Bro I'm a dude. I never believe women were oppressed, I think feminism is a plight on humanity, I think it needs to be rid of. You are making a lot of assumptions I see a lot of hatred for an entire group of people based on what a tiny minority have said. Of course it's men's responsibility to fix this, it's always our responsibility, and it's a thankless job most of the time, the reason men have gone out of their way to find good women is so they can get some thanks for what they do. Life is su…

Well no two people are ever going to get along perfectly there is always going to be compromises. It sounds like you are just asking for a lifeless husk that agrees with everything you say rather than a human being with their own thoughts and emotions that you can bounce ideas off of.

The problem is that this is the end of humanity. This is just an excuse to not try and fix anything. You can't just check out that's how things go even worse than they are now. All it takes for evil to win, is for good men to do nothing. This is just another way for men to check out and ignore what is happening in wider society as it crumbles around us.

I doubt it, there are plenty of healthy well adjusted men and women out there. You just gotta find them.

Because it's the path of least resistance just because something is more enticing doesn't mean it's better for you. Yeah junk food is great, it's wayy more enticing than healthy food, it doesn't mean it's the better option.

That's just pure nihilistic hedonism. I'm really worried that a lot of people are going to give up fulfilling healthy relationships in exchange for the easy path of sex bots.

No you can have knowledge on a subject be fine with it being legal and still disapprove and think less of the people that do it. All the other stuff I knew of I just don't think it makes up for the rest of it, and all of it seems unhealthy to me. Maybe I'm coming off a bit strong but I've had a hell of a time not only finding a date, but finding a date that wasn't into some sort of kink. I think the woman I dated recently was the only one I've ran into in the last decade that wasn't involved in …

How is my outlook tainted? You degrade, you humiliate, you do all sorts of awful shit, and you're supposed to just be okay with it because everyone consented and there's some after care. It still takes a kind of fucked up person to be able to harm their partner like that whether they enjoy it or not. Not exactly what the crayon eater thing is about but you do you.
/r/MensRights23/05/23 01:57 PM

I am not into kink in fact I hate the entire culture and don't like it, I am familiar with safety, and the community since I live in a pretty degenerate town and have degenerate friends. I've been to kink clubs and all, it just never appealed to me whatsoever. But I was a virgin and was wanting to finally get that out of the way so I agreed. It just felt so degrading and dehumanizing, my next sexual relationship was 100% vanilla and felt absolutely amazing there was so much intimacy she enjoyed …

My experience was the opposite it just made me super uncomfortable and feel like she just wasn't in the least bit interested. She was into the whole bratty thing, it left a really bad taste in my mouth and completely put me off anyone that's into kink. Plus if I love someone I don't want to degrade or humiliate them. I'm a strong believer that people don't get into kink without some serious past unresolved trauma.

At least for me in a relationship I would say part of a healthy relationship is doing things you don't want to that make your partner happy.

Yeah but then they are into kink which comes with a whole host of issues.

Well to be fair I follow the same idea. If you are trying to catch a fish do you ask the fish or a fisherman. So if you want a date do you ask the people you're trying to date or the people who have gotten dates with the type of people you want to date.
/r/MensRights23/05/23 01:07 PM

Well of course men and women's actions are perceived differently we are different. At least for myself when a woman has come on a bit too strong it never deeply bothered me like it would be annoying but not offensive and most men I know would agree this is the case. Men just aren't as hyper risk averse.

I suspect this is where all the ideas of guys sleeping around and not settling down comes from. I don't know a single guy that doesn't just want to settle down and build a family, I think I know one woman that wants that. I imagine a lot also stems from them waiting for a guy to approach rather than being the approacher so of course they deal with a really tiny minority of men on a daily basis.
/r/MensRights23/05/23 09:57 AM

Communism, it's all fucking communism. Check out James Lindsay's new discourses podcast. It boils down to an idea called repressive tolerance you can't even let your enemy think about ideas that go against your movement. It's really horrific.

I think this comes back to male hyper-agency, and female hypo-agency. Men have all the power therefore they must take actions to help the poor women, women have no power so there is nothing they can do. It's really some BS, hell I'm not even opposed to a gynocentric society I just want us to get some appreciation for the sacrifices we make.

