| 1 | I wish I could be attracted to ugly girls.Tastes in body type vary over the decades, not the millenia. That's not evolution, that's culture. Here's a 17th century painting of the goddess of love and beauty. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Paul_Rubens#mediaviewer/File:Rubens_Venus_at_a_Mirror_c1615.jpg Most on this forum would call her a landwhale. 1000 years ago, the height of Japanese beauty standard was to blacken their teeth, shave off their eyebrows and wear clothing that disguised any hint of hips or breasts. There are some univ… | /r/TheRedPill | 12/08/14 04:05 PM |
| 1 | Is TRP falsifiable?You're calling everyone else in here dumb and I'm the one insulting everyone? | /r/TheRedPill | 02/08/14 07:56 PM |
| -1 | Is TRP falsifiable?A lot of people here seem to have found this to be an interesting discussion. I'm sorry you feel otherwise. | /r/TheRedPill | 02/08/14 03:54 PM |
| -2 | Is TRP falsifiable?Do you accept that argument? If so, do you also accept it for scientology and crystal healing? | /r/TheRedPill | 02/08/14 03:43 PM |
| 6 | Is TRP falsifiable? Not at all. I simply don't accept "If it didn't work nobody would stay" since we can all point to claims that don't really work but people do stay with them. | /r/TheRedPill | 02/08/14 03:10 AM |
| 12 | Is TRP falsifiable? There are tons of people in various pickup communities. Millions of people buy "the secret". Tons of people are incredibly invested in philosophies built entirely on bullshit. We could say the same about scientology. | /r/TheRedPill | 01/08/14 10:46 PM |
| -2 | Is TRP falsifiable? You're arguing about the practicalities of testing a a falsifiable hypothesis in your first paragraph, not whether or not it is possible. It clearly is possible with a large enough sample size and correctly managed controls. Right, but I addressed that in my OP. After it's established that a claim is falsifiable, the next step is to attempt to falsify it. Your second paragraph though presents more of a problem i.e. attribution, but the counter argument is that attribution doesn't need to be prov… | /r/TheRedPill | 01/08/14 07:59 PM |
| -1 | Is TRP falsifiable?I think that's generally valid, but it seems to me that the way individuals investigate these sexual strategies through personal field research isn't rigorous enough to falsify. Neither the targets nor the user of the strategies are controlled, much less blinded, samples aren't large enough for any particular experiment and aren't created to avoid sample bias. But I also must admit, I'm thinking more about the psychological about specific gendered dimorphism claims underlying TRP than the effect… | /r/TheRedPill | 01/08/14 07:45 PM |
| 0 | Is TRP falsifiable? As a whole, yes, but it's based on a few truth claims about the world. TRP makes claims specifically about the behavior and psychology of women. Those aren't philosophical claims. | /r/TheRedPill | 01/08/14 07:38 PM |

| 1 | Rape lies (theory). This works from an assumption that rape is a result of sexual frustration and that getting laid would eliminate it. This is not in evidence | /r/TheRedPill | 12/05/14 09:57 PM |
| -1 | Supporting Single Mothers - BetaWhat does it benefit me for my genes to "live on"? I'm dead, I derive no benefit from the continued existence of my genetic material. The only effect it may have on me is give me the warm fuzzies while I'm still alive. But personally, that doesn't motivate me much. In terms of emotional rewards (which, again, is the only kind of reward that exists in this scenario) it's far more valuable to me that a young person continues with ideas and values I taught them. That's far more valuable to me than … | /r/TheRedPill | 26/04/14 06:59 AM |
