You're assuming she became a medical doctor, but she probably just got a doctorate in advanced lesbian dance theory or something.

Yeah, for people who think that this dude is just being dramatic because he saw someone complain about some crazy microaggression on reddit and applied it to a larger whole, here's the list of microaggressions that UCSC and UCLA sends to their students: https://academicaffairs.ucsc.edu/events/documents/Microaggressions_Examples_Arial_2014_11_12.pdf Saying "where are you from?" apparently sends the message that they don't belong here, and saying "speak up more" is implying that they need to assim…

I mean, like I said with the violence thing, it doesn't make it hard to make an argument that women have it easier because men killing other men is the cause for disparity. The dude that gets stabbed isn't privileged over the woman who didn't.

Honestly I don't think that this response is a valid point. It doesn't really matter what gender the criticism is coming from if you're still receiving it, just like how the fact that men are far more likely to be the victim of a violent crime is still valid even though the perpetrator is also far more likely to be male. The original feminine post is still stupid though, since that's a result of a woman's own vanity, while most straight guys wouldn't give two craps if someone wanted to criticize…

Bruh, men be like 5 times more likely to be the victim of a violent crime. If you so scared then just bring a firearm with you or something, I don't know why people keep using this argument.

It's the apex fallacy. To them, it doesn't matter what the bottom 99.9% of men experience because the most powerful men in the world are more powerful than most powerful women in the world. That's why Taylor Swift complains about being oppressed by the system for being a woman despite being worth 300 million dollars.

You know, when women didn't have the right to vote, the majority of them actually didn't want it, precisely because it came with mandatory responsibilities like bucket-duty and the draft.

Actually, when including prison populations, men are more likely to be sexually assaulted than women

I disagree that this should debunk weather or not it's a privilege. While I don't think it's a privilege because it's just stupid, it shouldn't matter whether it comes from men or women. Same reason why the fact that 'men are more likely to be the victim of a violent crime and, when including prison, are more likely to be sexually assaulted' point still stands as why women are privileged. It doesn't matter who it comes from because the man who is the victim of a violent crime at the hands of ano…
