He's chatting with 19 year olds in May, engaged to a 29 year old by Nov. Must be true love.

I would participate in one. But I'm not sure I'm ready to fully deconstruct my involvement in my own abuse in a public forum yet. I have seen some other women say similar things though so if any of y'all wanna throw in first....

I would have never met him. I met him in the kink scene. Every single man in that environment has been abusive, lying and somewhere on the cluster B personality spectrum. Every woman, including myself at the time, was at least very injured. Now that I'm healthier I am repulsed by those people and would never get back into that scene.

That is true but some people don't know that and it is not always standard to test for it.

Be careful with those STD tests. A couple aren't screened for and/or don't have tests for men. Herpes and genital warts come to mind.

Girl my NVX had to have his dad buy his car for him- he was 36 at the time. I always did our budgeting and taxes, cooked, cleaned. Did all the work to find, buy and move to our house (which I kept after I kicked him out). When he had acute appendicitis (at age 37) that almost killed him, he didn't even know what it was. Guess who had to inform him he's about to fucking die... It's not an age thing it's the manchild himself.

What a tragedy that we women are robbed of the opportunity to be bludgeoned with a random Internet Man's self serving opinion about how women he doesn't even know should live. Wherever will we find this opportunity again?!

I will be his doormat when he chooses repeatedly to ignore my feelings. I will be his scapegoat as he blames me for his failures. I will be his enabler when hes abusive behaviours start to make themselves known. I will be his helicopter mom if it looks like he might have to face consequences for his own actions. I will be his sex toy even when my satisfaction is never achieved. I will be stunned and devastated when in the end he still treats me like shit.

It literally doesn't matter what you do. You could live in a pitch dark cave alone and there would be blank video soud porn. Putting the responsibility on women to look a certain way is their way of avoiding responsibility. I'm not Muslim but I wonder why God made all of his creatures so beautiful but only female humans personally responsible for hiding our beauty.

So right! And when they refuse or can't learn they can fly right past dumb and into dangerous. Women like Ghislaine Maxwell running around sex trafficking children for her child abusing "boyfriend"

Both of you have good points. How do you even know better when you've been trained from birth to accept abuse as love. "Boys only tease you because they like you." And accept that your existence must be defined by your relationship with men-wife, mother, wh*re. But to OP's point, there is a point where continuing to internalize misogyny and tolerate abuse, incompetence and disrespect is at least a sign of willful ignorance, at worst a sign that the woman is incapable of learning therefore "dumb.…

These morons make our point for us. FDS "we hate men with shitty behavior." These Clowns: "Well I guess you'll be alone forever cause most men behave like this." FDS "Yeah. We know."

This is an excellent write up on some of the psychology of being in an abusive relationship. No one is immune to them, we're all hairy animals wandering around looking for meaning and susceptible to our stupid brain tricks occasionally. Little addition to the ego-defense is having to grieve the loss of your fantasy relationship. It literally is like a death of a loved one, once you admit to yourself that you've been duped. The person that you loved only exists in your head. Whoops. 🤡

I refuse to see any male practitioner. Statistically you are less likely to be readmitted for the same health issue(s) if you see a woman. ETA one study (there are many more) https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamainternalmedicine/fullarticle/2593255

Don't be hard on yourself. The ability to connect to like-minded women in great quantities is relatively recent (internet, cell phones etc). Financial and societal independence is relatively new (ex. in the US a woman couldn't open a credit card without her husband's approval until the 70s). The only narratives we have, historically always came from men and their brainwashing. Change is slow but congratulations for doing it and congratulations for being so strong and successful in the face of al…

Damn is this my ex? FYI sex addiction and psuedo-bisexuality is a symptom of certain personality disorders. My LEO/military abusive ex had sex with men. Not cause he was attracted to them, but it was a way to abuse other men and get away with it. He was equally abusive to women of course. He pretended to be doing me a HUGE HONOR by coming out me, after the lying and cheating and emotional and physical abuse. Thanks buddy.

And that red pill BS is a self fulfilling prophecy. They manipulate low self esteem or otherwise vulnerable women into having awful relationships/ abusive sex with them. Then they wonder why all the women they encounter are not stable, loving, authentic, devoted partner material. Which in turn is a feedback loop- more misogyny develops which feeds more red pill behavior which attracts more questionable women. Rinse. Repeat.

