As someone who is dating a girl from a single parent family, and have many perfectly healthy, successful, and happy friends from single families - MY personal experience says you're dead wrong. It's a matter of how good the parent(s) are at raising their kids. I came from a mother and father family and can tell you that my relationship with my parents (at least my dad) are pretty shitty compared to my girlfriend and her mom.
