Fair enough. But a girl blowing you off shouldn't lead to any type of reaction from you. I suppose it's better than leaving angry voicemails, but it's in the same category.

I agree with everyone who replied to my post. I was merely expressing the general viewpoint of society, which unfortunately looks down upon 23-24 year olds who—god forbid!—live at home. Case in point, anyone who writes for the Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/22/magazine/22Adulthood-t.html

One of the biggest problems with meeting women in clubs is that they put on a radically different social mask than what they normally wear. This mask is bolder, louder, and more sexual than the masks they wear, say, at home on a weekday night or working during the afternoon. When women go to clubs they're locked into a certain attitude of openness and adventure that they don't have most other times. (That's why day game is as a rule trickier than bar/club game.) You can get a woman to make out w…

I could really use some specifics as to how to keep these (and hopefully more) relationships going without getting drawn into something more serious or accidentally leading on one of these ladies and having to disappoint them and make things awkward for our mutual friends. First, make your expectations clear. Let anyone you date know that you came out of a long-term relationship and that you're not looking for anything too serious. Don't tell them this upfront and in so few words, but make sure …

I have to echo reggieband. Many women have deep issues when it comes to their weight. This is something most men will never understand because it's mainly irrational. If a woman uses the tacky "Does this make me look fat?" question it's best to avoid poking fun of her weight, even if you think you're conveying a playful attitude. I'd immediately say no and then neg with a comment about some other aspect of her appearance. Alternatively, you could use self-deprecating humor to mock her obsession …

You doomed yourself for failure. An upscale restaurant isn't an inherently bad place to take a woman on a first date as long as you go for drinks at the bar with perhaps a few appetizers and make it feel casual and spur-of-the-moment. But the traditional 1950s mindset of sitting across from each other at a formal table with flowers in the middle and wearing a tie and formal white collar shirt smacks of being stiff and uptight. The Old Romanticism is dead. You simply cannot survive in the current…

There's no shame in being 20 years old and still living with your parents, especially considering you're a student. I don't believe women are much more impressed with dorm rooms or typical college apartments with dirty dishes and passed out roommates. At your age it's very common and practical to live with your parents—the money you save is worth the social cost of decreased independence. The embarrassment of living at home with your parents is your own making. If you frame your situation confid…
