Yeah, I can understand her feeling a bit hurt because of the lack of trust. But then going straight into "you could have paid off my debts" etc.? NONONONONO. It's one thing for a woman to ask her partner for help. It's quite another for her to feel entitled to it. (Note to any lurking feminists. Try reversing the sexes in this story, then making it about sex not money. If it's not ok for him to feel entitled to her goods, it's not ok for her to feel entitled to his. #EqualityRules.)

Depends what you mean by "this"? If you mean widespread protests against police behaving like an occupying army, and targeting black men, then I think they'd say "yes absolutely!" Note that at the end of WW2 it would have been crazy-talk to suggest that city and town police forces ride around in armored vehicles and suppress political speech. Yet here we are.

Similar conclusions, yes. With one exception: fat girls. I met a nice, intelligent, interesting, sincere, and even financially stable(!) woman on a site. We had some good conversations, but I simply couldn't make myself pull the trigger physically. If you can get over the hangup that I can't, you might actually find a (large) unicorn out there. But what I really started this comment to say is, welcome brother! Grab a beer and chill and tell us how you're chasing your dreams.

As a kid, I loved to read history books. Would even cut class to hide in the library (of course I now realise the teachers must have known exactly where I was). So after doing some jobs that were ok but not fulfilling, I took a chance, chucked it all, and started again on a career that now lets me read and write and teach about history, and get paid. I have different hobbies, sports/travel/whatev, but I'm truly lucky that my day job is something I used to do as a hobby, and still love. (Except g…

1) She screams at him about something trivial, or that only exists in her head. 2) Foolishly, he screams back. 3) He is now an abuser. I somewhat accidentally got locked in with a woman (we knew each other somewhat, from a group of friends) at the start of the virus mess. On the first night we made a promise that if anything's bothering either of us, we raise it and discuss it. It worked out great. But that's a very very very unusual woman, and an unplanned situation. GYOW.

What are the chances the accuser actually has $1.2m available for him to collect? A judgment is just a piece of paper. Worth remembering: this was a relationship gone bad. If he had just not gotten involved with her in the first place, maybe a bit less of a headache for him? (This saga started 5 years ago, gents. Consider carefully.) https://www.startribune.com/u-law-professor-falsely-accused-of-rape-wins-1-2-million-defamation-judgment/570666022/

Not a bad idea to tell them a few positive things. "Great opportunity to get a hobby". "You'll spend a lot less money". And so on. Probably a bad idea to mention MGTOW outright. Anything that goes against the grain of "just simp harder!" is seen as hate.

No offence intended, but why should we care? Where are all the good men? Some of them are here :-) Let the idiots do their things. Meanwhile, if a brother reaches out to you in pain, be there and help him to see the light, if he's ready. (If he's using "services" like Patreon etc., he's not ready.)

EXACTLY. And now that it's discovered to be not fun, it's the fault of The Patriarchy. Both my mom and my dad made it pretty clear. In this life, you get what you work for. And if you're blessed to be healthy enough to work, and had the chance to go to school, then thank your lucky stars and get busy. I've seen this happen. I used to work for an organization I'll call X. It had a main HQ and two small branch offices (each with 2 people). I worked at a branch office. Soon after I got there, we needed to hire another person. The shortlisted candidates were ok, not great. And ironically, if you ever allow yourself to be caught, you're stuck with two choices: 1) treat her like shit, or 2) watch her monkeybranch away. Not sure how, but you have to work through the anger. Get to some of the classics in your reading, such as Seneca (who I've never read, I'll admit!). The point is to learn to accept the world as it is, change what you can, and not worry about the rest. And the thing you can most successfully change is ... you. I know I'm not being helpful. I've been through the rage too. It gets better. In my case, it helped a lot to realize that the desire I had for women is really a kind of sickness, a harmful…

Italy's a good warning to the rest of the world. Government got slightly behind events, outbreak spread fast, now we're locked down for 5-6 weeks and counting. Don't get me wrong, lockdown is exactly the right thing to do and so far - in this region at least - people are following the new rules, staying calm, and helping each other in little ways. Honestly, I don't quite buy your straw man - that is, I don't hear a lot of men claiming you need to faceplant in a relationshit before you can truly be MGTOW. More like, those of us who've avoided serious damage from involvement with women can be very thankful, and we can be grateful to our less fortunate MGTOW brothers who take the time to tell us the truth. But what you said is spot on.

You're 21. Within maybe 5 years, at least 1/2 your friends in serious relationships will be back and with a hard lesson learned. Meanwhile, work on yourself (like all of us here should do!). Patience.