I'm 29M and assuming this keeps going well, just met a 22F that seems like damn near exact type. Doesn't feel weird or anything and fuck what other people think. Do what's best for you, and being 28 doesn't mean shit most people aren't getting married until their 30s anyway.

Yeah sure there will be drama sometimes, the problem are a lot of women like to create drama where it doesn't need to exist. It's great when you find one that doesn't do that, it's a breath of fresh air.

You missed bodily integrity while circumcision has become more rare, it's something that should be out right illegal. Family court is so heavily biased against men in the US it borders on a human rights violation. I would argue no fault divorce is a big men's rights issue. Without fault divorce men are stuck in a situation where marriage means nothing but signing your life away to another person with very potentially zero return.
/r/MensRights04/02/23 03:21 PM
1

It's likely that a lot of them would want to settle down as well if there were some benefits to men again. Marriage has become a no win deal for men, and if there was at least some benefit quite a few men that sleep around would likely take that option rather than the constant churn of finding a new woman all the time.
/r/MensRights04/02/23 01:58 PM
3

I definitely don't make it about sex, all I said is sex is intrinsically linked to a romantic relationship. One part of many reasons you may not find a romantic relationship is not being sexually attractive. Things can have an aspect of sexuality to them and not just be all about sex.
/r/MensRights04/02/23 01:52 PM
1

Yeah that's called nihilism and depression. Not a healthy mindset. Life is pretty great even in the bad times.
/r/MensRights04/02/23 05:00 AM

Because it would keep a lot of men off the market, and give men much more confidence in marriage potentially increasing their want to commit rather than just sleep around.
/r/MensRights04/02/23 04:57 AM
3

Because they are intrinsically linked. If you feel sexually worthless you likely don't have access to relationships either. I know for myself I've always just wanted to find one woman, settle down, have a family, etc. Part of having a hard time finding that has been feeling a bit sexually worthless. You look around and see so many people just falling into relationships and you can't figure out why the hell you can't find one it's a really odd feeling. I think I'm starting to come out of the othe…

Except not getting a lawn mower isn't you failing at the one thing you are designed to do. A living things entire existence is to reproduce itself it's the most fundamental drive, so it tends to get you a little down when you aren't achieving the goal of the deepest most primordial part of your brain.
/r/MensRights04/02/23 03:15 AM

A fundamental part of the human experience is intimate connection. Men who can't get that just feel like they're starving, but it won't kill them they'll just live forever hungry.

At least what I've seen the men I know that feel this way aren't trying to bed 20 women a night they're trying to find a single woman, with no kids, to settle down and start a family. They can't find many that have a body count under 10.

Dude you are recommending some wild shit. First off sexuality isn't a choice either you are straight or you're gay you can't just decide enjoy having sex with men, or women, sure you can go through the motions but I doubt it would in any way be pleasurable past busting a nut. At least for myself it's not just the sex it's emotional connection along with a sexual connection that I want, to me those are pretty intrinsically linked. And it's not just caring for children it's the familial aspect you…

Personally for myself I think gender neutral bathrooms are fine, but we need to definitely have have lockers rooms based on sex, either that or stalls for changing and whatnot. I don't think trans women are in danger by being around men, and I don't think young girls are in danger being around men. I find myself disagreeing with both sides on this one since everyone assumes men are evil.

You can be supportive and empathetic without being emotional. There is a difference between feeling emotions, and letting them control you. I think it was Jonathan Haidt that had a great metaphor about this. You emotions are like an elephant and your rational mind is like someone riding it. If your emotions are well trained, and under control then there is no problem they help move your rational mind in the direction it wants to go, but if you don't have your emotional mind under control it can …
/r/MensRights04/11/22 10:36 AM

Yeah but plenty of people aren't like that and it's not hypocritical to accept that on average men, and women are just different. Admittedly I would prefer to find a woman that isn't very emotional but that's gonna be real hard to find, I'm gonna have to make some compromises to find anyone and that's something I can handle compromising on.
/r/MensRights03/11/22 02:19 PM
1

