No idea then. I have a lot of work to do. I don’t know how to measure it; it’s never ending. Just as the work I’m putting in hear.

By talking about my wife less. He is in-line with MRP. If I continue on about my wife he redirects the conversation to about me and what I can do to fix myself. We aren’t looking to save the marriage. He’s trying to save the man.

Yeah, I’ve search all over the sub looking for what rule 9 is. I couldn’t. I just figure it’s going on too much about “her”. If this crosses the line, I’ll edit it.

Well, I want to say because I love her, have similar interest, enjoy spending time with her and we have a daughter together. But, I know the real reason is I have validation and abandonment issues.

No, I don't want a divorce. We got on another level recently and I would like to explore that with her. Yup, married a single mother. If you read my previous OYS, this is my second marriage to a single mother. I seek these relationships to get love and validation through "helping" and care giving. I imagine she married me for my dollars.

No, it's not my truth. I can see at times she wasn't into having sex with me, I just took it as getting duty sex, but to her it was grape. Thank you, I've been taking it one minute at a time to one day at a time in changing my childhood beliefs. It's a constant battle in my mind to not engage and act out when those feelings arise.

No, they are not. But, going to therapy to beak the cycle of my behavior and those issues need to be worked through for that to happen.

Yes, this has been the hardest for me. Living in the moment and letting go. Working on that through meditation.

This is what I'm working on in therapy. There is a lot of pain from my childhood that I am dealing with that comes out in thinking I am a failure in everything I do. Afraid of abandonment. There was physical abuse and my mom telling me she wishes I was never born.

OYS 1 First OYS post. Found TRP and MRP about 8 years ago when my marriage was on the brink of divorce. I read most of all the material but never applied it in any meaningful manner. Drunk Captain for the last eight years and now we are finally getting divorced. It get's real bad how pathetic I was in our marriage, no leadership what so ever. She has been steering the ship, I've been trailing along begging for sex and validation. 45m, 178lbs, 6'0", 18%bf (scale), married 10 years (42f), stepson …
