At first I was talking about the site... I didn't really understand his argument at first

That's pretty weird. They don't sit us down and tell us how horrible men are. Most women won't even call themselves feminist. But yeah I didn't say sexism against men doesn't exist. Ever. And I'm sure women expect things sometimes because they are women.. But everyone gets treated the way they are based on what they are sometimes and there will always be people who exploit the system but it's not just women

Predisposed because I was born female? I guess... But I don't really think that's a safe argument because you can just go and apply that to tons of things for both sexes. I didn't really think about gender that much when I was younger...

I'm sorry... I am trying to understand why you guys feel the way you do on the subject. Isn't that what these are here for? To discuss? It says that objecting opinions are welcome... If you guys just want to hear yourselves talk that's okay but you don't have to dismiss me like that.

Well a lot of people are divorced in the US... and many children don't have fathers and mothers that live together anymore... maybe it is trying to reach out to those people. Men are often villians I don't really think that would have an effect on a kid. And kid movies are supposed to have love in them <3 It is odd that it is 3 families though...

I didn't know the "tyrannical" dad was a myth. I know they mention it in the article but I had this idea that the dad of that time was generally the one who punished the children more, and punishments used to be a bit harsher than today? Also men used to be much more responsible for supporting their family, which would make it understandable why they weren't as close to their kids... and both of these might make a dad the "not as affectionate" parent. That's the image I have had I guess. But tha…

I have read SO many articles that feminists have written to help men! Double standards that they have to face as well. There has been extensive work done on machismo and trying to understand the social constructs that make men feel that they have to act the way they do... some stuff about chivalry that i agree with and work about men and women being equal partners in earning money and spending it together. Tons about sharing the head-of-household position. I do admit that there is a difference b…

Ugh. I don't really want to go through every single thing that is wrong about some of those. How many feminists actually think that women should seperate from men? not the majority.

feminism IS about equality! I hate that the meaning of feminism is lost when people don't really understand the whole concept. even women don't sometimes to be honest, and that's why feminism hasn't done it's job completely i agree. alot of women either don't want to talk about it and think it is too radical, and others just go with whatever they THINK feminism is about. feminism isn't about blaming men for problems, it's about working with them to better our collective situations and provide be…

Okay my bad you're right... I suppose it would have been better to write "sexism against women" but isn't the category "sexism" and then the subcategory "sexism against women" can't you do the same thing for men?

Actually... I thought this was going to be some crazy idea... but it's not. I have totally picked at my boyfriend for something stupid just to piss him off and vice versa. The truth is being bitchy can make anyone feel better, and after you are with someone for awhile there are so many things that they can do to PISS YOU OFF haha. Not starting stupid fights is something worth doing.

Aww we just want to keep you oh-so-bad <3 Out of all those men, how many were actually cheating I wonder.... Not the point, I know. Just curious...

Nope. If it was about men it could be titled "Sexism". Because you automatically assume that it is about women doesn't mean there is a monopoly. Just because sexism is more common and talked about being against women, there is a need to put gender tags on there if it isn't. Maybe if more cases about sexism having to do with men being the victims were brought into a light, then it wouldn't have the gender attached to it all the time.

Okay so this isn't the "classic" feminist. It is the kind most drawn upon, however, to make us all look like loons. The idea of feminism isn't that we hate men or want to be without men. There are people with extreme religious and political views, this woman just has weird feminist views.

Not really... why don't you make one that is about men then? I mean is that your only point? That sexism against guys exists? Ok... agreed.

Lol men get very worked up in here alllll the time. Doesn't mean she hates men. She obviously is speaking to those that this directly applies to- the men that have to pay child support and are more worried about how the woman is spending the money than the well-being of their kids. That is maddening... Granted, she didn't take into consideration the fact that some men are still in their children's lives and pay child support, but cut her some slack. I would get really annoyed if I had a kid and …

I think this is very interesting- I can understand how that would put a lot of pressure on men to be strong and powerful and get the ladies, etc. But what I don't understand is what they say about bottling up emotions. I have read studies on the opposite having to do with feelings. They say that women are more depressed than men because they have been taught to talk about their problems all the damn time. It actually makes you relive what is upsetting you over and over and just stresses you out.…

I didn't say that men were to be excluded. I know women can be sexist and make generalizations about men. But is it really a huge problem? How have you personally felt affected by the sexism from women?

Sheesh...I admit there would be more whining and bitching about men if there were more women on here.. But...to be honest though I haven't heard a woman say as evil and degrading things about men as I have the other way around

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
