I would recommend a journal. I have friends that I've had for 20 years and there are still things that I don't feel like I can tell them and have them take me seriously. There are certain people that I can confide in but they are few and far between. Writing it makes it more permanent in your memory and checking frequently to see if you are on "schedule" is probably an even better idea

I have a similar mentality. I've never wanted to manipulate others or be manipulated by others but the reality is simply this. Everyone, no matter how they think they act, is manipulating the world to their own worldview. Although I would agree with you ideally you are, in your own way, still trying to change the worldview of people that read your post. It's a weird fact, but it's true.
