It's men's fault and responsibility for 'the loneliness epidemic'I just think OP was trying to say it's not women's fault and a lot of loneliness can be solved with male camaraderie | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/12/25 07:39 PM
It's men's fault and responsibility for 'the loneliness epidemic'Yes, of course. Die before you even try to make your life better. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/12/25 07:38 PM
It's men's fault and responsibility for 'the loneliness epidemic'The reasons are different but it's the same feeling. Women more often report feeling lonely in relationships than men do, so it's not as simple as finding a partner. A partner can't be the sole person responsible for your emotional wellbeing. That's why men should make friends, so even if their gf sucks, they can still get some sort of support outside the relationship | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/12/25 06:56 PM
It's men's fault and responsibility for 'the loneliness epidemic'It is wrong, I wrote happier than married women instead of single men. The entirety of the debate still stands tho and a single mistake doesn't suddenly make my and OP's argument any less valid. Men should still seek friendships rather than expect all their emotional needs from a partner. It is the easiest thing for them to incorporate and should be the grounds for fixing the lonliness epidemic | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/12/25 06:47 PM
It's men's fault and responsibility for 'the loneliness epidemic'I get what you’re saying, but the stats of women being lonely is still due to emotional emptiness. The studies are typically of older women too. Single women are statistically happier than single men, married men are oftentimes happier than single men, but single women are happier than married women. Women’s default is having friends to lean on and a man is a hopeful addition to her life. I’m simply reading statistics that state women are more likely to admit they’re lonely than men. This is a s… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/12/25 03:51 PM
It's men's fault and responsibility for 'the loneliness epidemic'This is the quote, “The experience that you have gone through is in many ways comparable to what happens with domestic violence. Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat. Women often have to flee from the only homes they have ever known. Women are often the refugees from conflict and sometimes, more frequently in today’s warfare, victims. Women are often left with the responsibility, alone, of raising the children. Women ar… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/12/25 03:29 PM
It's men's fault and responsibility for 'the loneliness epidemic'Men and women are different. You can literally google why women are more lonely than men and it’ll tell you women are more emotionally vulnerable to admit they’re lonely among other reasons like living alone after a partner or not being fulfilled inside relationships. It’s not because they have friends, so acting like more friends = more loneliness is just intentionally missing the point. Men who feel lonely are usually single with no friends, so the easiest starting point is to make friends ins… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/12/25 02:55 PM
It's men's fault and responsibility for 'the loneliness epidemic'And men who have raped and abused women getting a legal slap on the wrist. And most politicians having SA cases but we automatically assume the woman is lying unless she has a time stamped recording of the interaction or a DNA test. Or even all the celebrities who have been charged for assault and battery against their female partner. Violence against women is seen as excusable but we supposedly draw the line when women are offended? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/12/25 02:38 PM
It's men's fault and responsibility for 'the loneliness epidemic'What small innocuous things are we talking about? The US has a president who says the grossest of things. We have men making millions doing the same. We have men who abuse, stalk, and rape women getting a slap on the wrist instead of jail time. What things are women offended about that they shouldn’t be? Also, wouldn’t you want women’s feelings to be considered more than men’s since you’re antifeminist? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/12/25 02:31 PM
The days of men cold approaching random women in streets, malls, and grocery stores left and right are long gone and will never come back.I never said they weren’t attractive for their age. I said they’re not in the demographic of women who get hit on in public so sure they might miss it. That doesn’t mean when the rest of us get older we will too because we have different means of getting external validation. It’s hard for them to find a partner at all, so obviously it’d be nice to know it’s not because they’re ugly | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/12/25 02:18 PM
The days of men cold approaching random women in streets, malls, and grocery stores left and right are long gone and will never come back. That’s a different dynamic. They’re older and probably feel like they aren’t objectively attractive anymore. I hardly doubt they post themselves online, so the only form of flattery often comes from family/friends which can be said is subjective and bias. They also grew up during a time when the only form of external validation was in person. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/12/25 05:58 AM
Women ghost because it's convenient, not because they're afraid of men getting violentI think this reflects the violence that OP was talking about. I’ve ghosted men and women. It’s not because I was afraid of any individual man (or girl friend), but I definitely wouldn’t say the quiet part out loud unless I knew I was safe. This doesn’t mean all men scare me, but if a fight escalated, I wouldn’t be able to defend myself. The standard is err on the side of caution with people physically bigger and stronger than you. So I think women learn to remove ourselves from situations first … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/12/25 07:02 PM
