Can you speak more to some of these methods?

It's funny, a hundred years ago women were thought of as weak, fragile creatures easily triggered by their emotions. Now, without any irony, they themselves are again promoting the same viewpoint that they so desperately fought to overcome. What's next, fainting couches and smelling salts? Talk about going full circle.

This article absolutely infuriates me and makes me depressed for the future, especially if I have a son. What have you done to help counteract this type of insidious brainwashing with your boy?

Don't speak ill of my brother.

A few years back I got diagnosed with an incurable but manageable illness. I was extremely beta at the time and I took it really hard. For almost two months I was a mess, and poured out my fears and sadness to my girlfriend at the time. I figured since I had been tirelessly helping her and supporting her for the past year through a whole list of physical and emotional issues she had, she would do the same for me right? Wrong. At the end of the second month she basically flipped out at me, we got…

That's exactly it. All you're doing is tiring yourself out and opening yourself up to bad form and injuries when you hit your working weight.

I mean at the heavier weights. I was an idiot and paid to join his site, and one of the docs he gave out was his warmup routine. Basically you start at empty bar and work your way up but when you pass 200lbs you have something like 8 progressively heavier warmup sets to do before you get to your max lift. I found it overkill. I cut it in half based on the advice of Mark Rippetoe. I'd really recommend getting his book Starting Strength. It's very comprehensive and a better system. Plus he isn't a…

Actually, the one thing that will shred fat the most is a diet like leangains.

I did Stronglifts for a year. At its base it's a modified version of Starting Strength, and the dude who came up with it milks it for all its worth. It produces results, but don't sign up for his bullshit members site and don't follow his warm-up advice at high weights. You'll end up exhausting yourself and spending an hour before getting to your actual proper lift weight. I've since switched to high rep/low weight standard 3 day split and have noticed better results tbh but your mileage may var…

Four women have come forward, three of whom say he basically beat the shit out of them during their encounters over the last two years. The CBC wouldn't fire its star personality just because he liked using a ball-gag. Where there's smoke, there's fire. I'm not a feminist apologist by any sense, but sometimes dudes do bad shit to women and it has to be acknowledged.

All of my upvotes brother. As long as they keep dismissing us all as virgin, neck-beard, teenage losers they're going to keep underestimating us. I think they'd be horrified if they realized just how many of us are among them, in ALL levels of society.

As a hotbed of "misogynist white males", like it or not, TRP is getting dragged into this. Might as well start swinging.

See, this is a part of TRP I don't particularly agree with. We condemn women for being hypergamous and only chasing after guys with high SMV but at the same time we chase after hot, skinny feminine girls and will avoid the hamplanets no matter how "kind and sensitive" they are. At the end of the day relationships are purely transactional. Yes, the girl I am with is with me because I'm successful and have a career that has some degree of prestige. If I lost all of that I wouldn't be surprised if …

What I'd like to see is a response to the often stated complaint about TRP from the bluepill that it's actually a site that promotes mental and sometimes physical abuse of women and general hatred of women. That seems to be what they point out the most when dismissing TRP "oh it's supposed to be about self improvement, but this dude is talking about how subhuman single mom's are and this guy is saying that women deserve to be raped" etc etc

Which do you think came first in any society, and which do you think was in response to the lack and uncertainty of the other? Individual charity cannot be relied upon.

Society has given most of us the opportunity to get where we are today and allowed us the luxury of resources and time to devote ourselves to our own betterment, instead of starving or running for our lives from roving militias. Part of our duty as men is to help support and promote the society we live in. In this case, medical insurance geared towards the support and prosperity of our society long term is an acceptable cost as far as I'm concerned. If we all lived with the "fuck you, got mine" …

The worst part is if you flat-out call them on this exact point they will eagerly acknowledge it. They see absolutely nothing with this end goal, fueled by righteous justification of past male transgressions.

TRP is a godsend, I wish I had discovered it 10 years earlier. It's already helped me out so much in my new relationship. It's one of the only safe spaces left on the web and even then the bluepill and other SJW's can't leave it alone.

I call bullshit on all of this. According to the bluepill everyone on this sub are nothing more than basement-dwelling, teenage neckbeards. No chance that actual functional, elite, intelligent members of society would fall for TRP propaganda. But seriously, thank you for this. I came very close to getting snared-up in common-law issues with my ex, it's a very insidious part of the law.

You really shouldn't act depressed around her, even if you're feeling that way inside. You need to keep up the front around her - showing her you're depressed will only lessen her attraction towards you and make her question if she chose the right guy to be with. TRP 101 dude.

It'll be interesting to see how the bluepill rationalizes this away.

If by "they" you mean "my penis" then yes, yes they have. Tragic.

Because by accepting it we're basically buying into and legitimizing the absolutely false and damaging narrative that personal standards of beauty and feelings of attraction are choices that can be consciously changed. Telling a straight guy that a landwhale is just as beautiful as a fit and toned woman is akin to telling a gay guy that a pussy should be just as beautiful to him as a ten inch cock is.

I'll be moving back though, and I'd like to maintain the same social circle I had, although I could make a new one if necessary

On a somewhat related topic, how do you feel about your male friends staying friends with your ex? I broke up with mine about a year ago and moved abroad, but from Facebook and other sources I've found out that two of my really good friends back home hang out with her all the time. There was no acrimony in the split and my ex and I are on friendly terms but this is bothering me a bit.

Counterpoint - a guy I know who's Alpha as fuck and had to beat women off with a stick maintains that you should never be afraid to spend money on a beautiful woman.

So does that mean actively cheating while in an LTR?

This is so depressing. It seems like the inevitable result of any relationship is the girl deciding to upgrade and leave. How the fuck do you stop this from happening? What sort of life is it where you always have to keep your guard up, emotions closed off and frame rock solid?

By all means open yourself up and fall in love. But always know that you can walk away if necessary. It's a real fine line to walk, but when you achieve that level it's zen like.

I'm driving myself to anxiety because of Fomo. Literally every single night I have something planned and it's been like that for two months straight. I really need to step back and take a breather but it feels like there's this maddening urge that just wants to keep going out all the time.

I started on Stronglifts but switched over to SS. Mehdi, the guy who runs Stronglifts, is a sheister and basically lifted the entire thing from Rippetoe, adding in 5x5 instead of 3x5 and infinite warmups. Don't pay to become one of his "exclusive" members either.

Yeah I'm there with you. I find a lot of SJW's are weird leftist analogues of the hardcore religious right: people who are supposed to love their neighbour but instead condemn them for being poor, or having buttsex in the privacy of their bedrooms. Extremes on both ends degrade society badly.

I appreciate the humour and think it's awesome, but you should never actually send something like this to your ex. It just comes off as insecure and passive aggressive.

When we used to fight, my ex-fiancée would take off her engagement ring, leave it on the dresser in plain site and not wear it for a few days. The first time she did this I freaked out, scared shitless that she would leave me. Not to mention horribly insulted. Here was the ring i'd saved up for and spent a ton of money on and she just blithely takes it off like that? What the fuck! After the 5th time I actually took her ring and hid it. When she panicked I gave it back. This was in my extreme bl…
