What you're describing is the "dark triad." It's not the negative aspects specifically that women are attracted to. It's the combination of them adding up to a mirage that looks like competence. The three traits that make up the dark triad are Narcisism, Machiavelianism, and Psychopathy. Individually, the negative aspects of these traits are immediately recognizable and overwhelm their advantages. Combined, however, the strengths of one conceal the weaknesses of the other and create the illusion…

You're not reading the rest of the statement, which answers the most important question: Why? The answer is confidence. A highly attractive man has the attitude of comfortable confidence that is the real attractive trait. He's not clingy, he's not insecure, he's not jealous, he's authentic. If you can get into that mindset, the attraction will follow. The reason she says that top tier men achieve this is because it's a difficult concept to even articulate, much less perfect. If you brainstorm yo…

I'm not offering arguments because you're not making one. You're just flinging insults at women in general in a painfully transparent temper tantrum disguised as red pill. Women are no different from men in that we all grow and mature mentally and emotionally throughout life. Different people have different paces, and sometimes people are forced to grow up in a hurry due to a change in another part of their life, IE what you described. But if that's all you're finding, you're looking in the wron…

Your demonstrated levels of cynicism don't warrant thorough discussion, because your world view is so thoroughly distorted that you wouldn't see the answers placed directly in front of you. To you, nearly every single woman is a rabid slut devoid of any sort of morals and only "comes around" to most men in their 30's after they've hit the wall. This is demonstrative of your crippling lack of real world experience. Get off reddit and go meet people. Make friends. Until you do that, you're hopeles…

One factor that few red pillers ever acknowledge is women's maturity level as they age. A 21 year old sorority girl isn't the same person as she is 10 years later, and her behavior is going to change accordingly. Unfortunately, men and women are remaining immature longer these days, so women aren't learning the important lessons about dating until after they need them.

2 things: Authenticity. Women spend a lot of time working on how to spot fakes, and they get really good at it. So change your mindset to be someone who is unapologetically you. If that means you're not an interesting or dateable person, then work on improving yourself and cultivating interests and hobbies. Target selection. Don't just approach every attractive woman you see, that's never going to lead you anywhere. Find out the kind of woman you want (and consequently the kind who is most likel…

The best advice I ever got about dating was to add conversational elements in layers. The example I got was to start with funny, then add in emotional (IE hopes, aspirations, ideals), and then flirting/innuendo last. Don't progress from one stage to the next until she is comfortable with you at the stage you're currently at.

There's a reason why in murder trials the case is always named "The People of the State of (insert state here) vs (Defendant.)" Not victim vs defendant, or victim's family vs defendant, the people. Because even when we don't know the victim, someone murdering them harms us indirectly as well as the victim directly. Men deserve a voice in the matter, because it's a matter of justice.

At that point, isn't this just prostitution? I could somewhat see an argument for a man not needing to put in much effort if he's really attractive / endowed. I don't particularly agree with it, but at least those things are associated with sex. Strictly saying that you're rich and providing a luxury lifestyle as an excuse to put no effort into your sexual relationship though is a one sided transaction. Sex life is separate from the other mundane aspects of a relationship. Sex is something the t…

I'm reminded of a John Wayne quote: "Life's tough. It's tougher if you're stupid." I would say that at the very least, dating is no easier than a 3 even for the man who has it all. He still needs to put in the effort to not be a disgusting slob/off-putting asshole. No amount of height or cheekbone structure is going to save you if you're an unemployed cheeto scarfing couch potato. Take away the looks advantage and you're at least to a 5. You can still get it done relatively easily if you have a …

There's nothing provided by prostitution as far as physical need that can't be had by porn, masturbation, and exercise. Prostitution is nothing more than expensive masturbation. There is no real intimacy, there is no companionship. You know full well that the woman you're having sex with is being rented by the hour, and her interest in you is contingent on feeding the meter. When all is said and done, you haven't improved your self esteem or built a healthy relationship. You've paid a lot of mon…

There's the likely reason, and the cynical take on it. In all likelihood, you haven't demonstrated to them that you're both interested in and ready for a relationship. What do you talk to these women about? Are you a stable person, both emotionally and financially? Do you have a plan for what you want in life? If your friends are mature adults, they'll be thrilled to introduce you as long as they think you're the right man for their friend. You may not be interested in any of them romantically, …

But assuming the goldilocks "just right" level of confidence is rare, which side would a woman choose to err on? Would she put up with some cockiness so long as he has the confidence she wants?

