I've determined that now isn't a good time to focus on it. These past months have been some of my best efforts at introspection and self-improvement

As someone who is incredibly passionate about gaming it kind of hurts to have it be seen exclusively as a negative thing. I enjoy games as a form of competition and it has taught me so much about self assessment, and striving to get better at something. I also play DnD but mentioning that is a shot in the foot. I have other hobbies outside of nerdy shit, but then if I build my identity around just those things I'm being inauthentic. I can go on an hour long passion rant all day about my nerdy ho…

My hobbies aren't attractive by any means, but I enjoy them. For me it's video games, dnd, social dynamics/meeting new people, and fashion. I can certainly pick up some other hobbies, but if I already enjoy my current ones I'm not sure if it's necessary

Great post man. I have zero doubt you are on the path to success

My job is only gonna last another 2 weeks so I'm not really too concerned. I went really direct because I knew she was seeing this other guy, and I'm not trying to masquerade my feelings by asking to hangout. This would inevitably get me the same answer, the only difference is that it would be more time consuming. I'm fairly confident that nothing terrible will happen at work aside from us not talking normally again. My guy co-workers will likely respect that I went for it. My girl co-workers wi…

I probably didn't make myself clear, but I stopped focusing on them and more on myself for months now. I wouldn't completely disregard them but whether or not I found success didn't really matter to me. This overall made me happy. Now I'm starting to feel really bad about the lack of women. I don't know if this is a sign to take more aggressive action or not

He's not like super good looking but slightly above average. Nothing for me to get jealous over. I've had some dumb luck with girls in the past too but just not as direct. I realized that it's not a good idea to rely on girls coming to you so we gonna start approaching some more when given the chance

Thanks man. As I vaguely mentioned in another comment I kinda just wanted to throw myself in there and see what happened, so I wasn't at my best. I wasn't intending to hangout with these girls because I was already occupied by hanging out with my bros. But nevertheless it's something to keep in mind for the future. Perhaps I did give up early but in all of the words we exchanged I legitimately saw this going nowhere. I didn't get too flustered, just legitimately out of things to say off the top …

Yeah I definitely can agree on making observations about the environment. Back in high school this was one of my better skills. I was feeling kind of aloof if I'm honest. As for the group stuff that seems pretty sound. I was content with hanging with my friends and was just trying to slip in a quick approach without being results driven. I proposed me and some of the dudes talked to some groups. However my friends aren't the most comfortable with strangers. Met this dude who chilled with us for …

I suppose in our age group (I'm 19) handshakes aren't a very common thing. I tend to always go for it when I am meeting someone new. I also think it is a way to get comfortable with touch. Yeah I definately regret ignoring the friend. The lack of desire to approach a group of girls more so comes down legitimately not knowing the best way to go about it. I feel if I'm approaching a large group doing direct approach on one of them it will be more difficult. I'm not the most experienced, and I've n…

I'm glad you were able to get some good friends. Imo it's way more important of an issue to sort out first before dating. But hey man you can't count yourself out until you get rejected. For all we know those girls could be dying to get with you. Girls naturally don't want to be the ones to come out and say they like you

Have you tried approaching or meeting girls through social circles? Not saying you are one of these people, but some people fear rejection to the point they convince themselves they can't date anyone. I hardly think that if you keep actively meeting and talking to girls you'll never find at least one who's interested

Downvoted for telling the truth Edit: I actually upvoted him. I agree with what he said

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
