Like you l, I see the (mostly) positive outcomes of being more outwardly feminine but I fail to truly understand what value it adds to the world. Sure, you’re more confident and people treat you better when you dress better but it feels so shallow. Sure, household chores need to get done but being excited about them (or even fulfilled by them, yikes) just feels like playing house to me. But also while I like “dolling up” for my SO it’s certainly not a requirement for intimacy. He’ll get after me…

True, but instead of merely being disinterested, he views the community as a “toxic ideology” based on a grain of truth. I had to commit to stop sending him RP articles because it was irritating.

Same. Which is ironic since he naturally has a lot of redpill traits and beliefs.

“It is extremely rare that women experience this phase since western society is built from the ground up to cater to a woman's every need.” As a woman, I’ve never left the anger/depression phase of TRP but you’re right that it’s very rare.

“I strongly suspect this to be a troll post,” I understand that this sub was/is frequented by trolls and journalists writing oversimplified hit pieces but it’s still striking to me how many posts get labeled trolling when I think they seem very genuine. Like any time TRP isn’t resulting in 100% domestic submissive bliss for a woman she must be trolling? I remember one old post in particular which described my views almost exactly but everyone in the comment section was 99% sure she was a troll. …

I remember my mom telling me to sit in chairs more “ladylike” instead of squirming and hanging my legs over the arms like kids do. She also would remark “I thought I gave birth to a little girl, not a boy” when I got into games in high school. I can’t say I appreciated the advice.

“idk where you're getting this idea that RPers conflate femininity with modern feminism.” Redpill considers feminism a direct result of female hypergamy. Hypergamy is so natural a part of female nature (femininity) that the only way it’s kept in check is if men keep it in check. So feminism is a natural outgrowth of femininity.

I think nagging can to some degree be a personal choice though. I’ve always been the roommate that takes out the trash, everywhere I’ve lived. Why? I don’t know. Maybe cause girls just don’t like to do it? But no matter what the trash would be filled to the brim, my roommates would throw cereal boxes that obviously wouldn’t fit on top, etc. If I didn’t take it out, it would continue to overflow. It used to bug me so much, until I had a change of attitude in general that goes something like “it’s…

I’ve spent untold hours beating myself up for being a pathetic female within the AWALT framework you describe, even if I didn’t exactly see those traits in my own life. But what I came to realize is that what we’re inclined or tempted to do and what we decide to do are two different things. If you’re doing it right, as you get older you should be more level-headed and capable of making good decisions for your future, and not just fucking it all up on an impulse. Basically: personal responsibilit…

So basically both, in addition to several other factors, and excluding sociopathy.
/r/RedPillWomen14/04/19 10:56 PM

Also I’m curious: you seem to be implying female hypergamy is directly or indirectly responsible for lone-wolf male mass shooters. Are you saying undesirable beta males or incels are redirecting their anger about not getting laid into a destructive rampage? Or are you saying female hypergamy contributes to single motherhood in various ways which has a negative impact on boys who may then become antisocial and violent (based on your Peterson link)?

I think I understand that you’re saying the redpill toolbox may be amoral but that doesn’t mean members of the community don’t have certain morals. Totally fair, however... From the RPW community info: “RPW does not endorse a moral stance.”

Sorry, what I meant was, reigning in a lot of the “I’m this age and he’s that age and we’ve been together for this long and this happened or didn’t happen what do I do???” posts. It would make sense that any request for relationship advice and the responses to it would be delivered through a primarily RP lens. But lately some of them seem like very general or even (what I thought was) blue pill advice. But hey I’ve never been a mod of anything so developing more rules about relationship advice p…

That’s interesting since I think the community officially describes itself as “amoral.”
/r/RedPillWomen13/04/19 12:59 AM

That’s fair. Part of the reason I’m here is to understand how to be a better partner, but the bigger reason is that a large amount of time is occupied by thinking about dynamics between the sexes and trying to understand what exactly femininity is (contrary to feminism’s conception of femininity) and my place in this world as a woman. So I tend to favor as broad a conversation as possible. However I do understand the concern that allowing rampant criticism of TRP would unfocus the subreddit. Per…

Yup! I don’t know anything about Jocko but I was getting “fitness” from the thumbnail which made me think of Emily. She definitely exudes healthy happiness.
/r/RedPillWomen02/04/19 12:36 AM

I guess for some reason I got the impression from the fascinating womanhood series (chapter 6 in particular I think) that if you’re not devoting yourself to your man 100% of the time in every way you’re not being the partner you could be. Maybe I could dispel with some of that absolutist interpretation by reading the full chapter.

For women who are SAHMs and/or have successful RP marriages: did you ever feel passionately about something related to a career or hobby, or has building a family always been your #1 goal?