Sorry to hear this. It sounds like you're taking a very proactive, positive approach. The way you write and think, you can get to college some day if you want to. Note this won't necessarily matter in terms of money and freedom (want those? become a master plumber!), but you can get away from the nest forever into an environment that's set up to help you to explore and to keep it reasonably safe.

Like someone else commented, nearly everything. I started with a website where you pay a monthly subscription (like $25 I think) then people post profiles of what sort of stuff they'll do. No sex, but lots else. I checked out some profiles (looking for either a friend to just hang out with, or a 1:1 sports coach). Ended up meeting a wonderful woman, first for conversation, later for counselling, and finished with a local day trip. We still keep in touch via emails (not paying, just long distance…

Sorry, this isn't really what you asked, but to your four points: - rejections. Don't ask. You'll never hear "no". If a woman asks you out, answer as you please. - negative emotions. They are within you, thus you can learn to control them. Another commenter already said it well -> know that you are high value. As someone else said, it's the system. There's also something to female nature - if you doubt that, then 1) get two male cats, observe how they behave toward each other, then 2) get two female cats and repeat the experiment. (Hint: one pair will become friends, the other won't.) Why are we here on this sub? I drop by occasionally just to catch up and remind myself why MGTOW's the only way to be. I pretty much avoid gatherings where alcohol and women I don't already know are. Even if you don't drink, they do. Then there is a danger of temptation, or disturbing your peace of mind. If you can't make yourself not go to parties that have alcohol and unknown women, then smoke up before you go. I find that helps me not to want to get any more from someone who comes up and talks to me - and sometimes the talking is fun.

What happened? Lots of stuff, nothing too tragic, too long to type here. What would have to happen for me to change my mind? I'd have to lose my mind. And then the dude I paid in advance to shoot me if I ever went back would have to forget to do it.

--> This. Is. Not. A. Movement. <-- It's just a choice to be who you are and not worry about society's expectations. And to set goals, achieve them, and find satisfaction and happiness. What you're describing is, it seems to me, more or less perfect MGTOW. Resentment is not intrinsic to MGTOW. Rather, it's what a lot of us have to work to get past. We were brainwashed. Only through experience did we discover, as you apparently have, that most women in relationships are demanding and shunt all bl…

I think we basically agree. I also said very, very few women. And yes, most 'independent' women seem to actually live off men's efforts (divorce rape being the main means). But ... maybe I define GTOW more broadly than you do. Honestly, I would have a difficult time surviving in a cabin in the woods, totally on my own (I'm outdoorsy but not experienced at hunting; I build, but not so good at improvising materials; etc.). So instead I work, make my money honestly - sometimes salary, sometimes sel…

I wish we could avoid mixing up topics, as this group of t-shirts does. Feminism? Promoting the modern version (aka pure man-hating and taking advantage) is certainly simping. But what has that to do with "black lives matter"? My brothers, it is simply true, black dudes have much more chance of being shot by a cop for being black than white dudes. That is wrong. Black men are our brothers, no? Trans equality is maybe a bit closer to feminism, but notice the word "equality". Shouldn't we all have…

Women have destroyed male/female relationships. And if you happen to speak with a woman, be sure to thank her for that! GYOW, bro. (And if you miss female company, earn money and rent it by the hour. Bonus: you get to enjoy the company of a professional pleaser, not an amateur teaser.)

It is this bad in Australia. Not quite as bad in continental Europe, but bad enough. It's pretty much a global phenomenon. Women get independence (which is great!) then discover life is difficult (which is how we grow and learn) then talk to their sisters (oops) and decide that life is difficult because men. A very, very few women can handle their own shit and not wallow in anger. They'll GTOW too, so.

1) Nice how her handwriting changes through the letter. She was really making herself angrier with every word she wrote! 2) Like others said -> Lawyer. Now. 3) If you don't, she will. A buddy of mine started getting this treatment (she projects her anger on to him), tried to work through it, she lawyered up, timed it perfectly, and grabbed everything she could (such as, emptied their joint bank accounts, THEN filed for divorce). 4) Play nice, or play to win. Up to you now.

Thanks for the CRP recommendation, I might check it out. This is a question I too struggle with. I live in a place (a city in Australia) where there is basically no such thing as making new friends. It's a public health crisis, government and media talk about it lots (or did, before fires). Close friendship like you describe is pretty obsolete - after all, who would 1. witness something bizarre, or 2. look at someone else about it? Today, you'd 1. have your face in your phone so you don't notice…

Well THAT's open minded of them (Not!). We should rename MGTOW "feminism for men". Because that's pretty much what it is (at least if we take the old school definition of feminism, i.e. be independent, look after yourself, follow your dreams, etc.).

