Because if a teacher physically touches a student they can get fired, and many of the administrators in these inner city schools are absolute trash that don't care that their classrooms are basically zoos and that kids aren't learning anything.

Yep. If a detective purposefully withheld evidence he should be smoked. He should never work as. Law enforcement officer ever again and every single conviction based on his evidence should be reviewed. This isn't a sex issue, it's one of basic morality.

To be honest, in practical terms I support a male only draft because I can't comprehend the devastation of our military that would be required to NEED another draft, and thus, I wouldn't want to put our military through the trouble of dealing with equal opportunity bullshit and segregation between men and women literally just taken off the street. With all men, it cuts through the bullshit. It's absolutely unfair in peace time of course, but in practice it's one less thing they would need to dea…

So he agrees with due process unless it is someone: Buying a firearm. Getting a carry permit. Buying ammunition. Transporting a firearm peacefully through his state. Buying a magazine holding 11 rounds. Having sex with a drunk person. Makes sense to me.

Sentencing, Judge Gregory Perrins told Henshaw-Bryan her actions could have killed the victim, and that she must have been aware of the risk her dangerous driving presented to him. 'This was a calculated attempt to run him over and use your car as a weapon,' he added. "But I'm not gonna charge you with that because the consequences don't matter quite that much to you having a vagina and all."

Prof awkwardly moved on from there, and I went with it because we have a really great relationship. After class she said she totally agreed with me, because she was born in China, and she and her family fled to the Philippines before finally settling in America. She saw first hand what human disposability was and what has been happening in the US since with male disposability and said she is just as disgusted as I was.

Had to talk about female genital mutilation in my nursing class last week, and it was universally hated by everybody and we all agreed that we loved it was illegal here. Then half the class looked at me in disgust when I said I wished the same protections were in place for males. "Umm... like, I don't think so. It's the parents' kid. They should decide that I think."

This. Circumcision used To be a vital part of the faith, however it was a part of the old covenants. Christ fulfilled the Law, and took it upon Himself. None of the old law needs to be followed and lived by for salvation, and it is blasphemy to try and live by that old law for salvation.

It's really incredible that I had this same talk with my father, and right after he got done talking about how bad female circumcision is, he turned on me and dared him to talk badly about circumcision because he's the one that called for mine and it's "in the Bible." Even though we are a devout Christian family, and the Apostle Paul mentions pretty regularly in his writings that circumcision is no longer required in the new Covenant and doing so in the name of riteousness is sin.

Don't forget the Marines ran a 3 month scientific test that proved women in combat roles would be less effective than men in every capacity in both mixed gender and female only squads. Maybus took this info...And authorized it anyway, because he said he knew better....Than actual combat veteran Marines. Then again the jackass was also going to remove the Navy rate system. The system in which you are trained for a specific job like damage control, or radar operating, or refueling, in the name of …

Analysis with no study is considered the lowest level of research and information in medical circles for quality control in instituting changes to the standard of care. Double blind randomized testing is the gold standard. For example I couldn't just use wikipedia to try and get my hospital to stop using heparin because some surveys say it causes strokes. But if I want to see if placebo sugar pills work as well as zofran and do a survey where neither I or the patients know what they are getting,…

Essentially yes. It was raw data they were analyzing themselves. They didn't initially collect the data. They analyzed data that already existed.

I've had my RN I've been assigned to during clinicals in BSN school try to report me because I refused to give my patient a dose of prn oxy...Because I'd already given it to him 20 minutes ago and documented it. She just didn't trust I'd logged it in the MAR right despite my preceptor reviewing and marking it correctly.

I've been officially labeled a sexist by my former aunt (She was married to me uncle, divorced him because she didn't want to help pay his medical bills), because I talked about some studies that claimed male nurses were faster, and performed less medication errors than female nurses.

There are different levels of scientific information. By double blind I mean neither the researcher nor the test subject knew the nature of the experiment. As this was simply analyzing other data with a set objective in mind, it was not double blind, or even single blind. It is data gathered and analyzed for another purpose.

"Did we really need a study to tell us this?" That was what one of my colleagues said on Facebook the day this study, from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Oh so she's a sexist then, believing the supremacy of women just because they are women? Not only does this study have potentially wide-reaching health implications, but it might also help push the needle for gender equality in medicine further. So I'm sure she is definitely going to push to fix the gender gap in nursing, in which on…

That these same people claim that infant circumcision is okay because "babies can't feel the pain", claim that abortion is okay because "fetuses don't feel pain until they are born/third trimester" makes it equally laughable.

There is a decreased risk of cancers in that area apparently, and legitimately, older man often need to get them due to medical issues later in life like tissue fusing and hygiene. I mean it is still stupid, "Your daughter might have problems with her ovaries, you should remove them" would go over about as well as claiming there are two genders if you posted in the comments on Salon or Jezebel with that mindset, but there is in current medical practice, a reason for it.

We've established this: free speech is protected....calls to action are not. If I say "I hate all purple people" that is free speech. If I say "That purple person is a murderer, go beat the crap out of him" and someone actually does, I can be held liable. That is comparable to what this girl did, and she is now facing the consequences.
