You know what? You're right. Going to jail for 7.5 years to get raped and beaten on a bullshit charge is much preferable to having to learn a new language and struggle to rebuild a life for a bit. Being in America is that worth it, and every other country is overrun with poverty.

the money is that he can't withdraw it from a bank Why not? He's not barred from his finances. If he withdraws it all at once, you are right, if there is a red flag to be set off, that would do it, but... driving from Pennsylvania to Mexico without getting caught is highly unlikely Don't speed or break laws like your life depends on it. Pay for gas and food with the cash. Drive there in as straight of a shot as you can. Dump the car when you are within walking distance of Mexico (or at a boat ha…

Who said anything about going through an official border crossing station? And it's not like Mexico is enforcing Americans from going south into its country. And he says he didn't have lawyer money but that doesn't mean he's flat broke. Sure it would take some time to improve your future quality of life, but that's still infinitely better than the lifestyle of a jail cell

Were you not sent to jail immediately? Dude, what are you doing, flee the country today, 7.5 prime years of your life isn't worth being in America, much less for what you described above. I'd be packing for central america immediately and going from there.

The first.. "You can't see your whole face, this shouldn't even be on here". The other was a picture of me all bloodied up from a rugby match. I thought it looked masculine/tough. No, it makes you look scary and not attractive. Switched it out for a full body pic of me just standing there in a tight rugby jersey and look buff and made it the 2nd pic.

exactly. I had a buddy's girlfriend review my photos. My main one and another got deleted, new ones added, and the order shuffled. My hit rate went up exponentially. And to think, my main photo is one I use on facebook and always thought was a good one of me haha

I usually like in person something like this... "So you seem fun/cool etc. Are you single?" "Yes" "Well, wanna grab a drink sometime?" "Sure!" "I'm free Tuesday and Wed happy hour, or Thursday a bit later". "Wednesday works!" "Cool. I'll shoot you a text tomorrow. What's your phone number." "Nice meeting you, talk to you soon" Assuming she says yes to "are you single" this has worked about 90% of the time for me to holding the actual date. I text minimally between then and the date.

Hey, same to you if you are in the same boat. Tell me what's up and I'll give my best advice. I've been on both sides of the fences... going from a strict private school with 15 people in my grade for K-6 to a large public middle school cause major culture shock and depression in me that I couldn't fit in and had trouble making friends. I had to relearn how to interact with people and by 11th grade that was fixed (although the opposite sex not really). However I was getting mixed in with the wro…

Alright Jiuholar, I'd say in 14 years I've turned my potential nosediving life into a real success. This time period includes middle school through 6 years of my now successful career. I'm very happy and doing well although I wasn't always. Along with creating an institution that could do much better than the college education I received, becoming a life coach has been on my potential to do list. I have no formal training in psychology, but I have gone from depressed to loving life. I'd be happy…

If ADD and depression, which are illnesses tied to neurochemistry, are not mental illnesses of the brain, what are they? Personality. I have a wild one with lots of thoughts. Others are sad. Alzihmers is a mental illness. Downs syndrome is a mental illness. Retardation is a mental illness. Depression and ADD are not...

Actually I have ADD. I take a drug for it and makes my a completely different person - focused and on top of my game. ADD is not a mental illness either. Also, if you were depressed, why not just get on prozac for the interim, and take steps to improve you life in the long term?

Depression isn't a mental illness... Reminds me of the Southpark episode where Jesus is healing the sick, and everyone rushes the alcoholic to the front of the line