I respectfully disagree with OP's statement "the sick trend of ... paying for female attention musts be curbed". On the contrary. MGTOW me is perfectly ok paying for female attention. We get in contact, we agree on a price and a set of services, they provide the service, I pay the agreed hourly rate. Simple commerce. What I don't do any more is try to interact socially with women who are not upfront enough to immediately negotiate an hourly rate for agreed services. They're the dangerous ones.

I dunno, as far as I can tell the women who go to college or etc. can't stand the idea of a man being equally educated to them. That was a beautiful essay, thank you. One concern, though. You (accidentally, I think) reflect the view that MGTOW "opposes womanhood". I think you make a good point there. However I try to do a bit better than pure hedonism. And if a nice-looking woman is down for NSA sex, yes, I enjoy that experience. But I try to keep it mentally separate from everything else, and if I begin to feel emotions engage, then I walk away. One thing that drove me crazy about that industry was, it seemed to be a rule that if you understood the tech then you couldn't be a manager. Honestly, it shows ignorance of Islam. Study the religion in its context, particularly the Quran and the actions and words of the Prophet Muhammad. For example, women covering their faces with a veil. This came about because in 7th century Arabia, upper-class women would go about modestly veiled, while lower class vendors and prostitutes were not allowed to cover their faces in public. Therefore, the rule that all women (indeed all people) should dress modestly in public was a raising-up of lowe…

Top of head, I'd say *NO* do not help by handing over money. Instead, be a helpful son. Come over and do chores to give your dad some rest. Clean stuff, fix stuff, cook them dinner once in a while. And every time your dad mentions he's only able to make interest payments, tell him to find just $1 extra, somewhere - there's always another dollar - and quietly use it to pay down principal. But stay out of their debt trap - you have your own life to live.

Look up the symptoms of adult female autism. It's rare, but would explain some of the behaviors you've noticed. If I were in your situation though, I might wonder why I care if some particular simp is happy or sad or even exists. You're letting this woman control how you feel. Why? GYOW would be my advice (not that you asked, but y'know).

"blue pilled chew toy" - brilliant metaphor, love it! Your closing lines sounded a bit like you're trying to leave the door open. That's dangerous, I think. GYOW. Maybe some day you'll meet a woman who can walk part of that journey alongside you. But the moment you let yourself want her to love you -> chew time!

Try the restaurant. Bring a book or an iPad, banter with the staff, order what you want, relax, enjoy, no cooking, no cleanup, no fuss. I do it about once a week & really enjoy! (Yes, usually I'm the only person in the restaurant seated alone. So what?)

I think you hit two important points here (both of which I've tried): sports and therapy. Sports. Yes. Some teams come together and forge a bond. Those are really special. Hard work, dedication, certainly some disappointments, and you might even be a benchwarmer. But when it's the right team - wow. Therapy. This one's been on my mind a while. I might write separately about it some day. Attachment theory. Some of us don't have that nagging voice. With some of us, it's built it. It has to do with …

I would not agree with that. MGTOW means - well, take the words literally. Many of us have to sometimes fight the urge to stray from our path, but whenever that happens the answer is usually to do something positive to stay on the right path. Don't get angry, get to the gym! Don't get depressed, learn a new language! Don't go to clubs and spend in hopes of finding a NAWALT, invest that money instead! And so on. Through this forum here, among other places, I've come to understand MGTOW is anythin…

This is an absolutely stupid answer, but I'll say it anyway. Bite your tongue. Whenever you have that thought - I know, I've had it a few times too ("maybe her and me ...") - whenever that thought strikes, literally bite your tongue. Hard enough to hurt. Be honest with yourself. Thought hits? Bite. Every. Single. Time. Eventually, you will get tired of the constant, searing pain in your tongue and you'll have to stop thinking the thought.

Banned from the other sub for saying that? Weird! Anyway, I think you've just discovered the reason this sub exists. Welcome! I do enjoy the other sub, but this one is more thoughtful and productive. I would put less value on 'praising', than on helping one another to progress in our MGTOW-ness. It comes naturally to some (ya lucky bastards ;-), but a lot of us have to work at it, concentrate, remember, learn, and be always on the lookout against our own backsliding. Nothing wrong with praising!…

Sports. Competition. Even winning your town's rec league softball championship feels great! Chillin' with teammates afterwards, nearly as great. And age schmage. One guy I knew was still winning 200m medley swim races when he was (literally) twice your age. If he can do that in his late 90s, you can do too.

Dude we *ALL* feel like an imposter sometimes. That means the people around you when you feel that way have either felt it too or are feeling it right then. Engineering degree is mostly good for getting a steady job. Hot shot founders who earn millions are creative, risk-takers, sometimes just lucky (I know a few). If you invent a great widget, sure, maybe you'll get rich. But the process of getting rich depends on - guess what - those soft skills! Who's gonna persuade the VC to put a million be…

Easiest thing to start is exercise. Set goals, compete with yourself. I look forward to my bicycling (and even, some, to fixing the bike after I overdo it). Match your career to what you liked in school. If that means switching careers, do it. Fact is you'll be at some job a lot of your time - might as well do something that interests you, or that at least lets you be your own boss. I know it's gonna sound stupid, but GYOW *is* success.