That's such an understatement that it borders on outright falsehood. Women have not served in combat roles in the military until very recently (barring desperate last stands), and even now they still comprise less than 2% of all military casualties.

The more I read of men's struggles on this forum (assuming they're being 100% honest and not just lying to themselves, which is going to be a lot of them), the more I get the sense that there's a lot of them looking at things the wrong way. Life isn't an equation to solve. In ages past being able to provide for someone may have been enough for them to be attracted to you. But that's long gone. A woman who wants a relationship (I'm leaving casual sex out of this) wants someone who brings somethin…

Fighting and dying in war for starters. All men between 18 and 65ish were barred from fleeing Ukraine after Russia invaded and effectively drafted. The decades of relative peace have convinced far too many people that the world is this nice idyllic place where everyone can get along and men aren't slaughtered by the thousands and dumped in a mass grave.

If you're only willing to put in the work to get laid, that is in and of itself misleading. The term I most commonly hear is internally motivated: What kind of person are you in your natural state without any other influences? Granted, there will be some variability, IE how you act in large groups of people vs small amounts of close friends. But if you only shave regularly, dress up, wear cologne, etc. in order to please others, you likely won't keep that up a few years into the relationship.

In a way, this comment helps diagnose the problem. If you're putting in all this work for the sole purpose of finding someone to have a relationship with, then that's something you need to constantly maintain and have an incentive to stop once you get what you want. This kind of thinking is a huge red flag for women, since most are used to falling for men who put on a mask that won't last and then turning into someone else entirely down the line. The kind of man who women are most attracted to a…

I say don't flirt and don't play favorites so that someone you might be interested in doesn't get defensive. Even playful flirting or paying too much attention before she gets a good sense for who you are will put you in her dating bucket, and at that point everything you do could be fake. You're trying to make it at least appear like you're not actively trying to pursue a relationship, because someone with that specific motivation can put on a mask and be someone else until they get what they w…

You're looking at all this the wrong way, and a lot of men fall into the same trap. You're treating qualities and actions as a box to check off to get a woman to want you, but that's not how it works. That line of thinking produces a result that inevitably comes off as fake. In a relationship, women want to see and understand what kind of person you genuinely are. The easiest way to do this is to go to group social events with no ambitions of trying to find someone to date. Don't flirt with anyo…

If you're looking to find someone you'd like to have a relationship with, then slow and steady wins the race. Understand that the women who are interested in cheap thrills and casual sex are very different from the ones who want a committed relationship. There is little overlap of those two philosophies, though over time a woman may shift from one to the other. If you're after a relationship, you'll want to look for social groups with regular meetings where everyone participates with everyone el…

Not necessarily a disagreement, but I think there is a common scenario that is distinctly different from what you present. There is chemistry, she's into you, she gives you her number, but when the excitement dies down she gets cold feet based on a lack of any connection other than in person attraction. This happens all the time, and if you want to avoid it, don't escalate so fast. Establish a friendly connection first instead of a sexual one and she will be more likely to want to hang out with …

I think he has some wires crossed or a piece of the puzzle missing. Shares of household chores only ever come into play when you're living together. Now, maybe, maybe if he's taking her out to expensive dinners and such that she enjoys but can't afford on her own, it might be appropriate to do something nice for him to show appreciation like cooking breakfast or changing the sheets.

At least as far as married couples are concerned, ownership is a nebulous idea. You both live in the same house, presumably eat the same food (or close to it), use the same appliances/furniture, go to the same doctors, etc. That's going to be a fairly strong majority of the household income already, so how exactly is she supposed to own 50%?

I satiate my sexual needs with porn, escorts, and sugar babies. This is why. You're using your newfound self betterment not to pursue a relationship that you can be happy with, but to supplant it with hookers. This is a hollow and meaningless existence that serves no purpose but to give you a dopamine hit. Pushing this as something someone else should follow is disgusting.

Face it women are just pickier than men about looks. On tinder where they are outnumbered by orders of magnitude and men have no standards? Duh. That's because they can be, and in some cases must be. In real life though? Where the overwhelming majority of people still interact? That problem shrinks tremendously. On tinder though, the women get bored, scared off, or taken off the market so to speak at a much higher rate than the men. So you have a negative feedback loop on the female side and a p…

The key distinction here is that it was 80% of tinder profiles they rated as below average. It's entirely possible, if not likely, that tinder is acting as a selection filter for men with subpar looks/style/grooming/fitness vs the general population.