Yeah that's great in theory but we live in the real world, you make do with what you've got. Plus honestly quite a lot of men really are just not super emotive, sure we have our emotions but we just don't see what good it does to show them. Rather than cry, or get angry, or get annoyed I try and fix the problem. Now in the case of a death, or serious accident where there isn't really a solution sure I'll get emotive but most of the time being emotive just feels like a waste of energy it makes yo…

It isn't just one snake, sure you might be one of the good ones but y'all are very far and few. The vast majority of women men come into contact with lose interest if we are seen as weak.
/r/MensRights31/10/22 02:59 AM

Honestly I think a lot of that stereotype comes from the high occurrence of adhd in men. It's way more common in us and one of the biggest symptoms of adhd is lack of organization and messyness, hell I'm a great example I desperately want to stay tidy but I just get overwhelmed by it all.
/r/MensRights31/10/22 02:55 AM

So while I think men and women can be friends I think if the woman ever gives the opportunity to take it further most men would take it. Sure there will be some outliers but men are wayyyyyy more opportunistic with how few options most men have.
/r/MensRights31/10/22 02:52 AM

The definition you just stated is pretty much the one I've seen people disagree with. Acting stereotypically male isn't toxic it's a stereotype for a reason, sure some guys won't be that way but the ones that are, are no less valid.
/r/MensRights31/10/22 02:49 AM

To correct what they are saying "All the men I talk to only want sex" They filter out the guys that are looking for relationships.
/r/MensRights31/10/22 02:47 AM
4

There are plenty of guys that want that as well, I think more the issue is that women want to act like their life choices shouldn't matter to the men they are interested in. Like sure do what you want but if a guy isn't interested in that don't get mad at him find someone else that is.
/r/MensRights31/10/22 02:46 AM

I think people like you speaking out are invaluable, you've been able to see both sides of the equation, it gives you a bit more insight. I just wanted to say thank you for bothering to point this stuff out.

That men with resources have an easy time pulling women, or that they'll be a cheater. I'm a pretty well off guy and I can tell you it ain't any easier. I also would never even contemplate the possibility of cheating.

Plenty of guys want monogamy, I'm definitely one of them, I don't want to deal with the headache of constantly learning a new person.

Because MRAs tend to believe in universal human rights, and the free market of ideas. Part of making sure you are getting things done is arguing with people. The reason the left is losing is because they refuse to argue with their enemies. They got strong through the 80s and 90s by arguing now that they've just started shutting people down they can't justify themselves.

I'm actually all for judging people by their sexual practices I think people are way too fast and loose with sex these days. I get what you are saying about how many use it, but most of the people I've met use it to refer to a specific type of person like the mass shooter types and they use it to refer to both men and women. Maybe the circles I travel in are a bit different but most people I know don't think of incel as a gendered term.
/r/MensRights26/07/22 10:32 PM

Incel isn't just referring to a virgin it's referring to a very particular type of virgin. The ones that are like that for good reason, the ones that carry a lot of anger and lash out at people. Also I think you may believe that I'm a woman I am not I am in fact a 28 year old male virgin, though it's not involuntary. At one time I might have been borderline incel but I finally realized that I hadn't had chances I just hadn't found the right person. I think that's the difference between a guy tha…

Those types of guys are included in that category of guys who are willing to approach even with the societal pressure. I would also guess that a lot of these guys are only that way due to how difficult and dangerous it is to approach a woman these days, they are already on high alert and when they are turned down it just pushes them too far, keep in mind I'm not trying to justify just explain why so decent guys and fall into that trap. Yeah they may not marry them, but they a lot of times end up having kids with them. Sadly as great as these women may be I'm not looking to take care of another man's kids. I really think the solution to this is to stop shaming men and making them terrified to approach women so that women's experiences are just those guys who have the lack of manners to approach in a world where we've been constantly told how bad it is to do that.

Yeah this is a theory I've been tinkering with in my head for a while. Almost every man I know has seen the pattern that it seems women tend towards dating dickeheads, and I'm starting to suspect it isn't that women want those guys, it's just that those are the only guys that approach them. Same with why women tend to have such a skewed view of men. The men who are decent and care about others opinions listened when society asked us to chill and all that did was allow filter the interactions wom…

No if we don't have children billions will starve. We don't have the workforce to maintain the economy and food production. We have a top heavy population right now. Once again more people = less people starving. And there aren't people that own everything there are a couple people that own quite a lot and can be just as easily dethroned as anyone else the free market has a way of stabilizing things. Stop giving up, don't give into this post-modern deathcult.

