Yes it's possible. It's just like any other trauma. You have to deal with it consciously. You don't hide from it. It takes alot of introspection. I recommend meditation. It's actually a very big part of what meditation teaches you about yourself. You absolutely need to stop identifying yourself with your past.

Don't break frame. You don't need to be clever or be defensive about it. Just own it. "I'm glad you recognize a good attempt."

This is the best and only way to deal with the situation.

You're on the right path. The first step is to recognize those ingrained thought patterns. Seems like you're doing that just fine. The next step is to force yourself not to obey to those thought patterns. This is the hard part, but it's the only way to re-wire your brain into what it should be. It's pretty obvious to me that you're constantly seeking validation: Big texts, conveying too much info = you're trying to explain yourself to her and justify your actions to her as if she had authority o…

You don't have to read it. I actually find that to alot of people, it comes naturally to them through their own life experiences. That said, if you wanna read it, it allowed myself to understand the TRP better and have more focus in life. To me, it's much easier to see when someone is acting out of their ego and when they do, I don't allow it to influence my frame. It also allows to me to recognize mind patterns that were deep-rooted within myself. It complements the TRP very well.

Certainly not by myself. I'm not that smart. Read "The power of Now". It's been a game changer for me. Really opened my eyes. I responded to this post, because I used to tell myself lies about myself to feel better as well. But that's really no different that the hamstering women do most people here like to complain about.

That's a dangerous path. Yes, good self-esteem > bad self-esteem... But...it's always dangerous when you derive your sense of identity from your thought process. You can certainly tell yourself that you're better than everyone else. It might even help you in some situations, but you won't be able to maintain your frame when faced with someone who knows themselves very well. The best state of mind to be in is to remember that you're nothing special. But guess what? Noone you meet is special eithe…

I'd be playful instead of just dismissing it. "I know what you mean. That can get annoying after a while, especially when they ask for your autograph."

I thought the overall message was actually pretty on point. Most of it has been formatted for a female perspective, but it's pretty spot on. Some TRP truth right there: Check Your Ego: Mostly correct. Most women have an inflated sense of self and that causes them to go for men way above their SMV. Keeping their ego in check is a good thing. Stay Focused: Again, absolutely correct. Not making it about the other woman is a good start. Moral Flaws: Again, correct. She knows that women can't help th…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