Reminds me of one time in a majority-women workplace, by coincidence all the women were out of the office on the same day. The three men said hi to each other, sat down, worked, got the job done & went home. In my experience at least, that's mostly how men behave in the office: we shaddup and work. It sometimes seems that women think they're missing out on some kind of secret society. The secret is: there is no secret.

You have a point. I visit this sub from time to time, and the last little while have noticed a lot of "woe is me" posts. I guess some folks aren't yet firmly on the MGTOW path. Lord knows I have moments like that. Was watching this fitness guru a while back, he said it nicely: "it's a journey". If you ask me (you didn't ...), it's about 1) being your best self, then 2) if you feel like it, supporting those who are facing challenges on their own journeys.

What do you mean, "West"? Hemisphere, or western part of the USA? If you have a college degree and an ESL certificate, it's pretty easy to find work teaching English somewhere - I've never done it, but met a lot who have. Why are you listening to what other people tell you you should do? Pick somewhere, try it. You can always come back.

Got money, low stress life? Not a bad place to be! Seems like you went right. If you're feeling a bit down, hit the gym, take up a new hobby, etc. - lots of examples and options being discussed on this forum & similar ones. And if you do want to attract women, GYOW. They'll be there if you want them. (Just *don't* give them any power over you. If you start to feel a need for her, dump her immediately. That's your sanity you're playing with. Just sayin'.)

Another reason for these rules is to avoid "common law marriage" - in which you don't formally get married, but a court can rule that because you acted like you were married, you were! That's why it's so important to live separately, and not spend too many nights in a row together. Peace-out. GYOW bro!

I've been thinking about exactly that. Kids are cool. I've a great relationship with my dad, and with my mom, they have a wonderful marriage, never a fight - and she's even an old school feminist (women, like men, get an education, work, achieve, etc., on their own merits). But that was then. This is now. Now, relationships like that ... well, you know. So a man who wants children needs a different plan. My thoughts, for whatever it's worth: MGTOW doesn't really have rules. If you want to be a f…

This will sound sarcastic, but it's not. 1) Try something, anything, new. 2) Day by day, consciously notice little moments of happiness and freedom. 3) Notice what caused them. 4) Do more of that. The whole world is in front of you. GYOW.

It's not wrong. But I could see (perhaps) getting to a point where you're fully protected and can live a life that includes women. I have no problem with women in the workplace per se, and even some female friends. But yield to the system? Never. I'm reminded of a friend's dad. Self-made, rich. He learned a good lesson via divorce. From then on he was ok to have a girlfriend - but the rules were clear. Never more than 2 days together in the same place. Never leave anything at each other's place …

One thing I've seen work for a lot of people is, approach one of the big meatheads in the gym. Ask him (or sometimes, her) about weightlifting technique. A very few of these guys are jerks. Most of the rest absolutely love to share their experiences, encourage you to stick to it, etc. The bad leg is unfortunate. But you can still bench press, for example - see if you can build your max up to +50% (safely!!). That is very, very satisfying.

It seems almost every generation thinks this is the end of days. Massive civil war? We did that. Then the war to end all wars (it didn't). Then the isms - communism, fascism. Vietnam. Yet here we still are. What can you do? Don't get overexcited. Work on yourself (MGTOW's a great start!). Don't hate. Keep learning. Conserve resources, yours and the planet's. Always ask "why". Start by making a difference the one place you absolutely can -> yourself. Work outwards from there.

I feel ya. Sports is one possibility. Either pickup, or find a way to join a team. Gym can work too. These are ways I've met people. You find acceptance on a team, or in the gym. I know it's a terrible cliche, but if you just keep at it, it will happen naturally. Not everyone will turn into a friend. But teammates (or people who see each other regularly in the gym) always have something to talk about. And maybe 1 in 50 of those you will find you actually connect with in a deeper, more lasting wa…

Stay strong bro. It sounds like you had to get away from that workplace. Good. Nothing's worth the price of your sanity or soul. Turn the page. Know that you have support out here and you. will. survive. Look around you, cut all the expenses you can, and focus on yourself. If you ever can't think what else to do - sorry if this sounds cheesy, but it works for a lot of us - open the Bible and read. You have a world of supporters out here. Adults can generate their own love from within. Or project it outwards through a lens of religion or philosophy, and you will find it comes round back to you. You don't need to find it in a woman. Or indeed, in any other person but you.