No you have to have at least two to replace yourself. Preferably a third if you can financially afford it. Well I don't want to see humanity die off and I think there is a obligation to see it continue. The way we solve world hunger, and poverty is more people, and more ideas. I'm unapologetically a human supremacist we need people, and we definitely need to be at least at replacement rate if not a little higher, at least in developed countries that can handle the load.

It quite literally is the only reason we exist we are walking, talking DNA replication machines. As an atheist I can't see any other reason I exist except to help get the human species a little bit further into the future. Because you have to raise the kids. Marriage isn't really necessary to raise kids but monogamy sure is. People were staying in monogamous relationships to raise their children for a long time, everyone getting married is actually a pretty recent innovation. While in general we just need more people, it would definitely be preferable if they were people that were raised in two parent households to avoid the pitfalls of single parenthood. We are wired to have and raise kids so naturally our biological makeup would make that a crazy rewarding journey. Plus it gives you family, and people you can care for unconditionally. Happiness is just a moment it goes away, fulfillment is a constant state that you achieve through effort. You are not always happy while being fulfilled sometimes being fulfilled sucks it's fulfilling to go to the gym and stay in shape but it definitely isn't something I'm happy about. I don't know about that. Every man I know has rock bottom expectations. Basically the standard list is 1. not insanely unhealthy, 2. only a little annoying. Women tend to have higher expectations as would be expected since they take a higher risk in sexual relationships, and this used to be balanced out by the societal expectation of monogamy. The man's proclivities towards spreading his seed were tempered, and therefore women could be more assured that the risk they were taking was a bit lower …

I'm thoroughly convinced incels are a result of the decline of monogamy in society. If people were monogamous we wouldn't have so many people that can't pair up.

Your problem is that you care. I can almost guarantee you 90% of the time where you feel those things are bad it's you placing your own insecurities on to the other people in the room. You have to learn to be confident in yourself and stop worrying about what people think about you.

Are you not getting the point that it's you that's the problem not the social norm? Offence is taken not given and we shouldn't give into a society where we worry constantly about what everyone will think. It's people's job to control their own emotions not societies.

I have quite literally never met someone IRL that has a problem with a light tap on the shoulder to get their attention. You just sound like you are terrified of human contact. You are the one with the problem, you're the outlier. Especially if you don't know their name it might be the only way to get their attention, or to get their attention when they are on the phone and you just need to hand them something, there are plenty of perfectly reasonable situations where a tap on the shoulder makes…

Maybe I'm the weird one but like I said I have zero issue with women having privileges those social norms exist for a reason. Sure legally we should be equal but in the past it was perfectly acceptable for society to acknowledge that women had more power in the sexual marketplace which is probably why so many restrictions were placed on pre-marital sex. But in the modern world I don't see why we couldn't acknowledge that and at least sympathize with each other. Men get it hard because we can't g…

Well women have an in group bias, and men have an out group bias and for good reason. I think at least as a guy all I ask for is acknowledgement. I don't mind that women have privileges men don't enjoy all I ask for is people to stop lying and admit it. We are sexually dimorphic and that's okay people just want to act like we're not and somehow men have all these benefits when in reality each sex has pluses and minuses and that's never going to be solved.

I think probably the biggest problem he'll have is that he will always be a subpar man. Sure you can look like someone who was born male, but to really succeed you have to be the best of the best and physically even with hormones likely he'll always be very petite and not very masculine in frame. So it's definitely kind of the worst of both worlds. You know what privileges you lost as a woman, and it's doubtful you'll ever really be able to compete with other men due to physical limitations.

You've gotta hold them to their own standards. You have to make them realize how bad these rules are by making them apply them evenly. Most of the southern states it's true and the CDC has a pretty similar definition that excludes forced evelopment. I know sorry it's a link to wikipedia but I was having a hard time finding online resources referencing this. Though it does seem that they are trying to change the law to be gender neutral by removing the term "rape" altogether. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_of_males#Female-on-male_rape
/r/MensRights28/07/20 10:13 PM

Forced penetration and forced envelopment are legally different terms at least in the united states. Both refer to the perpetrator not the victim. So if the perpetrator forcibly penetrates someone that is considered rape but at least under united states law forced envelopment falls under it's own category which would refer to the perpetrator forcing the victim to penetrate them.

