waste. It never ceases to amaze me what people see as respectable vs unrespectable. There is no logic to it. I sometimes tell people Im a sociology professor and they seem to consider that a really legit occupation.

well instead of making it just about sex you could think more about just taking an interest in people and if you invite them out dont fixate on the sex part. I dont think you can fake a mindset. So maybe just to try to engage people in activities you both enjoy.

its very hard to be attracted to American women. I would rather have a plain looking slightly overweight woman who is decent on the inside

I commented to someone in another thread recently about why some women prefer abusive, drug addicted criminal type men to more responsible men who don't give them the roller coaster. My observation was that in America and other similar countries, society takes care of women's bad decisions no matter how much they screw up. I know a woman who has mostly dated junkies for many many years. At one time she had a fairly nice house where all of the criminals she dated could stay. Then one of the junki…

why does it matter if the two of you are comfortable. You're far from a complete deadbeat. And honestly who cares. Your girlfriend is probably not a shallow person if she is educated and in the medical field. If she were some kind of trashy ignorant person then I guess you would be in trouble because she would probably leave you for a drug kingpin or someone with a cushy union job like a parking meter reader.

there was one in southeast Baltimore where young people got interested in an old neighborhood social club. I dont have the link. The new ones in CA are obviously going to be co-ed, hipster, expensive and highly elitist

dinner and drinks was the old school date long before swiping . I dont think dinner and drinks is that common or viable anymore . but it depends on the person. Do they have any personality. Are you really going to enjoy sitting down with them. If you are into them I'd say lunch or drink/appetizer. If you know nothing about them I'd do coffee or drink.

just accept that she's temporary and not care. Make a joke about if/when shes going to have sex with the other guy. take the threat off the table by not caring

there has been a resurgence of neighborhood social clubs. Some of them very expensive. I think some of them are all male or male oriented. To me it just seems like another thing hipsters do because they think its cool to recycle anything retro with their own values.

American women are pretty much the worst also. They have no traditional values and all their material needs are all taken care of. So its all about seeking out an identity that excites them. They've been told over and over that they never have to compromise. No matter how much the screw up they will still have free housing and guaranteed income provided.

the roller coaster thing could get complicated. Maybe she calls the police just to keep things interesting. See how you react once you get out of jail. Of course she'll always take the guy back after prison. But do you have a life with no responsibility where you can afford to be in and out of jail.

originally (1960's)it was an ideology that said males have too much power in society. I would say that "feminism" doesnt exist anymore as a movement. Women pretty much have all the empowerment that they asked for. I dont really even consider #metoo part of it. The #metoo is just something happening in the celebrity entertainment world.

the most common low to no skill jobs right now in the USA in my exp are driving for Uber Lyft or selling merchandise on the internet. These are the go-to gigs for refugees and immigrants who just showed up here a few nanoseconds ago. You could probably do them in addition to your day job.

they are all overly "empowered" by a multitude of factors most importantly technology. I wouldn't say its evil. Imagine if you were an average looking guy and had dozens of attractive women waiting to rush over to see you at a moment's notice. Compromise is not in their vocabulary anymore and their perceived options make them much more willing to replace you over minor things.

women have a instant sex on their phone which has removed 95% of the hook-up culture at bars/clubs. They don't need to dress slutty and hope that they meet someone who happens to be at the same club at the same time. There is a beach nightclub that I go to very occasionally and even NFL-looking guys appear to struggle. Out of a thousand people there on a weekend there might be 1 at most kind of slutty dressed girl dancing with random guys. Technology has mostly benefited women because the whole …

I am not good at small talk. There is complete lunatic at my coffee shop who is able to hold attractive women in conversation talking about aliens in outer space, astrology or whatever comes into his head and the girl will sit and listen to it for long periods of time (like twenty minutes) without leaving no matter how bizarre his monologue is. I never see him get a number though but I believe he could. Its almost like by making them listen to his b.s monologue he's asserting his dominance over …

