Calling tariffs, one of the most regressive forms of taxation, a tax on the wealthy is hilarious

You’re not thinking big enough. It’s not just for consumers it’s for everything. Even things “made in America” might have the steel or the lumber or whatever sourced from Canada or China. They pay the tariff and then increase the price of the good, passing it on to you. It’s not as simple as buying American. And even if it was, there’s a reason why they don’t make things here. Everything will become more expensive. And I don’t know where you got “no new tariffs”. He’s literally going to implemen…

Whatever tax cuts you’ll think you’ll get from his plan will be wiped out and then some by his proposed tariffs which economists universally agree are terrible policy

Ok sure, but “could be us”?

Men are not allowed to leave the country, which means women are most of the refugees and therefore the primary victims, or something. Just really wish I got an article in my inbox saying “We need to stand up for men and their rights in this conflict. The male gender is not to be used as fodder in wars” In war, the refugees are among the lucky and the living. Men are the primary victims and casualties of war.

That’s my point. Men are forced to be the “badass heroes” (read cannon fodder) while women are evacuated to safety. I think everyone willing and able should aid in Ukraine’s defense. I know I would if my country was invaded. But to forcefully conscript men and not women is literally sexist

This post is about only men being drafted and women saying it’s “demonizing feminism” if you point it out. Don’t really want to talk vaccines

I didn’t say anything to her. This was later to a friend of mine recounting the story. I’m sorry that wasn’t clear. I’m pointing of hypocrisy of the silence of feminism when it Ukraine declared all men to stay and fight

Most ironic part is she is MtF trans, but she’s inadvertently saying that trans men (FtM) aren’t men because she won’t play with men

What she said was ok, but not how she said it. What is annoying about men playing a game they enjoy? And why the “anybody but cis males?” This implies she would play with a FtM trans person but not one born as a man. I thought there was no difference? I thought trans men were men?

There is something to be said about wanting to be friends with people of your own gender, but the way she went about it was very demeaning. She explicitly said she didn’t want to talk to anyone that was a cis male and she found the fact that the game was male dominated ‘annoying’. There should be nothing annoying about men liking a certain game just I don’t find it annoying that knitting is a hobby more common to women. If I wanted to take up knitting, I would not shame women for liking it and h…

I suppose essentially there is nothing wrong with wanting to find people of your own gender to enjoy hobbies together. If I were in her position and enjoyed a female dominant hobby I might seek out other men to do it with (although generally the perceived attitude is that men do ‘female’ hobbies to find women), her tone was really scummy. She was “annoyed” that men enjoyed something? That women didn’t? That’s not anybody’s fault. I would not think it acceptable to post in a yoga subreddit about …

I agree. Sometimes it feels like projection. How can one person know what everybody else finds attractive?

This was a big realization for me. After being on the dating scene for a bit and feeling so much pressure to have interesting conversation starters, have good dates planned, be funny, charming, interesting, and so on. It eventually dawned on me that by putting so much pressure on myself I wasn’t enjoying it. It felt like a job or a chore to entertain my date. Remember, your happiness matters as much as theirs. They should be impressing you just as much as you should be impressing them. This help…

Yeah I wouldn’t want to know the guy or be his friend. Definitely would give the company a bad image too so they definitely had to drop him. I just worry about this being used incorrectly. A group of women can just take out anybody they don’t like. If a guy makes a lot of enemies or has a lot of exes they can just remove him from his corporate position because he sent nudes, cheated on them, and ghosted them.

I just read the bullet points and yes they felt like interpersonal relationships. People like to talk about grooming or using their “authority” to “prey” on women, but I don’t see how they can avoid those things. Hide their identity like a fairytale? Only date people who have no idea of their accomplishments? The women were unfortunately scammed by a guy who was cheating on them, but destroying his career is excessive punishment for infidelity

To elaborate: I might be way wrong but a lot of the grievances brought up were things like “Tests waters for sexual advances”, “Uses self-deprecating statements” and “Positions himself as submissive” which just don’t really seem evil. The last one was particularly strange because it was just ghosting. Do men and women not ghost each other all the time on dating apps and what not? I’m having trouble understanding how such things are sexual harassment. Even reading the whole thing, the parts where…

It’s not like women haven’t called other women sluts as an insult long before it became fashionable for women to do it. This is not a misogynist thing

burden of proof is on y'all, dipshit. These numbers are fucking fake and exaggerated to elicit knee jerk reactions from retards like you. Regardless, even if I'm wrong, it's the wrong fucking subreddit. We are united as men deciding to choose a different path than marriage. That doesn't mean we all need to think the same about shit like this. It has exactly zero relevance

subreddit about men taking control of their own destinies: exists You: wow right wing bullshit sounds like a good idea to post This is why this place is fucking quarantined guys. Can’t we focus on enjoying and experiencing our lives and sharing our ideas of self-designed success, I don’t know, like the sidebar says this subreddit is about. Jesus Christ