Teenagers aren't inherently stupid or irresponsible we train them to be like that. Sure they lack some self control but as long as they don't die or get seriously maimed the bad decisions they make should be learning experiences for them rather than instilling them with a victim complex.

I think of the draft as a necessary evil. Without a government being able to compel their citizenry into military service they would fail in situations like WW2. Also since the military is federal it is every state. I don't think they would be given as dangerous jobs though I think that's less preference than it is skill and ability most women can't do the jobs required by the military like carrying comrades out of combat situations or the extreme physical exertion required to be special forces.…

There is a difference between relying on someone for food and shelter and relying on something for basic functions like circulating oxygen, filtering the blood, digesting food, etc. And you can unplug someone on life support after a car accident if they are deemed to be brain dead. Fetuses exist in the same state now that state does improve over time but it doesn't change the fact that a 2 or 3 month fetus is not yet a human. It's a potential human but not yet a human. Of course this is all opin…

I really feel that it's because feminism has said you can expect everything and owe nothing. They've taken the mutual respect out of gender relations by saying you not only don't have to respect men but you are morally obligated to disrespect them while expecting the same respect that women have always been afforded.

I think it's probably some left over programming from the fact that women traditionally made a much larger sacrifice in having sex than men. It's just something we'll have to work on.

14 is the age outside of western countries in most western countries it's 16 US has the highest on average of the western countries because most states say 18. The only places outside of the west with higher consent ages would be places like Saudi Arabia where it's 25.

Yeah I honestly couldn't care less about the power dynamic. Sure if the student comes forward saying they were coerced then yeah they should probably face some consequences. But if a teacher fucks a student of consenting age and that student says everything is fine then that's their choice. Personal responsibility has to come into play at a certain point.

Jesus I'm surprised to see this happened to two people who happen to be on the same board. If you don't mind me asking what age were you? Was this a case of attempted child molestation or was this when you were much older.

Most western countries you mean. A good chunk of the world considers 13 enough. I disagree with that but it's worth stating that the west is really the only place where people take into account psychological maturity rather than sexual maturity.

Just a quick clarification for you at least in the US women are subject to the draft now.

I think that this is just human nature. I for one don't mind this setup the thing that's missing is the appreciation for it. I don't mind working 10 hours a day so my future wife can stay at home with the kids as long as she show appreciation for it. Really where feminism has fucked up gender relations is by telling women they should expect this and anything less is mean.

Fetuses are not people they can not survive without being inside of someone. Once they can survive on their own internal systems then they are people. We have the same rules with people that are in comas if they can't survive on their own removing them from their life support is acceptable. Like I said I don't like it I don't approve of it but it's a necessary evil.

I'm pro-choice but that applies to both sides I consider abortion a necessary evil. I think men should be able to remove their legal and financial rights as well as women. I prefer people to not have abortions but it's gonna happen anyway better it be in a save hospital than in a back alley.

Well in the US we can trace it all back to Doctor Kellogg and the puritans they used circumcision as a deterrent from masturbation then eventually started claiming all sorts of other benefits from it that turned out to be incorrect.

I wasn't trying to list every single problem we have I was just listing two of the higher up issues in my mind. But in all honesty the biggest problems in my mind is the slow creep of socialism and identity politics. Also why the hell are you bringing up the KKK there are like 10,000 members left and that's one hell of a generous estimation. How did you not get that I was making a joke. But to be totally honest America literally doesn't ever do anything wrong. haha. I would say the biggest things we've fucked fucked up is that we still have a death penalty in a system we know is flawed and circumcision still being legal bothers the shit out of me.

Stop making assumptions about Americans. Most of us are happy to admit when we've fucked up. Our government doesn't truly represent us in most situations.

No she made friends with Chris Raygun started getting more reasonable and Sargon had said some things he regretted and had been blamed for some things that he had nothing to do with. He wanted to apologize for a while and figured that since she had cooled a bit that he would get in touch with her at the youtube convention and he apologized and she cried and they made good and are on good terms now.

