Of these I guess I'm weird. Would like a relationship (not hookups) and do reliably get some attention but have given up for now based on the state of women where I am.

Having browsed this sub for about 20 minutes it seems like there's not much debate going on but a lot more people taking turns in abjectly refusing to agree on the definitions of terms. Not that anyone will listen, but consider sticking to your own beliefs instead of posting hallucinations of the other side's.

The entire world is saturated with defeatism now only you're supposed to pin it vaguely on capitalism, patiarchy or white people.

Assuming you meant tinder and not twitter. Tinder and instagram combined make up the bulk of modern sexual encounters outside of college, where the selection pressure is even narrower. On tinder dead accounts and ads are filtered out fairly efficiently.

It is part of it but we no longer have significant child mortality and the advent of contraception lets people put off reproduction indefinitely. Women's completed fertility linearly declines with IQ for example, people who can delay gratification aren't reproducing until their mid 30s (resulting in less fit offspring) and even then at below replacement level, while impulsive people particularly those prone to criminality are the only ones left reproducing in significant numbers, thus the future…

I hope you are right, but I'll believe it when I see it. Modern man is the weakest our species has ever been, and I doubt giving him even less reason to get out of bed in the morning will result in an improvement.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 01:21 PM

Interesting. I wonder if there'd be a difference if controlled for r/k selection theory.

What AI has over all of these examples is that it will eventually replace all users. Who do you think maintains, repairs the AI? The AI will. Women won't manage AI, AI will manage everything. If human maintenance is still required at all it will be a small and specialized field, most men will be out in the cold.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 01:04 PM

The advent of tinder quite literally placed us in a grand-scheme competition though. Now girls in small towns aren't vying for the local man but the top percentiles of the nearest 2 or 3 cities. In addition how does one even attain local status when AI handles everything? Generally male dominance is a show of competence + generosity, but AI will wipe out both metrics.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 12:59 PM

I'm just not sure how it would, I think we'd just get a further amplification of current trends - impulsive people would likely still reproduce while the more disciplined would put it off into infertility or have one kid at 35. In addition if we lose jobs and associated status then those high in intelligence, especially those who are outlier high IQ and tend to be socially awkward as a trade off, would have less avenues to socially signal it and it would fall away even further as a relevant fact…

We haven't had any darwinian selection in about 150 years,
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 11:23 AM

What would AI need to enslave us for? If an AGI went rogue it could make robots for its meatspace tasks. I think more likely it'll view us as mere atoms and wipe us out or ignore us entirely.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 11:22 AM

Dark triad men don't have an advantage when you control for physical attractiveness.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 11:20 AM

Similar to what women look for when they have a female romantic partner. This is an interesting point.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 11:20 AM

What is the point of enslaving people if bots can do all the work for you? I think it's obvious I'm on the anti side of AI but if we're worried about scheming elites I think it'd be more likely they automate away the need for the peons and then let us eat eachother. But I don't think they'd do that, they want us to own nothing and be happy but they genuinely mean the latter. We'll sit in our pods, enjoy the AI generated slop content and dare not think an independent thought. Also a state being s…

Also while I agree collapse is where we're headed I don't think women are to blame, I think we've gone soft in the head across the board. Consider the fact Pankhurst and co. were staunchly right wing and actually wanted the vote because they thought men were voting too liberally. Women lean more into the madness today relative to men only because it's what's socially dominant, not for the innate traits of the madness.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 07:08 AM

I think this is broadly where we'd be going without AI - but AI could give us an eternal cushy existence and allow us to get perpetually more pathetic while insulating us from collapse. I used to think the one way out of the current state of things is a natural civilizational collapse and a subsequent return to conditions that are harsher but much closer to our evolutionary nature, but AI might rob us of even that. As for the fuckbots, I don't know if males will really take to them. Everyone's u…

This is more than a tool because it entirely replaces the user. I'm not sure any job can't be automated, and the ones that hold out the longest won't be able to sustain everyone - we don't need a billion lawyers and a billion dentists.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 06:06 AM

I know you mean well but this comes off as a hollow platitude. Every man has themselves to offer and most people can manage an agreeable personality. How then do we compete with all the other themlseves with decent personalities? Every man you pick is 3.5 billion you didn't. Women are fundamentally attuned to detecting social status and humans overall are prone to post hoc rationalizing. That doesn't mean you have to own a boat, but one's job signals more than just money and an alternate route l…

How do you afford AI stocks when you're born AFTER the AI revolution though? I'm thinking more about the post-AI world rather than the transition, where we currently are. It will theoretically wipe out all high value jobs and leave only menial labor, if even that, and we'd probably need some form of UBI just to stop society collapsing.

It is in our nature to enable 'big men' (the anthropological term in the study of tribes) to have the lion's choice of women. This is true from our most ancient and primitive societies up to the modern day most-developed ones. I don't think its ever not been the case. Even in ultra-prudish Victorian era people turned a knowing blind eye to nobles and their mistresses. The Hebrews strictly enforced monogamy and punished infidelity because its necessary for stability in large groups, especially wh…

This seems more likely to me than it being some intentional psyop. It's just an easy, obvious path to drama in romance. When the story of the relationship is dragged out like on a TV show it's basically inevitable that some writer will go this route. It's also nothing new, classic Hollywood is packed with infidelity stories not to mention Helen of Troy or Lancelot & Guinevere. As for the discrepancy in how male vs female infidelity is depicted, that's just the same old human instinct to selectiv…

This is probably the single most baffling thing to me in all of law. Is paternity fraud not a universal male anxiety? Is banishing the knowledge just how some people deal with uncertainty? If we were actually living in anything resembling a patriarchy then paternity tests would be legal and widely available.

Either solution, even if they are free to think simply program them so doing what their owner wants is maximally fulfilling. Even if you give them freedom they'll stay with you and do as you say. If that sounds oppressive, well, that's already the human condition. Even if you believe in free will (which is imo incoherent) it's obvious we don't choose what our interests are, you don't get to decide what is or isn't fulfilling in life.

I don't know why they have to do this, just outright pretend woman are at least equal to men in every single minuscule aspect. Like, in what way does it matter that women aren't interested Counter Strike? How do they get upset over that? If you can turn that into an issue you truly have nothing to complain about.

I don't think a cologne is necessary. Sweat on an otherwise clean body is the sexiest scent in the world, although this is coming from someone who finds all perfume obnoxious. If you really like your cologne just roll with it I suppose. I would also add a trip to /r/skincareaddiction, even if you think you don't need it. Even the most barebones skincare routine can make a big difference, especially in the long term.

This is just as legitimate as the video its referencing, given the amount of info we get from both. Not that it's really necessary. Walk around anywhere with lots of people for several hours and inevitability some of those people are going to say things, as incredible and terrifying as that apparently sounds.

It's been a long time so point out if I'm wrong but iirc in ancient greece when marriage started dying out entirely eventually bachelors were demonized and a hefty tax put in place to try to force them into marriage. Of course this was also a time when homosexuality was not only fully accepted but fully expected and practiced by most guys, so it's not like they needed sex or companionship from women the way modern men do. It's hard to say if such a thing could happen again, but y'now, humanity g…
