Not at all. This already happens. Y'all just think it's some sort of slight that only y'all experience. It isn't. Men just don't complain about it.

What are his values? What does he want in life? All you've listed are career and educational attributes. You haven't described a person, you've described a series of functions and advantages.

They had to persuade a man to marry her Then why is the "traditional" norm for men to approach and court the woman? If that's how our grandparents and their parents were doing things, at what point were women supposedly doing this persuading of men? How did that look? What were women doing to persuade men to marry them?

Basically women can't do anything without being judged Right, because everything men do is exalted by women. having a collection of romance novels, You mean smut? Pornographic literature? I get the sense that some guys similarly find this sort of media consumption judgement worthy Similar to how women feel about sports fandoms, Warhammer, video games etc never said women are doing this for you. What reason would men have to think that women were doing these things for us? How would women do thes…

It's not that hard. This is the part that bugs me. Most of the women who have the audacity to use this sentence have absolutely no fucking idea what they're talking about because they have never done this, and by complaining about men not approaching them they are outright proving that they would never do this. So how on Earth would they know how hard it is? It's actually very insulting to make this assertion. And it shows the complete lack of empathy involved in this complaint. They just want t…

No it won't. Women will keep choosing to have sex and keep finding their own way to deal with pregnancy regardless of the availability of clinical abortions.

I see extremely little empathy from red pill men to the challenges women face. You actually aren't saying it to everyone. You only took the time to specifically call out men, while paying lip service to the idea that everyone needs to empathize with each other. But you make no specific effort to call women out on their luck of empathy for men. You imply at multiple points that women already empathize with men, which is more often not the case. But because you implied this, you can make the claim…

So why is it a bad thing when women do it ? Because in either scenario the man is typically the one who has to take initiative of any kind. But, essentially, if you're not the hot guy, you're going to have to take a lot more initiative to get to the same point that Randy Rando just walks up to. This has real, tangible costs for men as well as the emotional toll of dealing with the fact that the woman doesn't actually like you, but it willing to saddle you with the privilege of having to prove th…

She sings about how men here expect women to split the bill, but her beauty routine should recuse her from having to so Why should someone's personal grooming routine ever exempt them from splitting the bill? She says "I'm pregnant". He says, "Have an abortion, I don't want to be a father". She says "No". Well, that was stupid. He splits and pays for all 18 years of child support in 1 shot. If he can afford to, great. I doubt most men in this situation would have that option. This hurts the child as now... there's no ties to the father. Sure. If I wanted to use you as a personal dildo, I would know that it'd be because I don't respect or love you at all and I see you as less than nothing. Well, that's a very weird outlook on life. You'd only have casual sex with someone or something that you have so much contempt for that to think of them as nothing would be too good. That's more unhealthy than just having casual sex. Usually, yes. Because most often people don't listen and don't try to understand the other person's situation from their perspective before giving advice. It's like the act of telling someone what they should do is an ego boost or something. Usually when women tell men that their they need to lower their standards, I think both sexes don't like being told to lower their standards for different reasons. For men it's usually because the standards either haven't been expressed at all, so being told…

women can only extract from you what you allow them to. The same could be said for men who women use for sex, barring a fucking crime. It's amazing how manipulation ceases to be an issue as soon as it's a man being manipulated and strung along. Women have no agency, even when they're doing wrong. but like obviously the loss/consequences isn't as severe as ending up with a pregnancy from a man who secretly hates you or an STD Then use contraception if you absolutely must have sex. no women don't typically keep men around as placeholder sex objects when they aren't actually attracted to them No, they don't. But they do use them in other damaging ways. These types of women will happily string them along for whatever other material benefits that man can get them until they no longer have a use for them. You seem to think that women just don't treat men like shit for selfish reasons.

because women will simply usually just reject a man she isn't into. Some women will, and some women will continue to string a man along to extract what she can out of him. men need to approach because they aren't as picky as women. That doesn't make any sense. That's a very good reason that women SHOULD approach. women run a huge risk of being used as a placeholder chick when they approach men because men will fuck women they even hate if she throws herself into his lap. I'm sorry, do women not also do this to men who approach them? Do women not also use men when it suits them?