Women are generally raised to care more about their appearance than men. They spend a far greater amount of their time on average learning how to do their hair, makeup, wardrobe, how to take selfies, etc than men do on similar things. Ask yourself this: When was the last time you watched a video on mens fashion or applied some kind of skin care product? If the answer is longer than 24 hours ago, you're behind the curve vs most women.

Women are not a monolith. There's not one cookie cutter all women come out of. They may have a fair amount of overlap here and there, but they can have wildly differing views on any number of topics. https://ifstudies.org/blog/who-cheats-more-the-demographics-of-cheating-in-america Also, the cheating rate only evens out among the youngest age bracket. I've always found surveys like that to be inherently flawed. It offers no means of measuring against a control, gives no explanation as to why the women rated each man as below average, and doesn't explain their methodology of selecting a representative sample of men. It's entirely possible that those very same men could lose some weight, gain some muscle, upgrade their wardrobe, improve their grooming, and shift those results dramatically. We don't know for sure that's the case though, because …

The same reason women generally don't date like men do. They generally get greater satisfaction from companionship than from quick flings.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 06:54 PM

Depends on whether the woman understands the difference between passion and companionship. The kind of women you're describing think that the fading of passion in their relationship is an indication that something is wrong and that the whole thing was a mirage. They search for someone else to spark what she once had not knowing that no matter who she finds, it will always end the same way. Social groups are designed for making new friends. If you are seriously having trouble making friends in that kind of environment, you need to work on your basic social skills and forget about dating. You're in the remedial math class trying to bitch about calculus.

If you're asking women out before you know them and they know you, don't be surprised if you get a lot of rejections. Dating someone means being vulnerable to them, both physically and emotionally. Convincing a woman to put aside her concerns and fears and become vulnerable to you in such a short time is naturally going to require that you be such an obvious match that she can't risk saying no. Selection bias. If you're looking in places where people are obsessed with tiktok, that's what you're going to find. Join a book club, a church group, a bar crawl posse, a cooking class, whatever floats your boat. Meet people outside your current circle.

I feel like this is selection bias. And it's the same trap I fell into not too long ago. Tinder is a self selection filter for people who are either very shallow and only looking for sex (thus only swiping based on physical features) or those who can't navigate real life and resort to dating apps to meet people. I say this as someone who had spent several years thinking that the dating app world was a fair representation of the general dating pool and as a result stayed single much longer than I…

You're looking at this from a deductive point of view, IE trying to start at the top and work your way down. This is more of an inductive problem, namely many problems in societal trends that are demonstrably bad, which when considered all together indicates a decay in societal fabric.

There's no one definition unless you go broad to the point of being non-descriptive. But in this case, the level of fatherlessness in the US at least (and probably elsewhere too) is alarming. You don't have to have a ton of muscle for it to throw the BMI off. I'm 6'1, and according to BMI my ideal weight is 185 pounds. I can tell you right now, if I were to drop to 10% body fat, even not having done any serious weight training in months, I would still be over 210-220. The BMI would consider that overweight, even though I'd have the figure of a Greek God.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/22 10:08 PM

I agree with your point, but I don't think it's quite as dire as you point out. The BMI is very much miscalibrated, as it only takes weight and height into account and pays no attention to muscle mass. Body fat percentage would be a much better metric to track, but that requires specialized equipment to accurately measure.

In the sense that women are not being forced into relationships they are unhappy with, absolutely. But that can be accomplished without the carefree disposable romantic partner attitude towards sex these days. There can be a middle ground between arranged marriages and randomized orgies. Where women have definitely not benefitted is from the enormous rise in single motherhood, divorce rates, depression, etc. I'd argue that in their zeal to be rid of the old way, women charged headlong into somet…

This is my take on it. Context matters, and it's not as much about the n-count as it is your pattern of relationships. If you've been in a series of serious relationships, it says something very different than whoring your way around a frat house and a proverbial little black book. I can trust that the former woman wants a relationship and will be faithful. I can't trust the latter woman not to cheat on me and use me for my money.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/22 06:29 PM
2

Trust is the key difference here. If you fully trust that the woman you marry is done with bad boys and wants to settle down with a nice man and raise a family, then there's really nothing wrong with the idea of getting it out of your system early, provided there are no STDs or psychological trauma involved. But if you're the cautious or suspicious type, it's difficult to trust that a woman who has a years long track record establishing who she is attracted to sexually is ready to give that up f…
