So they can prove us right, obviously. Thanks, trolls!

Definitely don't argue that point. Using a gun for self defense is a huge rarity. And having a gun definitely increases the likelihood of being shot, regardless of gender.

Yes? Both of those articles list the main cause of gun violence against women is from an intimate partner. E.g. someone she already knows and trusts. (And who knows she has a gun and probably where it's kept).

That doesn't really apply in this situation.

I disagree. It's so so much easier to get a feel for how someone really is in person.

Not at all, just pointing out that they don't actually believe that only people personally impacted by an event should make decisions about that event. If they did, they wouldn't try to control what women do with their bodies. But yes, there's a lot to unpack there: The fact that war impacts every person in the country, not just those that see combat - so his argument falls flat again and is still just about controlling women. He didn't say only draft-eligible aged men should make the decisions …

Agreed 100000%. Unwanted pregnancies cause nothing but pain for the child and mother.

They're just hanging out? My sister and I used to go out to eat and do fun activities all the time. Don't you do the same with friends? Do you consider those "fake dates"?

I couldn't agree more! If we're not making plans to meet within a week of exchanging messages I assume they're not that interested and move on. My time can absolutely be better spent elsewhere. It's much easier to get a feel for someone in person as well. It's easy to lie over txt.

I have RBF (or "serious face", as my more feminist friends call it). I'm also slightly above average in attractiveness & tall (my point mentioning this is that, on paper, I should be garnering unwanted male attention). I rarely get approached or harassed. It still happens, but generally guys tend to steer clear of me and typically back down/drop it if I challenge them or ignore them (depending on the situation). I'll take that over being shamed for how my face looks any day! Some of it may also …

I believe this has been studied at well, although it was based solely on level of attractiveness. But I think it applies to all areas (at least for women). Women are most comfortable in a relationship where they are of higher value than their partner. Men are more comfortable in a relationship where they feel like they've "won" and their partner is higher value than they are.

I like everybody, and if you asked me 10 years ago (20's) I would have said I didn't have a preference between genders. I'm attracted to a solid 60% of the women in my age range that I see out and about/on OLD and the ones I have the pleasure of meeting are usually lovely people with great personalities, even if we're not compatible romantically. Several relationships with great HVW over the years. I meet maybe 1-2 guys a year that I find attractive that aren't gay, and if they don't ruin it imm…

Consensual Non-Consensual Basically someone will give permission to their partner to have sex with them whenever they want, even if they say no or fight back. Typically a safe word is used to really stop things. It's play rape for porn sick LVM trash IMO

Yeah, it's really heart wrenching. That would feel almost as violating if not more so than assault from a stranger. There's trust and safety there (or there should be) that is being violated as well as the physical trauma.

Wow, I had never looked up her husband. I'm mostly lesbian but that guy can get it. Just goes to show how much those awful hot wife/dumpy husband pairings are a LVM fantasy.

Ugh I hate that pairing so much. But it's pretty par for the course when it comes to TV pairings, sadly.