Men are attracted to most women, so women should be attracted to most men I've never heard anyone say this. Men are expected to approach, court, initiate, so women should be expected to approach, court, and initiate.” Okay, why are men expected to do this? Oh really? Do you also think that gay men and women could essentially be persuaded to be straight? I mean, you're trying to persuade straight men to go gay, so it's logically consistent that you would think the opposite is true as well? Because you clearly think that a lack of desire and a sexual orientation is the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/25 06:53 AM

And I explained why those are bad arguments. The reason they are bad arguments may not have been your intention, but that doesn't make your arguments any better. Men could have gay sex if they desired it, except they don’t desire it so they don’t have it. No, they couldn't. They would have to be gay to have that desire. That's the flaw in your argument that I was pointing out. The difference that you're ignoring is that straight women who don't want to date certain men because they aren't attrac…

The entire point is that men have no desire to sleep with other men, gain no advantage because of it. They are not even a part of the gender that those man could enter into any sort of sexual or romantic relationship with at all. Men are a gender that straight and bisexual women can enter into sexual and romantic relationships with. It's completely different. You don't seem to understand what the issue is. The problem that most men have with this app is the fact that the women are just throwing up these guy's personally identifiable information like full names, phone numbers, addresses, place of work etc. That is called doxxing. People have hated doxxing on the internet for a good long time. I'm pretty sure it's illegal in some places. If it isn't, it should be. This is for everyone's safety.

Throughout human history: Roughly 33% of men reproduced. While about 80% of women did. This argument should end there. Why? Nope. It was the invention of agriculture. Which allowed a few, select men, to gather large swaths of wealth and power. Sound familiar? Yeah, but we live in a different time and you aren't accounting for the differences at all. Women don't move on faster after a relationship ends And the real reason is that women just have so many options when it comes to dating that it's incredibly easy for them to move on to the next guy. Immediately contradicting yourself here.

I don't expect men to breastfeed Great example. Men are not capable of breastfeeding. Women are capable of approaching men they're interested in. So by your logic, it's perfectly fine for men to expect women to approach men because it is within their capabilities. Y'all are simply choosing not to, and being quite rude about it. Even if a man wanted to breastfeed, he doesn't possess the natural capability. Most women are capable of walking up to another person and speaking.

If this is some unspoken social contract that we all supposedly have a duty to uphold, then what exactly is the woman's part of it? We give you this, and what do we get? What do you owe to men due to this social contract?

I don't think it's justified to hold people accountable for the actions of other, unrelated people. But again, women say this same stuff to men all the time. There’s a recurring theme I’ve noticed here—especially from men—about not wanting to invest time, energy, or money into dating or socializing without a guaranteed return. Especially from men? I would argue that the only reason you have to believe this is because women's demands for guarantees start from the beginning of the dating process and are completely normalized and socially acceptable, regardless of the guarantee or the reason. Women are mocked for using gut feelings and intuition for filtering men (our "mind-reading" and "psychic powers"), so let's stick strictly to observable concepts Well, yeah, because those are assumptions. Men would be mocked all the same for doing that. One way women can filter against bad men is pre-selection, which is mocked as being a conformist hivemind and only wanting the men other women want. This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. A whole bunch of flowery nonsense toxic masculinity. If men really were privileged in this area, if we really had a choice, nobody would ever say the shit you just said. But they do, constantly. Men have also been made to feel that they are doing something wrong by approaching women. But we're also made to feel like we're inadequate if we don't approach women. It isn't a privilege if you don't really have a choice. Women can just choose to ignore whatever society tells them they should or shouldn't do, just like they have so many times …

I think you're completely wrong. Women are the privileged ones here. They get the choice to approach or not approach and they still have a greater likelihood of having a dating life. Men don't get any choice but in who they choose to approach. Women can make the same choice, or they can choose to sit back and wait for men to approach them. Men get to choose to approach or be alone. That is not a privilege.

You can't determine what other people find attractive for them. The men who say this are speaking for themselves. So in the case of their own opinions, they are absolutely correct. In order for you to be attractive, other people have to find you attractive. There is no objective measure of attractiveness besides consensus. And all it takes for you to be unattractive to someone is for them to disagree with the idea that you are attractive. Simple as. It isn't a matter of right and wrong. It's a m…

For example men want to date women more beautiful than them almost 100% of the time. That's simply not true. Men want to date women that they personally find attractive. What that actually means differs from person to person. Besides this, women are widely considered to be better looking than men anyways. Beauty is social currency, For who? What social benefit does a man actually get for dating a woman he finds attractive? Do women not want the same thing? Doesn't that mean that they would benef…

It does matter and that's not what I meant at all. Women's standards are expressed first. As if they're simply the rules of the game. Many of men's standards have been actively labelled sexism, often for absurd reasons, which teaches men to keep their standards to themselves until they know they can actually speak to the woman they're with.…