I started following emilybreeze on Instagram after a video of her doing a full workout while 8 months pregnant went viral. She’s done that with both of her pregnancies and is on her third now. She posts mainly about her routine and her kids and she’s got a huge grin on her face the entire time.

Until recently I never had a good work ethic when it came to exercise. You kind of have to just do SOMETHING like run around the block after work and gradually it will get easier to push yourself to try new things. The game changer for me was this boxing class my friend invited me to my last year of college. I’d recommend doing some kind of hour-long cardio/strength training class a couple times a week at your university, work gym, the Y, or anywhere else that has really cheap fees. Not only wil…

It just occurred to me those brands actually are on the casual side, but they’re the first association with “quality” that popped into my head and they have a variety of things- jeans, blouses, dresses, accessories, etc.

How your peers dress matters. I didn’t take an interest in fashion or my daily appearance until I was surrounded by friends who did. It also helped when I started working in an office and had to learn how to dress business casual. Whereas I once felt uncomfortable in anything more than jeans and a T-shirt, I soon started to feel like a slob.

I’ve been lurking around the manosphere for something like 8 years now and I do have to point out something I’ve noticed. The redpill, like any community, has three things: the sidebar, the top contributors, and the peanut gallery. Like it or not, all three of these components contribute to what the community is on a whole, both internally and to people observing it from the outside. Now how each of those groups is weighted is unclear to me, but they all have influence. You can say that the redp…

Physical attraction is never 100% of the story. If it were, you’d never see that happy elderly couple because people would just divorce when they start getting old and fat. One of the best (and hardest) pieces of relationship advice I’ve gotten is that love is a choice. I think often when partners cheat or leave long term relationships or marriage, there are other factors involved besides raw attraction to someone else.

So are you also skeptical of what men say? If so there may not be a problem. Or is it different when a woman says it? Like it’s more than just skepticism.

I mean I don’t know what everyone’s relationship is like. In my own, neither of us has to do much begging or pleading of the other for simple gestures like you say, but maybe that’s because we’re not married and haven’t had enough years to develop some cabin fever. But I guess if I’m not willing to generalize about people’s personal relationships I shouldn’t generalize about broader societal things like the distribution of the sexes in various careers either.

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but I’m not sure you understood Peterson correctly. I’ve seen that same lecture and he was referring to women being more prone to negative emotion and worrying more in general because they have to be more sensitive to the needs of a hypothetical child, NOT that they have the nervous systems OF a child. You seem to have confused his wording with the red pill belief that women are more or less children (which I think is stated in their constitution somewhere).

Sorry for the brief response but see, this is what I can’t get over either. We live in an age where women are supposed to be capable and independent, but simultaneously protected (i.e. he gets the check, holds doors open, etc.). People ask why only 10% of CEOs are women but no one is asking why there aren’t more female plumbers or constructions workers. I can’t reconcile it.

I think most redpillers would argue that’s not what the philosophy is about, and maybe rightly so, but I think when young girls come into contact with this ideology, especially if they don’t have much self-worth to begin with, that’s how it manifests. The same thing happened to me and I still struggle with thinking of myself as an individual and not just part of a group.

I know the compare/contrast list is probably very general, but why is liking the outdoors a dealbreaker?? Camping is probably my fiancé’s and my favorite activity together and I don’t just tag along for him. If I didn’t like the outdoors, that would probably make me less attractive to him.

Like I said, because it’s about as far down the rabbit hole as you can go. You know when you might start saying something ironically, until it’s become enough a part of your speech that it’s not ironic anymore? The more your browse something “just to see” or “just to make fun of them” the more toxic it becomes, because you are absorbing some of it. I’ve posted here before but I deleted. For me, it started with the website menarebetterthanwomen.com in high school. I don’t think it’s been updated in years. I slowly went down the rabbit hole until I hit rock bottom (r/Incels) last year and then I tried to stop. I think for me it’s an excuse for self-loathing. Like all my problems are due to the horrible, awful, weak, sex I was born with. But it has a horrible affect on me and I should stop...which brings me here. It does produce a sort of dou…

A homeless man in Austin asked me if I could spare a few dollars for a hot cup of coffee. I said I didn't have cash but I offered him the brand new coffee in my hand. He said no thanks, he was looking for a specific kind. Probably was going to hit up the Starbucks down the street.

I've always held doors open for people or offered them a jacket, scarf, etc because I was taught it was polite, whoever they are. I've had some men go out of their way to let me walk through the door first even if I held it open, or walk closer to the street, etc. I usually just say "oh, thanks..." I don't expect it, but if they insist I won't blow up at them.