Well I don't believe there is a conspiracy against human health. Even if there is doctors at the ground level wouldn't have any idea. The more people you include in a conspiracy the more likely it is to get out. If there was a conspiracy against human health that would be quite interesting since we live far longer in today's society than at any other point in human history.

Yes I am as you rightly assumed cut something that after explaining to my mother she regrets. But that's not relevant to the current subject. You can't blame people that follow orders under duress this is the same reason we don't charge someone for killing someone else while they have a gun to their head. That is an extreme example but it's still applicable here seeing as with a soldier they could be tossed in prison or with a doctor they could loose their job and starve. You can't fault people …

/r/MensRights04/10/17 12:11 AM

No they're not they're following orders it's the same with doctors. You can't blame someone for doing something if not doing it would end their career or in the case of a soldier land them in prison we can encourage the people who do refuse but we can't blame those that continue to out of self preservation.
/r/MensRights03/10/17 11:02 PM

It started with early Christianity. I do see it as evil though it's not criminal because there is no law. I just don't put the blame on the modern medical establishment or the doctors to them they are doing something in the best interest of the child. This is like blaming a soldier for killing someone they were told to kill. The blame is not on them it's on the person making them do it and in the case of MGM I would consider it American society as a whole.

I've a friend that something similar happened to. He thought about going to the police but he didn't risk it because he was 23 and she was 15. She had a history of doing it and his friends knew exactly who he was talking about when he told them what had happened while he was half blacked out.

No inertia requires there to be a history of something there is no long history of not cutting men in this country. The anti MGM movement is at most 2 decades old whereas MGM has been a practice for at least a couple hundred years in western culture. Sorry to get onto the semantics thing it's just become a bit of a sore spot for me recently with all the redefining of word.

Cultural inertia does not shift that's what I meant by inertia, the word you're looking for is zeitgeist. Though I would still disagree 90% of the men, and women I speak to about this either think I'm crazy for worrying about it, say that it's a problem but we have bigger issues, or in most women's cases say that uncut are ugly. It's culture not money. There is also the side where men who are cut are afraid to admit that they were harmed because they don't want to consider themselves victims. Th…

I think it's a total lack of any sort of concern for men that is blinding these people. There is also the side that if these doctors were to admit they were doing something wrong they would have to accept all the harm they've done throughout their lives. In the 50s it might have been about money when it was popularized but now I think it's just cultural inertia.

This is such a shame. Admittedly it doesn't hit me the same way that a young girl getting molested does. I logically know it should but for some reason it doesn't, must be biology. But the way some people are so callous just blows my mind. Okay it doesn't bother you as much but don't start encouraging it even if you "wish it happened to you". I honestly don't even mind the jokes it's just that many of these people seem so sincere.
/r/MensRights03/10/17 09:38 PM

I really wouldn't blame the doctors to be honest. It's so deeply ingrained in the American zeitgeist that it's not something that most people even think to question. It's a deep cultural problem that we can't really put at the feet of modern doctors.

Well the thing is this isn't the first time she has done shit like this. Though I think talking to the dean probably will be a first option I was just thinking Title IX because it could at least be somewhat anonymous he could claim he didn't file it but that it was true. They don't ask for who submitted it.

Thanks I'll have to check that book out. And to let you know I've just talked to him and he is going to see if the other people in his class would also be willing to file title IX complaints as well as go and speak to the dean of students.

Well it was a social studies class and this teacher has made it abundantly clear that she is not too fond of men. I'm not %100 on this but I believe she may have even mentioned something about "seeing what it feels like to be a woman" She even mentioned maybe they would learn that they don't particularly like being men The last party I'm %100 on. Not sure what I could do to prove it's true but it did happen. I thought the same exact thing when he initially told me. He actually didn't even start the story off with that he was actually telling us how he had gotten drunk at school that day and then explained it was so he could get through it so he could pass the class and not have to deal with the teacher again next year. Yes technically she didn't "Make" him do anything though this was a piece of "Extra credit" aimed at low grade students that all just happened to be male by a very social justice orientated teacher. I'm not sure about the exact wording but is that not some sort of abuse of authority.

On point one and two. This is in out local community college I'm not going to mention the name of it as not to mess up any investigation that may happen.