I think there are multiple reasons, but one that is not often mentioned is that men are judged by their ability to get a mate in a way that women aren't really. Sometimes they are, but it's a lot less common for people to use your ability to successfully get with a partner as proof of your gender identity(the "if you can't get a woman, you aren't a real man" mentality). You can even see this in the common insults used on men. Most of them are related to his ability to get with a woman. Coupled w…

The women who expect men to protect and provide and lead expect it because the men they deal with expect women to be meek homemakers who follow. That just isn't true. The expectation to provide and protect comes first and the ability to do so, particularly the ability to provide, must be demonstrated first. Before the man's expectations are even expressed. However, I would say things like this are likely written from the “it’s not the 50s anymore” lens. Lol, why? He's talking to men, and pretty much everything he said is what men from that time would say to men too. Not all that long ago women needed marriage to have a “normal” or fulfilling life. Money, shelter, a family, etc. because we didn’t have the same legal rights as well as societal rights. Okay, but that was then and this is now, and men still have to fulfill the same roles?

Not at all, it would just require men to no longer give a fuck about women's standards. Which would actually be equality. Women have been talking about decentering men for a good long time now. Well, maybe we should take a leaf out of their books. What's the downside? Most of us are repulsive to them anyways. Most of us apparently have no chance with them anyways. So why not just decenter them altogether?

It isn't a matter of time, it's a matter of connection and affection. You can't expect a gift. You get one if you get one, and you don't if you don't. It's a different story if you're in a relationship but if you, like this woman, try to get a guy to get you a gift as some sort of test or because you "deserve" it, then you're not worth dating in my opinion.

I don't know, man. When I have a boner I don't have enough blood in my brain to do math. I wouldn't even know how to quantify that in percentages.

Men were seen as the choosers, and women were just options. No, we weren't. The dating norms of men approaching and making all of the first moves, planning and paying for the date and all of that was still the norm back then. That norm alone puts women in the position of chooser. The difference between then and now is that men's language wasn't policed in the way it is today. Women are openly expressing their own preferences They have been doing this since before I was born. —like saying they wa…

No and yes. But it depends on what any of that means in particular.

It's not absurd when those are the stated reasons.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/25 10:09 AM

That is not the reason that I'm referring to. Being straight isn't misandry. Thinking that bisexual men are somehow lesser, dirty, dangerous, or not real men is misandry.

The reasoning is misandry.

So? Let them hate then. They wouldn't have any qualms about saying things that you might find controversial.

And yet, you still find plenty of women volunteering the fact that they prefer men much older than them. I think you have bad information.

Is it really that difficult to call it misandry?

some women your lists These two statements alone show the problem with your logic: you cannot conceive of men as individuals, but you have no trouble doing so for women.

Notice how women have no agency in this story of yours. Things are done to them, they don't participate, they don't make decisions, they can't be toxic because they don't actually do things. That's kinda what you're saying. single moms wouldn't exist if men didn't abandon their kids or actually used condoms. Some single moms exist because the father died. And sometimes men use condoms and those condoms fail. Some women choose to exclude the father's of the child from the child's life completely.…

Because you don't. Those women are just greedy hypocrites who like to use archaic, patriarchal standards and toxic masculinity when it suits them. Nobody deserves "princess treatment" and nobody has the right to demand such a thing of another person. These are women riding on the coat tails of feminists who fought for equality, only to reverse the order and claim that it's what they deserve. Disgusting.

No "I love you"s This is a problem Doesn't do anything for Valentine's Day Not really a problem No pet names Maybe a problem, but I could live without pet names Doesn't hold hands when walking together Problem No "I am thinking of you" messages No random cute sticky notes left for you to find Meh Doesn't own any scented candles That's fine. Oh look, another dumb example of "men and women both do this, but people only care enough to say something about it in the case of men.

So we often hear that women don't need men. Which is true. They dont. Is it? I don't think it is. They may not need a man for survival, but people are not just their survival needs. And yes, men do need women. Even red pill men say so. But the idea that women don't need men is fiction. People need each other.

Maybe, but not because of some entitled expectation. I'll pay if I feel like doing something nice for a friend. My gender does not give me the responsibility to pay for your shit regardless of what you feel your "value" is or what you feel you deserve. That attitude would erode the friendship.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/25 01:15 PM

I don't think most of them do that due to any incentive. They're just giving their opinions based on their personal experience.

What would be the point of this? The vast majority of women refuse to approach. Among that majority, there is a significant group that hates the idea so much that they will insult men for even thinking about "hinting" at a woman to approach them. Either women approach or they don't. And they mostly don't. There would be very little point to trying to develop a set of signals.

Now as an extension of women making their own money, naturally that means they want a guy who is financially on par. Why is that natural?