I think the implication is that the only redeeming qualities of this person are tall and white. Neither of which, as you noted, the person had anything to do with achieving.

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who mostly just wants to be left alone. I don't want shitty men's attention, I don't want shitty "journalists" attention, I don't want shitty reddit admin attention. I just want to live my life without endless shitty people telling me I need to accommodate their particular expectations of me.

Counter-counter point (also haven't seen the vid): If they want to discourage frivolous 911 calls would they not charge her with making one? 2.agreed that this doesn't meet the criteria of illegal. However I would argue the boundary between intrusive and illegal is permeable and very thin. Short hop from "following a woman on the street" to "stalking a woman on the street". And I would also be very concerned that many bystanding creeps may not differentiate between "undesirable " and "illegal" b…

Sure. But no reason to publicly call attention to a woman who feels threatened by a man videoing her by announcing over a loud speaker. Embarrasses the woman for feeling threatened by a strange man. Encourages creeps who may believe that cops will overlook their intrusive behavior. Escalates the situation instead of de-escalates it. Assuming worst case is that the woman overreacted, this is STILL not the way to handle it.

Oh God oh God oh God this so much. The thin blue line protects them, NOT you. My NVX was a cop. He is an expert in all types abuses. And he was a compulsive liar by his own admission! It's nauseating. He gets to wave his badge around and pretend he's morally superior while abusing whomever he can get away with. For my POC I'm so sorry I never saw this until it was in my face. My experience was that I was raised to believe cops were the best of us so I believed the narrative of "a few bad cops". …

Yeah Atlanta and Boulder are reminders that it's not uncommon for male attention to be deadly. In related news, I was really enjoying having a whole year free of active mass shooter reports. Guess we're back to normal now (for the US).

What is mind bending is that these scrotes don't realize that improving their lives actually improves their lives. Them being responsible, respectful, self-loving, and interesting people with hobbies and strong character will first and foremost benefit them. Then, like FDS always says, the HVW will gravitate towards them. They won't waste their lives in the doomed activity of trying to manipulate some lost soul into fixing them.

"Used to be controlling..." sis he still is, maybe not to you cause you've grown stale and he lost interest. But he's definitely taking out his personality disorders on someone. Also he's mad that you found out because you're getting closer to uncovering his other lies (mistresses, other families, whatever it may be).

No I had to fully be separated, no contact, block, delete, throw everything away etc. in order to move on. Its literally an addiction or a disease. You have to cut the cancer out to heal. Be patient with yourself and we are cheering for you. You may find yourself snooping around to see what he's doing. Pay attention to how your body responds to that. Is your heart racing, is your breathing shallow, are you crying, angry, scared? Recognize these as the toxic symptoms of an addiction and remind yo…

Oof I feel so bad for you I divorced my mentally, physically and sexually abusive narc last year. It was after 1.5 years of him dragging ass to exchange any kind of paperwork or communication. He had to be threatened into anything, and we didn't have kids and most of our stuff was kept separate. No one fought for alimony. It was sheer spite. I promise you, once you are completely separated from this scrote these feelings will fade. Its the trauma bonding that makes us feel addicted to the emotio…

I agree with this. As a little white girl in the 90s, Disney definitely had a strong hand in convincing me early that it is noble for me to permit men to be toxic and abusive, and that if I am the most noble and selfless then magically good relationships will appear. See: Aladdin, Beauty and Beast, the Little Mermaid. Weirdly I dont remember any 80s cartoons that carried this narrative.

I read that whole garbage. Entire time I was thinking, some dude most have told her what was going on here, cause no way she actually visited this forum or the website. Everytime I think I've reached the pinnacle of FDS appreciation, I fall more in love with this community. Sorry you ladies have to deal with this from all sides.

I'd add that with the submarining especially, it is NOT a compliment that they are "thinking of you." They are thinking that you are weak-willed and low enough in self esteem that this BS will work. They are NOT thinking that you are the magical, fantasy girl of their dreams-the one that got away.

My mom made a LOT of mistakes but she was a boomer (I'm old). Her lifelong brainwashing was even more overwhelming then mine. Its not that she didn't teach me anything, though. I saw what she did, how she suffered from it, and adjusted my behavior. She didn't have the capacity to sit me down and have a convo, but she taught me a lot, unconsciously.
