You ought to work towards building a meaningful life for yourself. Over the long haul, things will come together. But to aim towards retirement at 30 is foolish, especially since the second chapter of your life doesn't start until 40.

As someone in the 7 figure net range, money goes fast and boredom is unavoidable. The cure to life's misery is not to chip away at a nest egg and do nothing. Retirement is hell. My parents have been retired for 5 years and they are bored out of their mind. A man needs a purpose, and money goes quick.

Retiring early is dumb. Working at finding purpose in life.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