I can't drink very much. Like two drink max. If you drink nothing or just a little it is very hard to hang out at bars for any period of time and also you just are not going to be in the same frame of mind as the really intoxicated people. So unless you're going to a music event just avoid bars because they are all about getting intoxicated and having many, many drinks. if you meet for a date at a bar just order some food or whatever. Your date is not going to care. I have met plenty of women fo…

I don't do expensive first dates . If you keep it simple then it doesn't matter whether you pay or not. The days of doing some kind of expensive dinner and drinks on a first date seem to be over. Everything is casual and you are meeting random people that you really would feel stupid spending $100 on when it doesn't go anywhere.

maybe think outside the box if nothing is working. Meet a foreign woman with different values if you can . American women are getting crazier all the time and its hard for some of us to deal with no matter how much psychology we study.

I find some people really interesting and some not so much. Most of the dates I have been on recently from phone apps I wasn't that interested and maybe it was mutual I don't know. There are factors outside of psychology/red pill theory that can be just as significant. I suppose if you're not interested in someone than all the psychology in the world is not going to matter. The last date I had with a woman I was chased out of the house by her pit-bull. It does make you a bit cynical after a whil…

We live in a world of extreme complexity and large institutions where identity and perceived identity often is more important than ability or achievement. And how many times have we been told that this is "progress" and that anyone who wants achievement and ability to matter is living in the past.

that would be a good experiment for any of us to just send them whatever unorthodox words, gifs, or whatever and not care. Its tough to change the mindset of caring about what people think. For the most part none of us would care what a hot woman says even if she says she was just released from a psych ward or prison (for murder) a few hours ago. Most guys would still be interested if she is attractive enough. So I guess words are just words.

a lot of women these days would rather sleep with their dogs than a man. They will send you home so that their dog can join them in bed. The most important things to them are their 1)careers 2) their dog and distant third sex.

I think you have to walk away from bad deals or anything that doesn't work for you regardless of the fall-out. I have trouble with this because I dislike conflict. I give people the benefit of the doubt and then am surprised when they actually are scumbags. A lot of people have an extreme predatory mindset these days especially drug addicts. And there are a lot of drug addicts in the world right now.

yeah I botched one of these recently so bad it should be in high school freshman text books. asked her if she wants to go out next weekend. She says "yes". Then I get swamped by obligations tell her that its 50/50. I tell her I can make it after all. She says "already has plans". I react. Apologize. But its too late to salvage. Women don't change their minds once they write you off.

women don't really understand politics. If you ever talk to them about politics it becomes crystal clear. Of course the psychology of politics is very complicated anyway. I see female dating profiles very frequently now that make some inflammatory statement about "if you voted this way" swipe left. Its absurd on so many levels. But more than anything else it speaks to female entitlement empowerment and their use of arbitrary requirements / deal breakers to write off people that they could possib…

The whole mathematical equation of Tinder / technology has been discussed and how it makes people seem disposable but especially makes men seem disposable. There is not much that can be done about technology. VHS tapes are not coming back. As long as this kind of technology exists women will feel more entitled because older less attractive women will always have dozens of young attractive men pursuing them for sex/one night stands. Even though some of them realize that this "empowerment" is not …

women online have dozens of options at any given time while most guys have a few at a time. You make plans for the weekend she might already go on multiple dates before then and cancel. Or some women are just ambivalent about meeting. Just like some guys are ambivalent about meeting. Maybe find some way to make it fun , or do something different on the date. I am lacking motivation myself. But if people are not responsive on Tinder just move on, they will never come back around.

I disagree that movie dates are bad. Its undeniable that the quality of movies is going down. But for people who are burned out on dating and trying to make small talk with strangers that you have little in common with going to a movie at least makes the whole process somewhat palatable assuming you can find something watchable. You can talk/drink before or after. As far as the thing about "honesty" it just kind of illustrates the difference between men and women. Most men would say that all she…
